  1. I have not broken anything, but my 4 grown children love to tell people that they learned all their best curse words watching Bills games with me as children. To this day, when I try to call hem on foul language, they revert to this story, and don't leave me with a leg to stand on. I have tried very hard to be a better example for the granddaughter.

  2. Onbe of the problems that used to exist with college kickers is that their stats were inflated because the holder was able to place the ball on a small tee, and because of the different hash marks, which reduced their degree of difficulty. Both of those differentials, I believe, have been eliminated, so projecting success from a college kicker should be easier now. The big unknown, more than any position except QB, is mental toughness. So I'm glad to hear that we at least had an opportunity to explore that a bit with our team shrink. We know he was at least 1 for 1 in GW situations, is anyone aware of any other such opportunities in his college career?

  3. Watching this game today gave me such a sense of déjà vu. Marietta is Tyrod 2.0. I liked Tyrod, really appreciated that he was a gamer. They're both mobile, capable of avoiding sacks and running. They are both careful, maybe painfully so, to avoid turnovers. Neither had a strong arm, and neither seems capable of 4th quarter comebacks. They are .500 qbs., which can be fools gold . Buffalo finally realized that to make a leap forward they had to cut ties. Wonder if Tenesee will reach theat conclusion as Mariotta's contract comes up next spring.

  4. Good question. I think every position is either a solid upgrade (every position group on offensive, DL, CB) or a wash (outside LB, safety, kicking )

However, this answer will always be driven by injuries . Last year, we were fairly fortunate with health. But an injury to Tremaine makes us worse at MLB. An injury to Tre'Davious makes us worse at CB. Added depth at O'Line and WR makes it almost a lock we have to be better there regardless.

  5. IIRC, he deserves credit for holding his spot on punt return team in 2017, snuffing out a fake punt, the key play in a victory when we needed every win to make the playoffs. So, whether he makes the roster or not, Bills fans should have a small place in their heart for this one key play...see Preston Ridelhuber, David White, etc....

  6. it always drove me crazy how ESPN railed and railed against the replacement refs. They were clearly in bed with the Refs union, and took great pains to show every missed call by the replacements, and advocate for full-time refs. The full time refs have been no better than the replacements since the day they came back, and maybe even worse due to the arrogance of some of the more senior/famous ones. ESPN has obviously covered the blown calls (to death), but I have never seen or heard one of their talking heads discuss the general mediocrity of these full-timers. Just another example of how ESPN decides to advocate for an issue, as opposed to an impartial representation.

  7. I know we all make fun of posters claiming inside  sources, but I have an excellent one with TB...my hometown handle may help some of you make the connection. So book it, TB absolutely, 100% picks up Winston's option. If I'm wrong, I promise not to post for 1 year. (PS...not saying I would pick up his option...just telling you what I've learned.)
