  1. Jarvis Landry is going to have like 160 catches this year, seriously.

It will amount to about 6.5 ypc and holy god the combination of him and Tyrod is going to make for some of the most boring dink and dunk BS football that the world has ever seen. Glad we moved on.

I'm fine with firing people for performance. This wasn't performance related. You're hijacking this to fit the narrative you want.

He was no longer doing anything positive for either organization - check

He clearly violated something and pissed off the powers that be - check

    Get him out of here.

But Ol Dirty Boring smells something to argue with so the resident miserable POS is going to feign disagreement for the simple matter of...disagreeing.

You're boring as !@#$ dude. Follow Russ and get the !@#$ out of here.

Do you celebrate when bad gas station attendants get fired too? Crack open a bottle of Dom when a lawyer gets fired for poor performance after a divorce?

Terry and Kim thought Rex was a wise investment. When did they become infallible again?

Gas attendants don't get paid six figures (seven?) for not doing their job well for continuous years while simultaneously grabbing women. Things change, as frankly anybody with a job should know.

Just give up. Your attempts at justifying this are pathetic. He was paid well for 20! years for helping produce a mediocre product.  He'll be fine.

If nothing else, this is good for breaking down the typical Buffalo fan's resistance to change - deal with it. This organization has sucked for years, I wholeheartedly support this. Napalm everything and let the Pegulas build it all back up in their image. It's as if they're finally gaining some confidence - good, because they're not going anywhere.

I'll agree on the Dolphins part, but the Bills didn't have a choice between Darnold and Allen. Perhaps they would have chosen Darnold in that situation?  Regardless, zero the Bills could do about the Jets and Darnold. Wasn't part of this equation.

or just go BPA and get your QB later instead of stretching to get one of the top-4, which was largely over-hyped by the media. I'm in the Bucky Brooks camp when it comes to that.

ultimately I'm ok with the pick considering we still got Edmunds, I'm just very skeptical. Allen was #5 on my list.

Why does it not suprise me that you are in the punchbowl pisser group come this morning......surprise surprise

Congrats....you have a new punching bag

    This is just my opinion

I am seeing people pointing to what happened with EJ Manuel

This really is not that situation...EJ Manuel was NEVER thought of as a guy that could go number 1 overall in the draft.....and that draft was considered a poor QB draft to begin with

This is not the case.....it is a STRONG QB draft and Allen is a part of it......there are some areas of concern most definately but there is also things to be excited about with this kid....he could easily when it is all said and done be the "last man standing" out of these QBs because he is no where close to his ceiling.

Its a wait and see for me....but at least Bean did not over reach to get him.....he was smart with is assets....and allowed us to also pick up Edmunds.

I personally think Bean is a schrewed dude

Taking him at 7 and keeping enough to still get Edmunds was fantastic, I'm on board with that.  I may have crossed into TV through window territory had we bet everything to move up to #5 for Allen .

Do you seriously believe this ??

No, I don't really believe it, thus my skepticism that I've highlighted in like every comment I've made.  I don't really know what to believe other than the fact that he's a project that we seemingly coveted more than other teams.  We do have both an inexperienced coach and terribly raw QB right now though, it's worth being skeptical.

I am not saying you are wrong because nobody knows....but the expereinced front office you are referring to (jets?) has taken swings and missed at like drafting what...3 QBs in the last 4 years or something like that?

And their team has been flat out aweful.   While ours made the playoffs last year.

It's more about us than them, and them refers to the entire league more so than the Jets. I'm simply fearful that McBeane got over-excited in what has been a relatively brief tenure and took the project that other NFL execs wouldn't have touched until the end of the first round.  We'll see, but this pick will be their legacy for better or worse.

Who exactly are the cool kids

"Experienced front offices" is what I should have said.  Not that it's an apt description whatsoever, I just can't shake the feeling that we got completely taken by a rookie project while the Jets got a bonafide franchise QB.  Would have been much worse had the Dolphins taken Rosen.

Really? I feel like I saw the opposite. I thought they saw him as someone with a high ceiling, but it was a big risk believing he'd reach it. He had had all the physical skills athletically, but accuracy, and mentally was going to be a jump for him. I thought Kiper was getting killed by everyone, including Mcshay (probably manufactured though) because no one honestly believed he go one.

I believe you read this I just missed it and thought a lot of skepticism surrounded Allen the whole time. Here's to hoping we're all wrong who didnt believe.

What I thought too, but the top QBs have seemingly been a mish-mash of whatever order for months now, and I know sites like Barstool Sports and Sporting News were touting him as the top pick right up until last night.  There's been a lot of Josh Allen potential first pick commentary right alongside a good dose of criticism and "hold the !@#$ on this guy is a project" commentary, right up until his tweets really.  Reports have been all over the place, which reminds me very much of EJ, really, and in general doesn't leave me feeling good.

I have no idea why we passed on the seemingly much more sure thing in Rosen.

I'm confused. Who are all these people who love Allen?

Like 6/10 pundits and journalists who've commented in the last two weeks.  Totally scientific estimate I know, but everybody seemingly loved Josh Allen until the texts came out last night it seemed..

I'm not a fan, but he was tossed around as a potential #1 pick by just about every talking head who can mumble, so it wasn't a complete stretch to pick him.  I simply just don't like it.

  10. Completely in the middle, don't know how you can't be. His potential is through the roof and he's a blue chip prospect. What we wanted right?  I would have taken Rosen 100/100 times but I'm completely open to coming around on Allen. He's our QB, now.

A lot of people who know a hell of a lot more than I do love him, so I'm into it.  I absolutely love and support the plan of QB/LB, I just need to come around on this being the QB. We did get the best LB in the entire draft in my opinion, so it really is a matter of coming around on the QB.

Very Billsy way of handling a chest of riches in general - I'm equally skeptical and excited. The Edmunds pick was fantastic, and they got a giant, young QB who can throw really far I guess.  This draft was more of a quizzical eyebrow raise than an attempt to throw my TV through the window. so I'm on board.

So...we could have had Rosen and Edmunds...

yeah, that's pretty much it. I liked Rosen more too but it's ultimately a gamble no matter how you look at it.  Substitute Allen and it could still be franchise changing a couple of years from now. I'm very happy they went QB/LB either way.
