Ravens just this last year. No one had over 900 yards receiving and only Flowers had over 600. They won 13 games. It was Lamar that strikes the fear. https://www.espn.com/nfl/team/stats/_/name/bal/baltimore-ravens
He stated no one over 1k yards and the offense producing over 5k through the air. The Ravens did not produce more than 5k through the air. Their offense was a success as more a byproduct of Lamar running along with a run-first philosophy. Lamar barely hit 4k yards passing.

A better term would be #1 target. As we know, Brady had Gronk and Pat had Kelce. They aren't WR, but they give the same benefit as a #1 WR.
A true #1 target is someone another team has to scheme for. This person is open even when they are not open. Contested catches, reliable week in and week out. Routinely beats their coverage. They are going to get you 1200+ yards and ~10 TDs a year.

What if a team rotates 5 wideouts, none of whom surpass 1,000 yards. But when you add in the TEs and backs, the offense still gains 5,000 yards through the air. Do the fans then think: "Well, we would have had 6,000 yards if we had a true #1!"
Is there even any examples of this actually being done?

Reminder: the most successful team in NFL history only prioritized the WR position ONCE, and didn't win a SB when they did that.
That team also won with defense early on before rules changed. Then became a offensive powerhouse with Moss, then with Gronk, welker, etc...

Anyone know what we got for the GB pick?

Beane not even trying to move around. He must not like what's left. Put it on auto-draft and closed shop

Diggs was a “star” how was he in key games? I’ll take good players who step up.
Ok, so who are our good players that have stepped up in the playoffs? We have yet to have anyone take over a game except for Josh.

Neither were producing as needed. What falloff do you see with the current group plus a possible 4th-5th steal pick?
What I don't see at this time is a star offensive player other than Josh. Mahomes didn't have a star WR, but he had a star TE that he could always rely on.

Chiefs won with defense last postseason and opportunistic mostly mistake free offense. There's more than one way to skin a cat.
Sooooo a consistent offense?

Considering it’s the defense that continually fails in the post-season it’s probably a good idea.

If the offense was more consistent you may not need to rely on the d to make a stop to win the game.

So why are you upset we just drafted one of the best red zone targets in the draft? No disrespect, but I don't get what you are unhappy with then.
Beane created a major hole at WR by trading Diggs on top of already losing Davis. Then, at least so far, has given a half-assed approach to fill that gaping hole. An unproven vet and a rookie with questionable speed. It would of been nice to see Beane be a little more aggressive trying to find a legit Diggs replacement.

No, that alone says he is a dual threat weapon that has always been part of his game.
I don't disagree. But come on, doing it yourself that many times shows you don't have the red zone targets you need.

You do realize that we are the 2nd highest scoring team in the NFL over the past 4 seasons, our QB is a perennial MVP candidate and averages 5100 yards and 44 TD's over that span right?
People act like Allen has had no help at all. Beane traded up for Kincaid last year, we have a young WR in Shakir who just led the NFL in efficiency, catch rate, and yards per target who plays like a mini Deebo, we have a duel threat RB, and signed a quality veteran in Samuel. Now we just added top prospect in the draft at WR too. Plus we still have Knox and him combined with Kincaid gives us one of the best TE rooms in the NFL.
This notion Allen has no weapons is just a gross exaggeration.
Im telling you now...Allen very well could have his best season of his career this season. Shakir and Coleman bring some much needed toughness to the offense. Where was Diggs when the season got late and games got more physical? Allens INT rate was double throwing to Diggs and Davis than it was throwing to everyone else.
Allen is going to spread the ball around and now has a guy who can go up and get balls too, which we sorely needed. We went from drop city to a team made up of guys with great hands and intelligence.
How many TDs did Allen run last year versus throw? That alone shows he didn't have the help he needed last year.

How many teams took 2 WRs so far? Cuz ya know double dipping should help teams that have bad WRs like Baltimore and Arizona and Carolina....
How many teams lost their top 2 WR this off-season?

Would love to see them package some of those 5ths, the 6th and 7th into a couple 2's. To give them four 2nd rounders, 3rd, and 4th

Beane got a stock pile now toove back up in this draft

Beane really does want Franklin

SF must of wanted Worthy. Only reason for KC to trade up.

Dallas letting Det jump us to get who we want in spite of us jumping them for kincaid last year.
Jerry got that petty in him

McDaniel prob got a chubby writing worthy on that card.
Don't see him resisting picking him

If that's the going price, that explains why Beane didn't make the big move

Minny paid a STEEP price to move up 6 picks

I can't imagine that Daniels's mom will affect his draft status. I feel like teams look at Lamar Jackson and think, yeah, it's slightly annoying, but nothing we can't handle.
It doesn't say the extent of her relationships with Pierce, or the other players. Does say she was extremely close. Maybe she's pulling a reverse Zach Wilson? I'd think that would definitely be behavior that could cause distractions.

I think Kincaid has the potential, just isn't quite there yet. We'll see if his growth continues into year 2.
