    Cooper Kupp

Correction of my self - THE fastest gauntlet time in two years.  Second fastest go route.  No one jogs in the gauntlet - speed is a core point of the drill.

What it shows is that he doesn't break stride or slow down catching the ball because he is confident in his hands. Play speed vs. Running in shorts in a straight line. He's fast enough.

  2. They may have, they may not have. Who cares really. He's not yet played a snap in the NFL yet. The media can give the Chiefs an A+ for this trade and pick, but I recall them getting an A+ grade for taking Skye Moore as well. How did that turn out in actual game play? They got their guy, We got who Beane wanted, and Carter in the 3rd. We will know who won this trade in 3 years.

ive seen a lot of Gabe 2.0. Remember Gabe making those big time catches in big spots. prior to the disappointing season last year. If we can get a better version of Gabe as a floor...its a successful pick.

For every big play Gabe made he had an easy or crucial drop as well. Not just last year, but every year. Coleman has one of the lowest drop rates and fights for the ball

  4. He was picked to beat press man coverage and win contested passes. Something we have lacked in the playoffs the last several years vs. KC. He is highly athletic and only tested poorly in the 40yrd dash, top 5 of every other drill. His play speed is faster than most which is what we want and need. Still have some speed options available.

Yep, they just have 10 SB’s between them because they are lucky lol

Didn't say lucky, said they have benefited from having a great team and coach around them. In comparison to say Josh, He can play great, but when has his defense stepped up and made a play in the post season when needed against the Chiefs?

lol sure. You can say that with nothing to compare it to. Again the ridiculous BS around here is astonishing. Glad the season’s over.

What can you say to compare that he would? He has yet to play a game without a future hall of fame player or coach. We will see at some point.

I’m not saying you did. I’m saying a lot of people tried to minimize the greatness of the previous GOAT while he was playing. And you are doing the same thing to Mahomes now.

I feel the same way about Mahomes as I did Brady. They are very lucky to be in the situation they are. Stars have aligned to help them out. Whe. Brady needed his defense to be great they usually were. Mahomes is getting the same right now as his paly has slipped. He hasn't had to be great the last 2 years like he was the 3 before.

Brady is a system QB, Belichick made him! He’d be nothing without Belichick

    - Brady haters in 2012, who also no longer exist.

Didn't say Mahomes was a system QB. He has a ton of talent. But he has arguably the greatest offensive mind of this generation, had the fastest man in the NFL, arguably the greatest TE of all time. Maybe the best defensive mind in the last 10yrs as well. He didn't win this game tonight, but his defense and special teams did more than the 49ers to win.

Mahomes with McDermott would've been a disaster.

Exactly. Look at Mahomes in his 1st game action his rookie year. Would have been a lot of the same in year 2 is my guess.

He threw the game winning TD in OT and had 2 drive extending runs.

Again, what did he do that made him the best? Nothing special. Hit wide open guy in the flat at the end. No special run, not touched before 1st down. He had an avg at best game. Was able to win because of his defense and special teams played great games.

People around here have a tough time admitting it.  Mahomes is the best. If people watch all the little things he does and does not do… including what you mentioned. He’s the absolute best.  Allen is an excellent and fun football player to watch.  He’s not the QB Mahomes is though.

What did Mahomes do that made him the best? He played ok tonight. Threw a pick and had 1 touchdown gifted on a special teams blunder by the 49ers, and another easy pass on a wide open 3yrd play. He took sacks, made terrible throw aways, had 2 intentional grounding ( only 1 called). His defense and special teams carried his team tonight.

Agree it was a penalty, but then why did it take so long to figure out?  My thinking was the official planned to call PI, but they realized that wasn't going to go over well so came up with plan B.

They absolutely were going to call PI as the ref who threw the flag wasn't watching where the ball went. So they huddled and had to discuss exactly what happened and didn't come up with plan b but settled on holding as the right call.

As Gene S the rules expert stated on the air, don't get hung on the exact words of "the ball was fumbled out of bounds." Did the Steeler players helmet glance off it.  Did I clearly see it hit the helmet no, but can't say it didn't wither.   The replay wasn't clear enough to say for certain, so without being able to answer that question it goes back to has to be clear evidence to overturn.  It's one of those plays where if they had ruled Bills ball, it never would have been over turned the other way either.

Should they have given a better explanation, yes I agree there and probably in a couple days will read somewhere what it was.

But there were also a number of calls that went against Pitt that could have easily been called.  If I were a Steeler fan II'd be furious on that DH call that went against them late.  The announcers were all saying, the ball was un-catchable.  So the refs talked for about two minutes and figured out, lets change it from PI to DH, then the Steelers can't argue it couldn't be caught. To me the ball was in the air when contact was made which means the right call would be PI.

That DH was absolutely a penalty. The refs just had to decide if it was going to be PI or DH. They made the right call as the ball was so far out of bounds, but it doesn't negate the holding or illegal contact after 5 yards.
