  1. Ross Cockrell, man I really liked him too. He played really well against Mike's Evans in college. Seems like his frame was a little weak when he came in but he looked pretty good last year with the Steelers. I really hope Seymour pans out. That article about his vision being impaired during college, needing glasses and this potentially being the reason he struggled with interceptions makes him a big question mark as he develops. Letting Gilmore walk may make us uneasy but I really would prefer a safety if we pick at 10. Trading back a bit would be even better.
  2. Shady really is a nightmare behind this line. It'd be sad to waste it.
  3. When an entire message board that was heavily used by a huge segment of Bills Fans evaporates, you can likely predict people will begin to use this board like it was their own... which it now is. Bummer huh? Silverlining, you have grown enormously overnight and can find grievances with brand new members. Maybe even make some friends? Woah... Far Out.
  4. I can't say for sure but.. Releasing or trading high profile players and replacing them with less talented ones would be a way of fielding a below average team. This would also help us accrue picks and relieve our salary cap. Sure a coach can make a difference but without the same level of talent you're always the underdog, squeaking out a win or two. I agree, Rex was terrible and his coaching/scheme made good players look awful. And the 3 QBs listed you'd assume would have a less likely chance of succeeding than Tyrod, maybe even less than Cardale. That's the only way I can see us tanking successfully.
  5. I am too brofist. No disrespect taken, the kid isn't perfect but the deck is stacked against him when our #1, #2 and #3 WR missed time. Not to mention how Guru Rex turned our defense into a confused bunch of penalty machines. A top 10 defense and we would've sniffed playoffs, likely taking that Miami spot.
  6. Virgil.. You get it! Imagine doing something so drastic. You'd think we would ensure the first pick and some team would pay heavy for it. Set ourselves up with more money in free agency and fans would tune in like a passerby to road kill. We wouldn't be able to look away.
  7. 1. I made no mention of Darnold or any specific player to tank for and again this thread pertains to the 3 QBs listed, would you want them or think they would give this team something to talk about? 2. I'm stating that if Tyrod goes and we drop a number of players that significantly contribute to this team we will need to drum up interest somehow. 3. Since when is it rude to enter dialogue with people who have similar interests and continue this conversation as the thread unfolds. 4. Negative attention for sharing an off the wall idea or opinion? Cmon dude, get real. 5. Breathe
  8. Brofist to Chuck, sharing a frontal lobe? Why even bother responding if your not gonna flame me or contribute in a meaningful way? I didn't mention Darnold. I saw that though, how many times has the media or public fallen in love with a QB the year before he enters the draft and then their stock plummets. I'd bet that'll be the case.
  9. I've seen plenty of folks who believe we should let Tyrod hit free agency, unload bloated contracts and tank for next year posturing in the draft. Am I for this? No, I think we have a lot of talent on this team and truly don't know if I can continue to stomach rebuild after rebuild. However, if we do go this route let's make it interesting. I realize that this is not realistic but it's interesting to get the perspective of others on how we can tank while making this team interesting to watch. Here are 3 reclamation projects at QB that I believe would at the very least peak my interest enough each week to watch a lost season. Vince Young- Lets make him great again! That's his slogan not mine but I do find it interesting that his win-loss record as a starting QB is better than plenty of starters in this league. He's shown glimpses in the past of ability and had he stayed in the league he'd be in his prime right now. If I remember correctly his stint here was shadowed by an insane amount of debt owed to creditors and the Bills Brass willingness to trot out the same ol crap. RG3- How can you go from slinging sammies in a Subway commercial, becoming the darling of Washington and bringing your team to the playoffs year 1.. to what he is today. Was his edge as a starting QB all he really had, his legs? Is his athleticism gone? It just baffles me and regardless if he had stayed healthy or not, last year Cleveland was a dumpster fire (excluding Pryor). Johnny Football- His own worst enemy obviously but a former Heisman winner, the first as a freshman and what some say has the "IT" factor. I wouldn't necessarily put all my chips in on a short QB with limited understanding of complicated NFL offensive schemes but it'd be a captivating story at the very least and would sell tickets for sure. If we tank, Russ Brandon will have to do something to sell tickets. Russ... pick up all 3. At least keep our attention or once again by mid season my passion will lie in the hands of my own fantasy team. I need more than this. And yes, interesting must be my word of the day hahahaha, yikes.
  10. aristocrat's Photoaristocrat Yesterday, 01:58 PM he's still only 25. i'd take a shot but the money has to be incentive based. This He is not going to require us to break the bank. The general consensus is Woods will be gone which gives us yet another hole on the roster. Goodwin, fragile and unreliable. Listenbee, unproven and injured last year. Hunter, Performed better than I expected. Those TD's aren't givens and we've seen better WR's drop more (Stevie). Easley, cmon.. a gunner, that's all. Sammy, elite when available.. which is rare of late. So we're worried about Gordon taking the money and running? Who cares, it's peanuts and we paid Harvin twice for playing that game. I believe this kid has something if clean. What are most 25 year old men up to? Bud and brews, you bet. Hopefully he understands millions of dollars trumps the recreational BS. If he does we would have the best one two punch in the league. It would be beautiful to watch.
  11. Brandon Marshall may be a stretch for us if we do in fact retain Tyrod. I'd be looking for less marquee players like Hawkins who was recently released, even Kenny Stills as I'm banking he doesn't receive the 12 mil a yr he's asking for. Ultimately I'd like to keep Robert Woods, he's one of the best blocking WRs in the league and that's a huge need for a run first team. Side Note: BBMB's decline and inevitable collapse was certainly not helped by the awful Mods on that board. I got banned for telling everyone that Tyrod would win the QB battle the day he was signed. Apparently no one did their homework on the guy and felt it was blasphemy. Glad to be on a board with less absurd restrictions.
