  1. I'll take your word for it. I don't have the playbook and don't know what route Zay was supposed to run there.

It's hard to say because it depends on where the defenders are coming out or your break and situational awareness such as where the endzone is. His route was too flat toward the sideline bringing him up too close to the coverage beneath. In that scenario you want him to realize he has the safety beat, where the pylon is, and where the underneath defender is and keep the padding he has for an easy thread over the top in stride. I think Zay made the catch a lot harder on himself. Being inexperienced at this level it isn't surprising. He'll learn more as he gets more reps.

We desperately need to take more shots downfield. If we throw one more screen or check down to the flat... I'm going to claw my eyes out.

  2. He goes to the Pylon because it is a freaking corner route

He didn't go to the Pylon, he flattened his route and went to the sideline. Also cut down the padding on the coverage nearly allowing the defender coming back to disrupt if the ball was thrown right on him where he ran.

Had he opened his route up to the pylon he'd have been hit in stride. No need to turn, no need to stretch back.

  3. Where was the right spot since you have the playbook and can tell me?

Well if Zay doesn't stumble, and runs it out to where the Ball was thrown, it would have been right over his right shoulder... instead of over his left and over his head causing him to stretch back for it...

But I dig the condescension in your post Bang. Still a vitriolic loser like back on BBF
