So I am one who wants to see McDermott gone but what options are out there now? Ben Johnson and Vrabel are already gone. Promote Joe Brady? I hope the poor play calling was from McDermott playing conservative but you never know.
I know it sounds crazy but I'd call Belichick and tell him he has to keep Brady. I still doubt he does it but the Bills need a new Defensive Mind Set
All of this won't happen because the Pegulas are afraid if they fire McDermott the Bills will end up like the SabresBelichek buy out isn't worth it. Something like 10 million, wants to be at NC and nothing is changing that. I'd like to see someone come in from a Shanhan or McVay tree but at this point something needs to change

No I'll lay off him this offseason because he got us further than expected. We have a middling roster and probably didn't even deserve to be here today. All things considered the game winning plays were there to be made and the players failed to execute them.
That's fair, we over performed and good on them for it, but it's just disheartening we seem to always fall short here. I don't know what you need to change to move forward but it's just something has to change

Look I get it, McDermott has been a great coach and person for the community. But at what point are his short comings in big time games more his flaw vs just bad luck? Tony Dungy couldn't get it done in Tampa, left got Gruden and won, and even then Dungy was all world regular season but couldn't win the big game in Indy outside of one-year.
For a coach who's scheme and learning was under Jim Johnson in Philly and the vaunted Double A gap formation, he's had some really sub par defensive performances. We all know KC runs spinner roll out right in big moments and we don't have a defensive play call to stop it. Where as KC knows Allen rolls out right in big moments or tries to sneak left...KC had their defense ready for both. I get it, this is frustration of falling short again, but at some point we need to buck the trend of falling short in KC again and again and again

Same old McDermott Bills. Won't ever win with him at the helm.

Elam, Shavers, Hyde (kidding), Davis maybe to have a game for himself

Philly will have nothing to play for. That would be dumb to play him with a big work load or at all
I'm aware, but I said he'd probably only get a half or a quarter at most to get 101 yards. It's just a thought process that I was speaking about

that's not much of a draw...
Sure, but hey, if Minnesota loses or Detroit loses then the draw isn't there either...KC is resting the starters...maybe Cincy? Doubtful. I'd rather watch the attempt at a record but even then he may only get a half or quarter with their clinch today...odds are nothing gets flexed but the Lions are the safe bet

Play a series or two to go through the motions, then on the sideline with a jacket and cap

It might be Philly purely to see if he sets the single season rushing record.

edge rusher which is a 4-3 DE or a 3-4 OLB that will rush the passer or back off and cover TE/RB like Von Miller.
4-3 DE and 3-4 OLB tend to have very similar body frames.
in 3-4 the DT tends to be much bigger and the ILB smaller , in a 4-3 the DT are smaller than the NT while the MLB is a bigger sizeA similar position but no name yet that is a cross between DB and LB where they can come up for run support, blitz, is a good tackler, and can play DB. This is usually a SS/3CB type of player like Taron
This, most nickel defenses are pretty much a 3-3-5 look. It just gives you an under or over look with 4 down lineman in some way. The Edge is your pass rusher/drop zone player. It eliminates the designation of DE as well, making lineman and qbs have to identify the edge on pass rush situations

They flexed the time slot only on Sunday because it was the best game for the CBS doubleheader. But they are not flexing any game to SNF featuring the Jets or Patriots. And flexing to TNF requires 4-weeks notice. So the Bills are safe, other than time-slot flexes between early and late games and network switches between FOX and CBS.
The only way is if Buffalo and KC are tied going into week 18, and you'll either have one at 425 and 830 or both at 425

Right now, on WC weekend it would be Broncos at Bills, Chargers at Steelers and Ravens at Texans. If these are the matchups I would guess Bills, Steelers, Ravens win. That would set up Ravens at Chiefs and Steelers at Bills for the divisional round. I don't think KC beats the Ravens even in Arrowhead.
We lose this week and Pittsburgh wins we're in 3rd, I'm saying with a look at what happens, I'm projecting us falling to third. Also I agree that Houston doesn't get out of the first round, but I think Denver can knock that offense in Pittsburgh out. I think divisional you're looking at 1,3,5, and 7 so us against Baltimore in Buffalo

If KC comes to buffalo in the AFC championship, I think we would blow them out. If it's in KC it's going to be extremely tough but I think Allen will pull it out. But it will be a battle in KC
Agreed, but need them to lose and us to win out, we lose this week it's all moot. So realistically get healthy if you're out of contention of #1 seed and let the chips fall

Look at it this way... we face the field in Orchard Park and hopefully eventually the Chiefs at Arrowhead, and we have always performed MASSIVELY there with Josh on offense. I think we will do better with the #2 seed if we get it.
I'm not saying we won't... I'm saying unless it's #1 seed I don't think it's something playing for with the group. Get healthy, play San Diego, host Baltimore or Houston, head to KC or host winner. This week dictates everything

Why doesn't the #2 seed factor in? That's pretty important too.
The two seed would secure having the first two playoff games at home (with winning of course). Much better to get someone like Pitt or Houston at home.
So to me, if the #1 or #2 are affected, Josh will be in there. And he will be getting enough TDs to keep his streak going.
Imo it's first seed or bust. Get home field all the way through otherwise your going to KC at some point. Whether it be 2 or 3 seed you're getting one home game, and a vulnerable steelers and or ravens isn't going to be in a good spot vs San Diego or Denver. Buffalo has a good match up as any right now offensively

There's a competitive side to being an athlete that to be the best you have to beat the best. Wanting KC at full health makes sense, it's like if you're a Leafs fan, you gotta beat Boston in the playoffs to really break that curse, huh no wonder I hate Boston sports teams.
On the flip side, injuries happen and if it happened we'd revert back to well we didn't have x last time so? Either way people won't be happy with either answer or outcome. Just win each week 1-0

I swear I read that a couple of other late afternoon games - Pats at Cardinals/Colts and Broncos? - are on CBS so how can it be a national game akin to the Chiefs one? Have they given their other games to Fox?
Outside of the regional games, so New England/Zona and Indy/Denver every one else gets the Bills game. Including Canada. The only Canadians who may not are in the Detriot surrounding area like Windsor.

Mahommes has made a career of highlight plays scrambling in the pocket and getting someone open, you have 2 defenders coming from the front side of him, and Von is back side looks like he's set on containing him. No issue there, and honestly that probably results in a highlight play if Von goes for the kill somehow. Von and Rousseau set the edge and contain great most of the game. Not bothered there

Miller behind AJE
Think about the point in their careers, AJE plays the run better than Miller at this point. Miller will be used in obvious pass situations or down and distance. If teams want to run at Von if it's 2nd and billion go ahead. AJE is a starter based on the run fits

If they expose Leonard Taylor he will get claimed. 5 star who dogged it in college thinking he'd just get picked in round 1 on talent alone. Went undrafted. His game fits the pro's. Passed up $600K NIL deal to enter the draft.
He didn't try to put it together at Miami. He was just playing not to get injured last season. Mailed it in. Gotta' keep a carrot in front of him.
This, as a UM fan he was frustrating. Really good when he was on and playing but when he was not interested it was bad
