I don't know...I was indifferent about the pick but optimistic. Reading the banter here I assumed he was going to be the worst WR ever drafted. Hoping for the best and feeling a bit better about him after watching and reading up a bit on him last night. But I wish I had not watched the conference. His personality kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Still gonna root for the guy.

why would Mitchell be off the board?
Because people believe 2 "unnamed scouts" who trashed him.

If he's not managing that given what he does, with the resources of two different major football programs with all the resources a player could ask for that speaks to a lack of maturity as much as anything else. It's not about the Bills managing his diabetes, it's about him managing his diabetes. Could he start? Sure. Why would he begin now if he hasn't already?
Agree, If he is a type 1 diabetic(which I don't know 1 or 2, havent looked into it other than message board banter)... if he isn't managing it well he would not be able to do anything at an optimal level which he has shown let alone live very long. Most people dont understand the difference between type 1 and type 2

I think that big dude really messed him up when you bear hug him and picked him up he had to go in the back and do something to numb the pain LOL

Happens to me all the time....I always just stick w/ Go Bills. Normally get the same in return. Every once in a while it tends to throw them off and they don't know what to reply with. But I travel to and from Florida a lot so half of the people in and out of that state are from NY it feels like.

https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp
For those interested in trading up, here's some scenarios. This is not to say that I want to Bills to make any of these moves. Just putting information out there.
Bills Picks - Value
#28 - 660
#60 - 300
#128 - 44
#133 - 39.5
2025 #1 - 300
2025 #2 132
2025 #2 (Diggs) - 150?
These are the values of different tiers in the top 20 for this draft:
5 - 1700
10 - 1300
15 - 1050
20 - 850
So, for those who want a top 4 receiver, which are projected to go in the top 10-15, you'd be looking at:
Top 10 - 1300 Value - #28, #60, #133, 2025 #1
Top 15 - 1050 Value - #28, #60 or next year's 1st, and #2 next year from Diggs trade
For me, that's way to rich for my blood in such a deep draft class. But, I also wouldn't be surprised if one of them fell beyond 10.
Thanks for putting all that together man.

Disagree. Texans don't have a number 1 this year, so they had little to offer in this year's draft. Getting a number two in 2025...and as One Bills Live reported it is Minnesota's pick (due to a trade) which should be high next year...this is more than you would expect for a 30 year old receiver who would have been cut last year. San Diego only got a 4th for Keenan Allen. So...when you think about it, this trade makes sense.
slow down there...you are making way too much sense.

This years first and second, next years first and two seconds. That'll move you up quite a ways and would be very attractive to a developing team. Only took me half a second to come up with that scenario.
just out of curiosity wonder how far that does get you in the points system that people like to quote.

We're getting Hyde and Poyer back.
Let them taste FA. Too many team need Safeties and not every player fits in the system easily. Their value will go down and Beane picks them back up for less than before and boom
I have a feeling hyde will hang it up due to his neck.

Gonna miss Mitch....always gave the impression of a good dude. Wonder how josh feels about this one.

I hope things change in FA before the draft, but at present the DL depth chart is:
DT: Ed Oliver, Eli Ankou
DE: Greg Rousseau, Von Miller (who showed nothing last season) and Kingsley Jonathan
Again, right now, that would be the worst DL in the league. At DT, I would not even want Ankou starting while a rookie learns. DE is not much better - Rousseau is good when healthy, Miller will be 36 and is really just a hope that he can regain some decent form and I know Tasker says they like Jonathan, but he is really unproven.
I am not arguing not to take a WR in the 1st, but it seems possible to still get a decent X receiver in the 2nd, where DT and DE look less deep.
Man Floyd was such an awesome signing...Chances are slim Beane can catch lightning in a bottle 2x in a row at that position but heres to hoping.

Beane has shown time and time again that he will make a fair offer for what he values a player and if they walk they walk. I would love to have him back but I fully expect that to happen for Douglas.

GET OFF MY LAWN! haha...this is the direction it has been going for a LONG time. It is just getting around to a higher percentage of people. This is how the younger generations are already consuming entertainment. This is a long term shift that has been in the works for a very long time.

Saw it too...I had wondered if they had possibly thought it might be the last time the 2 brothers play against each other for some reason. Just pure speculation. Or, maybe he keeps one from each game they play each other?

Its the Josh Allen amazingly awesome circus of insanity. Any given game could be the greatest game in the history of any QB all the way to the opposite end of the spectrum in my opinion. Just cant stop watching to see what happens next...me included.

4 is even more so than 3.5 it seems. Hopeful that as Bard shifts to gemini(ultra)it will be more open/free reign but doubt it for the time being. But that is the issue w/ LLMs for now.

Honestly I just think it is his youth coming through. Nothing wrong with it, I am sure I was way more cocky when I was his age as well. Just not a huge fan of his personality that came across in the conference. Hell it could have been nerves and he really isnt that over the top in person. I have no idea. I have been in a certain industry for 24 years now. As I have aged and been involved for a long time I have grown quite turned off by people who come down on the side of being cocky...which shares a very fine line with very confident. I see it quite a bit in my line. One persons "that dude is extremely confident" crosses the line and is in the cocky realm for others. A very fine line and everyone's threshold is slightly different. What I see on a very regular basis, I favor the humble kid who comes in for a session or just lets his skill do the talking on stage. As I said previously, I KNOW for a fact I was very cocky when I was his age(my father likes to remind me on occasion). I was just making an observation of my first impression. I have no ill will towards the dude and wish him nothing but the best for himself and for the Bills. I guess I am just an aging person who is growing closer to "get off my lawn" lol
