  1. Rousseau is not a 10+ sack guy. He may be once in his career, but he is still so raw as a DE. This will be his 6th season as a DE, at Miami he came in as a WR/S athlete. He's an elite run defender who will get better in a year or two once he's reached his potential. If we didn't rotate at DL so much he'd look a lot better stat wise. Rousseau is a guy that stays in Buffalo his whole career and puts up a Schobel type career. Ends up being your top DL long run.

In my opinion, Coleman would be a pretty bad pick.  What would he help besides maybe a jump ball or 2?  Definitely not explosive (at least speed and quickness).  Not a deep threat nor a good technical route runner.

What do you see in Polk that you like?  I get that he is the try-hard guy and is good at contested catches, but I don’t see speed or quickness evident in his play.  He can make a team and maybe be a starting receiver, but I don’t see more than an average NFL player.

Yeah, I want no part of Coleman, hence the puke emoji.

Polk was someone I thought shined in big games. He was a big play waiting to happen, he was a good route runner, good speed. 9 TDs this year. I'd prefer Mitchell or Rice size wise but Polk is a guy that watching him play made him stick out on film

be careful with that.  Buffalo had very little, if any, contact with Kinkaid before the draft last year

Oh I'm well aware! I'm just saying there hasn't been even combine I don't think nor were we at the proday. Kinkaid had at least met at the Combine I believe

I agree that they seem to really like him.  I would avoid AD Mitchell - too many reports of character/effort issues for my taste.  I don’t like Keon Coleman at any spot in round 2.  I do like Ladd McConkey, but I acknowledge that he has some size/durability risk and probably isn’t a deep threat in spite of his 4.39 40.  Polk and Baker are interesting, but not until late round 2 or later.

Of course, these are just my fan opinions.

I would love Polk, but honestly I don't think we love him. Buffalo has very minimal if any contact with him so far. I think it's Coleman at 33🤮 or Dejean which I'd be okay with...same with Kool-Aid and take best WR at 60

If Odunze is the target and gets to Bears pick at 9, they could just take him.

However, they only have 2 picks in the draft after 9.

    My offer:  28, 60, 128, 160, 163, 2025 1st

if they counter, we’ll keep one of this year’s picks and add one next year

Who are you? Mike Ditka? I think you can jump to 9 for less, but it's probably 28, 1st in 25, plus 60

I don't see signing a third vet WR. It's on to the Draft now there.

Only way I see a third vet is if the Draft board falls terribly and they don't see value where we're picking in Round 1 or Round 2. Which with the depth of the class is pretty unlikely.

And even then, it would be after the Draft, when I imagine Mike Williams will be no longer available.

I don't need Mike Williams, but unless you're getting one of the three big guys at WR I wouldn't hold out hope that a rookie is coming in and making defenses roll coverage off Diggs. Thomas has the ability to give us size underneath which we desperately lack. Aside from the three big names I don't really see a "game changer" maybe a good #2 but no real #1 surefire stud down the road.

Right. It had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he already won seven National Titles and is 72 years old.

Did he need the money? No, because he owns a 17.5 million dollar house, two Mercedes Benz dealerships, a Ferrari dealership, and a hotel. That doesn't matter either.

His wife has been patient for decades with Nick being away from home while constantly recruiting and working 16 hour days. Now he is a grandfather and would finally like to spend more time with his family. That makes no difference, right?

The jealousy folks have and exhibit towards Coach Saban and The University of Alabama Crimson Tide never ceases to amaze me. Imagine how great it would it be for you if your favorite team and their coach was even fractionally as tremendous as Saban and the Tide!

And his white knights never fail to show up. Not like he's still the most vocal about how NIL and transfer portal is the worst thing in the world after he "retired". If it wasn't the reason he retired he would have never said anything. Also I don't need Nick Saban to enjoy the success of my favourite program. He hated that he couldn't be the guy anymore and left crying about how it changed and it's not fair.

It's pretty much why Nick Saban quit coaching. IMHO, NIL money is not good for college sports, not good at all.

Nick Saban quit because he couldn't control the NCAA like he used to. Mark Emmert stepping down and "legal bags" as they were called at the start of NIL meant he no longer could cry foul when other schools with big time financial boosters could provide kids the opportunity to make money at home and not the illegal cars and cash bags from Bama. The SEC is notoriously dirty for it and once it became legal for a kid to make money of their name it evened the playing field to an extent. It allowed Miami to keep a ton of Florida kids at home where they would have all left for money at Bama, OSU, etc.

You have obviously not had any experience with a big time collegiate sports program like football or basketball.  I worked as a tutor for a large Midwestern university's football players for a single semester in the 1970s.  This school was always in contention for the National Championship.  Even though I was a starving grad assistant and the money was very good, I couldn't continue participating in a system which I saw as extremely exploitive.   Most of these young men never sniffed the NFL, never got their college degrees, and certainly never made "connections in business/life through boosters".   When they used up their eligibility and/or were seriously injured, they were literally kicked to the curb.

