I mean, Oher received a home with a roof over his head. Not inside a slum with a crackhead
mother and no father. He was guided into having an NFL career and made millions from it.
im not saying he doesn’t have a gripe. Just seems kind of petty to complain about it now. The guy had a successful career in the NFL and made millions thanks to that family. Without them it doesn’t happen. He probably blew all his money and has no other options at this point.

I mean maybe there is some wrong on their side that occurred after the fact once big time money got involved with the movie tho...
Did either of you read it? Basically, when he signed the "conservatorship" papers he thought he was signing "adoption" papers. Also, he only found out about this in Feb 2023, so he didn't wait till now, he learned about it a few months ago.

I have nothing against the player or the general idea, but Beane keeps investing in the D-Line and it continues to make no difference when it matters, in the playoffs. I'd have rather spent this money on DHop and tried to out score our opponents.
Continually spending money/resources on the D-Line is great if it's making a difference (see SF), but when it consistently doesn't work you need to shift your mentality.

i think Rachel Bonnetta is great. hope she ends up with a big platform somewhere.

is he going to play RG or LG because Bates absolutely should be moved back to LG.

i don't necessarily think QB compensation alone should be carved out of the salary cap, but i've said this for many years that the salary cap should dual tiered. for example:
2023 salary cap tier 1: $224.8 million
2023 salary cap tier 2: $232.4 million (+$7.6m)
how do i think this should work? tier 1 functions exactly like it does now. the tier 2 bonus money can only be allocated to players you drafted. so, we'd have up to $7.6 million in 2023 to allot toward deals for Edmunds, or to pay part of Josh's contract for 2023, however the Bills would choose to divvy it up. i'm not sure how the NFL would calculate the tier 2 bonus money, i'm sure they would devise some complicated formula, but either way it would reward good drafting, helping teams keep their own, and could be used for any position.

It depends on if you have Spectrum service (TV & Internet). If you have a Spectrum TV package and are streaming at the same home as your Spectrum Internet service then yes. My Spectrum app at home plays the games (the app is basically a cable box you're not renting, it will show everything in your TV package), and at work I'll often watch sports shows from "watch.spectrum.net" (I log into my Spectrum account first) but when I log in I get the message, "Due to programming restrictions, some channels are unavailable. For full access, connect to your Spectrum Internet service." When I go to the Guide at work I can still watch a lot of channels, including 2/4/6/7, but many channels aren't available away from home.

the CBS app never showed live local as far as i know, you needed Paramount Plus. when streaming on Paramount Plus it doesn't use your account zip code it uses your current location based on IP/geolocation. this happened to me recently in NJ, but was able to get the Bills game on Paramount Plus after using a GPS spoofer on an android device.

Ariel Helwani covers the MMA. I guess it's real slow for him right now talking to a back up level NFL guard.
Helwani is a massive Bills fan.

Bates himself stated he considered his natural position is LG. Saffold is going to be starting at LB and I think he's likely a better run blocker, but hopefully Bates is as effective at RG as he was at LG.

CAP SPACE IS A MYTH.
See GB who just gave their QB a 200 million dollar contract while being 30 million over the cap.
Eh, Beane doesn't really work that way. Diggs will be in the low 20's after an extension, Metcalf will be in the low 20's, and Allen will soon be in the mid 40's. Even if the cap is around 220m in the coming years that's 40% of your cap in 3 players. Doesn't seem realistic.

No thanks. As great as Metcalf is, we can't afford him. 2022 is the last year on his rookie deal. Mike Williams just got 20m/year, what do you think Metcalf will get? We need to extend Diggs already and Davis is looking great.
"Pro Football Focus this week guessed that Seattle better be prepared to pay an awful lot, projecting Metcalf as worth a four-year deal totaling $84 million, or $21 million a season (he is due to make $3.9 million in 2022 in the last season of his rookie deal)."

Good interview, some real good stuff about Josh and the Chiefs game. They ask him directly why we didn't squib it (18:10) and he say's he doesn't want to get into it but it was because of "communication issues" which I think confirms it was a called Squib and Bass didn't know.

I may be in the minority here, but if we were going to spend money on a pass catcher in FA, I'd rather grab Mike Gesicki than a WR. I think him and Knox on the field at the same time would create a ton of matchup issues, similar to Gronk/Hernandez.

Heard that’s good for like free trials and other things. Been considering it for a bit.
It's actually great for everything, the cards are either single use or lock to the first vendor you use them with, so even if the card number was exposed the transaction would be declined. You can also set limits for each card (per day, month, year, or total) and you can pause and unpause cards at any time.

Its about the fourth time this has happened to me. I have autopay on about 10 different bill's. Now I have to wait until I get a new card and make all the phone calls to change the number.
Sign up for privacy.com, different card for each vendor, then whenever one gets hit you'll know who's got a security issue.
Edit:And the transaction will be declined, but you'll get notified.

i don't need skill position players in the first. josh has plenty of skill talent, he needs a mauling line. singletary and moss are fine if there is actually a hole to run through. however, give me Jordan Davis in the first if he somehow falls. we've neglected the NT position for too long. i want an immovable piece in the middle of the line. i wanted Tyler Shelvin last year, and this year Jordan Davis is an absolute monster, but 1T tend to fall. outside of him i don't care if they draft all oline.

Eagles confirm Alim McNeill was a target before Detroit Lions snagged him
Alim McNeill was very nearly a Philadelphia Eagle, but Philly took a costly risk. -
if we draft Tyler Shelvin i'll be happy. i don't care if we over-draft him, he's a need and a very good player. he'd hopefully also allow Oliver to flourish. play behind Star for a year then he's your future 1T/NT.
-
he would absolutely help our run defense. he will not improve our pass rush as much as you'd think based on his name. we won't pay him what he wants.
-
i've been saying this for years, in general. the majority of the top college talent is from the south and with the way offense has been trending the last several years, the cold/snow/wind/rain are no longer a home field advantage. we are just as negatively affected by the conditions as the visitor. i hope that any new stadium they build is a dome. it needs to be a fully functional year round facility. i think it'd be crazy to build an open air stadium in our climate, and i think our team would benefit from a controlled climate over time.

for anyone wanting to do this i suggest you go here:
https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/google_chrome_portable
download and install a portable version of Chrome, then follow Just Jack's guide to configure the portable version of Chrome. use it for NFL viewing only, that way you don't have to mess with the settings on your default Chrome installation.

didn't they just give Spain a new 3 year deal this offseason? he was solid last year, and Winters doesn't seem like an upgrade at RG over Ford.

I don’t even know who Ryen Rusillo is.Is he someone important like Stephen A. Smith?
Rusillo co-hosted with AVP on ESPN radio for several years in the afternoon, then when SVP moved on to midnight SC, Rusillo did the show on his own for a while, then didn't re-up with ESPN and Will Cain took the spot. Rusillo was one of the few personalities at ESPN who's opinion I always enjoyed because he was always interesting and entertaining, and like Success said, he's always been fair. I still follow his podcast because he's worthwhile listen.
Who doesn't think this team is good enough to go 5-0 down the stretch?

Based on this seasons sample size, they've proven they cannot play clean enough to win 5 straight, let alone 5 straight against good teams. Are they capable of it? Sure ... but there is nothing that would lead you to believe they can do it based on their play so far this year.
