  1. The people not understanding lake effect snow didn’t bother me one bit, they’re just either joking about it or truly ignorant to it.

The people that frustrate and bother me are the soft ass Bills fans that are getting upset with those folks and feel a need to put their life on the line defending the team over every little thing. Just let it ride, who cares. Couldn’t open twitter yesterday without seeing thousands of tweets from Bills fans repeating the same stuff about how lake effect snow works and that people died in a blizzard last year. Just wanna go to that site to see cool stars and hype videos and instead it’s a bunch of agitated weirdo’s who take it all too seriously.

You own a Bills Backer bar?

So are you not paying for your Bills Backer Bar supporters to watch the game? Or are you not going to simply watch the game a Bills Backer Bar that you supposedly own?

I can’t tell which option would be more ridiculous

  3. WGR is garbage imo

Jeremy was much better before being teamed up with Joe

Sal is terrific but can be a bit condescending without ever realizing and catching himself

Chris Brown I thought was one of the best talents before becoming full time and I had consistently wished for him to be full time, and be careful what you wish for I suppose

Steve Tasker doesn’t belong anywhere that he needs to use his words

Bulldog is meh. Not necessarily bad but definitely doesn’t offer much value.

I used to HATE Schopp and thought he was insufferable with constant pessimism, but since the Bills have became a good team I think he’s a legitimate talent and honestly the best person on WGR. The whole gambling talk is annoying, in regards of people complaining. It’s the way sports are trending, and honestly gambling in general is a very strong look at what consensus on sports are. Betting odds tell a lot of a story.

TL;DR, Despite all having their downfalls, Jeremy, Sal & Schopp aren’t terrible. They’re actually pretty good. The rest of WGR, especially Joe DiBiase and Nate Geary are blah. Nothing against these guys personally, just always been a pet peeve of mine. The greater population of Buffalo looks to this station for their sports talk and you just can’t often tune in and hear anything knowledgeable or any sort of valuable insight. They’re all better fit for podcasts imo, it’s annoying to me that a radio station doesn’t employ better quality talents.

You're leaving out a glaring omission with your post....Offensive and Defensive Lines.  I have not been impressed with this regime's ability to stock up the trenches on either side of the ball.  Until Beane shows he's capable of building much better lines I can't see them getting over the hurdle to winning the whole thing.

The defensive line started the year off phenomenally until Von’s injury, after a disappointing playoff loss last year Beane knew what he needed to address and he did so. It’s unfortunate that Von got injured at the same time that Rousseau and Oliver seemed to hit a regressive stretch, but he sought out to address the defensive line last year and without injury he would have done so successfully. Has he missed on Boogie and Epenesa? Yeah, he has. Tell me a GM that hits at 100% and I’ll show you how you’re wrong. Tell me a GM that hits at a rate higher than Beane and I’ll argue to my grave that Beane is better than almost every other GM in the league.

The issue this offseason is the offensive line and wide receiver. Beane has earned my trust and confidence that he will set out to address the offensive line this offseason and he will do so. Might he draft a third round pick that turns into a bust in the process? Yeah, he might. It’s the NFL, it happens. But where he’s earned my faith is that he’ll over address it to the point that if he does draft a bust, there will be so many other additions on the line made that overall it will still display vastly improved play.

My only issue with Beane thus far was the decision to go into the season with Gabe Davis as your WR2. It was short sighted and ignorant at the time, and it only looks worse after the season. Drafting a cornerback in the first round when you already had 3 All-Pro’s in your secondary, for a coach that has shown an ability to specialize in secondary development and get maximum contributions out of his players just made no sense then, and makes even less sense in hindsight after he split snaps with Benford and Jackson all season.

We need to step back as fans, take a deep breath and evaluate the organization as a whole IN COMPARISON to the rest of the league. Very few teams are doing it better than our front office and coaching staff right now, and I might argue that with this consistency and longevity it may only be the Chiefs (and maybe the 49ers) doing it better. If you want to nitpick, then do just that, nitpick away. But leave it at that, it’s just nitpicking.

The fire everybody, we’re never going to see success crowd and hot takes are out of control right now. We’ve turned into a spoiled fan base losing sight of what we have in front of us. From top to bottom, front office, coaching staff, roster talent, structure and etc, we are a top 5 organization in the NFL and we will be a top 5 organization in the NFL for years to come. Unfortunately we’re not the Chiefs, but when you’re a top 5 organization in the NFL for a decade plus, that level of consistency is going to get you a Lombardi, and maybe a few of them if luck strikes the right way.

  5. Check the board for the first time since the Bengals game.. And you’re telling me that so far 70% of people (19-8 in the poll currently) think there’s a better chance that we don’t win a championship under McBeane and Allen?

It was a rough playoff loss and embarrassing coaching, true.

McDermott is still a top 8 coach in the league, true.

Allen is still a top 3 quarterback in the league, true.

McDermott & Allen are still a top 5 QB/Coach combo in the league, true.

The first statement can be true at the same time as the next three. It’s unfortunate the way we lost, and it was outright embarrassing for the organization and the city & fans that invest their lives into this team for 5-6 months of the year, and others that do year round. But the amount of criticism I’ve seen surrounding Allen/McBeane since this loss is borderline unfathomable. Confidence and faith should still be very high that these guys bring us atleast 1 Lombardi, if not more.

I was having the same meltdown the day after the game, and maybe even a couple after that. But come on, it’s 2 weeks later. Level yourselves. The Bills are still in a very elite class of the NFL and have turned into a model organization. It’ll come.

And on that note, I guess I’ll have to keep TBD out of my search bar a little longer if this is still the direction conversations are trending 😭

Kyle Pitts - where did he disappear to?!