The NCCA programs are much better now, but accepting a college athletic scholarship to a major Div 1 program is not nearly the ticket to a better life that many people believe except for those few collegiate athlete who become stars.

I get it, players come and go, I am a Sooners and Bills fan. If Diggs is here great, Ill root for him. If not, I root for whoever replaces him. At least at college, you had some semblance of 3-year stability.

NIL needs some universal rules, but I believe the courts just ruled against any significant rules, which just made it Pay for play or Free agency at the College level

They have rules in the sense that the school doesn't pay the kid directly, it's all from outside sources. For instance the American Top Team MMA gym has an NIL deal in place with UM athletics, they just have to do promotion on social media. The injunction just allows schools to recruit kids with potential NIL deals upfront instead of once they are signed

  9. Just to throw this out in regards to how raw of a DE he is...this will be his 6th season at DE. He was a LB/S in highschool and WR. At Miami he moved to DE. He's still learning how to play the position as a pass rusher. He is a player you extend as his second contract will be where his talent and ability will be fully honed in and will be a game changer. 8-10 sacks a year will be a bench for him, plus the ability to set your edge. He's your ideal DE, edge setter and can rush the passer effectively.

As a Miami Hurricane season ticket holder, I would love to see Kam Kitchens in a Bills uniform. He has great instincts. I am going to say a name that he reminds me of when he was in college. I am not saying he will be as good as the person I am about to name, but I do remember saying back when that other player played for the Hurricanes how he had a knack for the football.

Hint: The former player also was a former coach for the Bills.

    Name:

    Ed Reed

According to the Miami Herald, 247sports ranked Addae as the number 2 recruiter.

    Herald Article on Addae

I wouldn't say Ed Reed, I love Kam, but Ed was Ed, the guy. Kam is good, I'd probably put him closer to Jairus Byrd, will be feast or famine but will always be around the ball.

Addae was not, his best pull was Damari Brown last year, this the best DB was a Mario kid not Addae (I believe) in Zaquan Patterson.

    I'd say decrease.

Williams was a massive underachiever.   Some of the stuff you get away with in college just won't fly in the pro's.   The least surprising thing I saw in the Senior Bowl was Williams face masking a RB to the ground.   Dumb as a box of rocks.

Add in he's transitioning to LB too

Where are you getting your info?  Serious question, not saying you’re wrong…just curious.

This adds some context to what Monty wrote.  If he sucks as a recruiter because he doesn’t kiss players’ asses I think I’m good with that.

Being a Hurricanes fan, the last two seasons we have been saying fire Addae, it's just something that he was hyped up as a future DC/HC and at Miami he was just not that guy and he rubbed coaches wrong as well as players.

Go look up any canes message board and you'll see rejoice and laughter that Buffalo hired him.

Yeah he's known as being a hard a$$ in an age when players get coddled............which of course, doesn't help you much as a recruiter.

Maybe not having the recruiting responsibility will make him easier to work with.

Sad to see John Butler go but figured that would happen once he got passed over for Bobby Babich jr.

I just don't want him associated with either team I like...why couldn't he go to the Dolphins. I saw this on FB first and was like oh no 🤮 then I was like...well...the U got better.

The passing efficiency #s at Miami make me sick.

I take todays college athletes getting their panties in a wad with a grain of salt.

Universally as in not just the players. Staff and board were not on board with him at Miami and the way he went about business

Which makes me wonder…..did he help create 2 NFL DB’s, or did he look good because he had 2 studs to rely on.   🤷‍♂️

I kid, mostly, because it takes some of both, but that is encouraging news.

So it's a bit misleading. Tyrique Stevenson was going to be drafted regardless and left Georgia to come home to Miami, DJ Ivey was a draft pick based on measurables. Any one who watched Miami can tell you that he was not good. The two safeties this year getting drafted are Kam Kitchens and James Williams who just played linebacker at the senior bowl. Kam will get drafted because he is a gambler at times and has a knack for making big plays in big situations.

Overall, he was known to be a good DB Coach at the college level. I didn’t follow him at Miami so I don’t know about his stint there, but prior to that he was known as a good DB Coach and recruiter. When he was at Georgia he was good however, with Kirby as the HC DB’s will be good more times than not. I do know Kirby didn’t try too hard to keep him when he left Georgia and went to Miami. Time will tell how he does at the NFL level.

Was horrendous at Miami, and the recruiting was subpar. Right now I think this might be the worst hire by McDermott

I’m not a Tez guy myself but he does have good speed. It was one game, but Polk struggled in the elements against Oregon State which has dropped him in my own personal rankings.

Glad you mentioned Brenden Rice. I think would be perfect in Buffalo. A bigger, physical receiver with enough long speed and he is smart and knows how to make plays for his QB when the play goes off script. One of my targets for the bills.

I'm just not as big on Tez like a lot of people are, nothing he does wows me. Polk for me is just his all encompassing skill set.

Rice is a late rise for me, he showed out at senior bowl week and it was something that I have to watch again