Bengals - just an average team?

AFC West - were the Chiefs dominance really ever in doubt? Broncos and Raiders seem to be non factors

These 3 were all gimme’s and should’ve been expected imo

Look at Pitts stats from last year, it was only 2-3 big games that boosted those stats.

The Bengals were always only an average team that got hot at the right time last year. A 10-7 team that won 4 one-score games (and all 3 playoff games by one score). Anyone that convinced themselves they were a top team got played by the combination of parity and luck in the NFL.

The last one was my biggest pet peeve of the offseason, a couple of big name additions and all of a sudden Mahomes & Reid are dropping to second or third in the division? Please, save me the wasted conversation. This one was just a ridiculous take that the media fed into in the offseason.

I've been told that's the one thing you're not supposed to do if you suspect a concussion

I forget the exact reasoning, but doctors have backed away from telling you not to sleep. Something about puking in your sleep maybe? My most recent concussion I was actually advised to sleep.

I’ve had more than a few concussions from football and other things. My worst one I was probably 8 or 9 and it was quite an awful experience. Just a nauseating migraine and constant puking. Due to the combination of the severity of the concussion and age at the time, I don’t really remember it too clearly. I do remember the pain was severe, I was puking a whole lot, spent the entire night at the hospital getting cat scans and what not.

Then I had like 2-3 minor concussions where the symptoms were seemingly gone, or just ‘rub some dirt on it’ type symptoms and I was pissed that I was getting held out of football for what to me seemed like nothing more than minor headaches.

And then the last one had seemed minor at the time, I got dizzy during a hit during football and stayed down on the field for an extra second and they were starting to get more proactive so I get held out of football. At the time I was pissed and wanted to be playing, but looking back at it I started struggling with school pretty bad. I was always a very smart kid but that concussion in the same time period I went from naturally grasping concepts at the time I learned it, to having to study and review things many times over sometimes to actually understand. It was 10th grade of high school so maybe it had a correlation to the subject matter itself just getting harder. But Chemistry class specifically, the day of my concussion and moving forward no matter how hard I tried I just could not understand or study enough to learn it. It was a bad feeling going from a very smart and natural kid to someone who couldn’t learn something even with the extra effort.

  9. I don’t miss losing, but I will say the games aren’t as stressful and therefore don’t carry the same excitement with success as they used to. When the Bills are tied, or even down, there’s no anxiety just a calmness in me that fully expects the tides to turn.

Expecting and knowing we’re going to win isn’t quite as much of a ride as thinking and hoping we win.

Just a couple of changes. Kingsbury and Kyler are never going to quite put it together, and Baltimore is good but I’m on the train that believes Lamar, while very talented, won’t achieve sustained success with that play style.

    Previous rank: No. 1

On Thursday night at SoFi Stadium, long after most Rams fans had headed for the exits, thousands of visiting Bills supporters hung around to soak in the feeling of an extremely satisfying victory. Sean McDermott's team had drubbed the defending champions, 31-10, putting the demons of January's excruciating Divisional Round loss in the rearview. Josh Allen played like an MVP favorite, and the Bills' front seven dominated the trenches, making life miserable for Matthew Stafford. On paper entering this season, it looked like Buffalo had the most complete team in football. One game in, the on-field product supports that notion.

It’s easy to get hyperbolic about the Bills. They’re not the 1985 Bears defense, but this is probably the best defense we’ve seen in the NFL since the height of the Seattle Seahawks Legion of Boom. Von Miller adds a layer to the Bills’ defense that they didn’t need but went out and got anyway. And he made his presence felt immediately with two sacks against his former team.

Josh Allen started off a bit slow, but the second half was reminiscent of his performance against Kansas City in the Divisional Round a season ago. He’s still evolving as a passer, which is the scariest part of his game. If the Bills can find a consistent rushing option that isn’t Allen (because of the injury concern), this team could be as close to unbeatable as we’ve seen in recent years.

Rookie who stood out: RB James Cook

Unfortunately, the second-round pick stood out for the wrong reason -- fumbling on his first career NFL snap during the Bills' turnover-filled start against the Rams. The Bills recovered from their three turnovers in the first half to finish with a convincing win, but Cook played only two more snaps. With the talent that Buffalo has on his offense, his playing time will likely slowly increase over the course of the season. "I'm glad [Cook] got [the fumble] out the way," Von Miller said. "He showed us all types of crazy stuff in practice, man, he's gonna have an excellent year this year." -- Alaina Getzenberg

Dating back to the playoffs last year, the Bills have logged a majority percentage of the most phenomenal offensive performances we’ve seen by a football team over the last calendar year. Josh Allen is a missile headed for the MVP award.

  14. Over the past few years, Tuesday after game day has become so fulfilling. Seeing the Bills continuously nab a top 10 spot and finally getting the national recognition we were devoid of for 2 decades.

I figured this week there’d be a plethora of number 1 rankings, probably more so than ever before, so figured I’d put together a thread of it! Enjoy 🍻

“I don’t care about the power rankings, footballs played on the field not paper.”

Alright grumpy, relax a little, this seasons clearly going to be quite a ride. Enjoy the hype as the consensus number one team in the league while you can, this team isn’t going to last forever.

  15. I’m sure the guys that don’t like Edmunds will find reasons to hate his game last night, but outside of the Kupp 4th & 2 play (which you could argue he forced Kupp back inside to Milano, in spite of a block in the back and getting taken out by his own teammate) he played very solid.

I found myself sarcastically saying ‘I was told Edmunds doesn’t do anything,’ or ‘Oh is that an Edmunds appearance?’ many times.

I would say a very solid game for him.
