Better than sticking with an offense that clearly wasn't working. McD tried something new. Obviously it did not work out. Oh well. Life goes on.

It worked the last two seasons under a scheme that fit TT talents and the running game. They scored a lot of points. New-how about an O line that can block?

It's for another thread but there is not a great draft pick I can think of from Whaley. Name one player he drafted that has leadership qualities. I can't think of one. He overspent for talent rich, not bright, me first guys. There wasn't a leader on the team from his regime. McD had to keep all the old guys around and get rid of the young for leadership qualities so he could change the culture. In fact that's why he kept Tyrod around...leadership not talent.

Until proven other wise, this current regime looks as inept as any other during the  drought. When I see the playoff spot, then I'll feel different.

...just realistically STOP....in a season of MAJOR transition, everybody's bawls went from melancholy bruised blue to gold platinum with the uncanny 5-2 start.....and now we're back to the more realistic blue....and to expect the "top to bottom newness gang" to have made all necessary repairs in one off season and 10 games into the schedule is PURE manure....the OBD "'welcome mat" is stained with pigeon droppings as far as coming here to fix an ailing franchise if anybody listens to the TBD pundits.....

Over the years, I think some message board suggestions would have been better than what OBD has done. We are stuck in the 7-9, 8-8 mode. Esp with the drafting.

    Uh how?

Im happy with 10 plus wins or 11 plus losses. Nothing in between

Gonna have a long wait for that. The way they have been playing, i would put them only over Cleveland at this point.

This is what makes me laugh about All-22 reviews where the writer will use only 3-4 plays from a game where 60+ plays were run. It's the ultimate cherry pick and a lot of people will eat it up and run with it one way or the other. Whatever fits their own personal agenda and narrative.

Taylor is a good QB. Only in Buffalo is he not valued the way that he should be and I've lost all confidence in the current front office and coaching staff.

My problem with the agenda people is what QB have we had that could do better than TT the answer is none. Then their response is "if your satisfied with 8-8"and so on. As if these rosters have had SB talent on them.

...if "my guys versus their guys" is the egotistical way we formulate a roster to be in the hunt, we'll be in non-playoff purgatory or even deeper, hell forever.....I run a major multi-million dollar company and would clean house in a nanosecond for that type of ludicrous, organizational damaging thought process.....WTF?...............

Looks like that is what they are doing. Not all of Whaley's decisions were wrong. This is why I'm starting to have serious doubts about this group. We'll see.

    Youre so buffalo. “Good enough.”

Well what are we all supposed to do when this is the players they put on the field. You have a billion dollars to buy out the Pegulas-then you can put your money where your loud mouth is, otherwise keep the conversation to what the Bills have put on the field.

You OBVIOUSLY don’t listen to him.

He's from NE and lives in that area. he's alway been a NE fan, even before Kraft. He also supports the Bills. But it's his fault for the ineptitude, right?

  6. 1 minute ago, Bills Pimpin' said:

Yes he has 20 wins, 7 years in the league and that a commendable achievement in the league. And yes there was some negative commentary from some national media and a few player that I know of publically, but I'm sure you are talking about  Richard Sherman. I am certain none that was taken in consideration in either QB decision. Maybe you think it should.

Also, I always root for the Bills to win regardless of the QB playing or whether I think it is best for the team long term. You should stop making assumptions and derogatory statements about others on this board who have differing opinions, they are all valid.

    He's been a starter for 2 and 1/2 seasons. 38 games.  38 chances.

  7. 1 minute ago, joesixpack said:

And he is still not good. He’s at best an 8-8 , 9-7 guy. No thanks.

lol and again, what QB have we had that could do better with this roster since 2015-none. This team has had average at best talent since 2015, and below average this season. 20 wins from that isn't horrible.

JM2009 will not tolerate any opinion that isn’t supportive of tryhard taylor. It’s a pointless exercise.

I won't support agendas. TT just happens to be the best QB we have had in a bit. He's not the long term answer, but  we haven't had better since he has been here. That's all there is to any of it.

....c'mon, let's be REAL here....Smerlas, any other former Bills player, any media urinalist, or ANY TBD pundit do NOT know the inner "behind the scenes workings" that led up to the decision or who actually made it PERIOD....I'd bet even your renowned "Bobby the American" Matthews doesn't know (LOL-couldn't resist)...it is all conjecture, hypotheses, media frenzy, speculation or self proclaimed "I AM IN THE KNOW" from "unnamed sources".........we'll NEVER know PERIOD..............

I think Dennison may have pushed McDermott a bit in this. Maybe Dennison should be the one who needs  to go.Should have kept the offense the same and played to TT strengths.

Only you would value the opinion of a patriots nut licker.

A guy that was one of the best NT ever and played when the NFL was a lot tougher, yes. He's from the NE area, so he roots for NE and the Bills. Is it his fault that the Bills have been an organization of ineptitude for far too long? No.

So you didn't watch most of the half Taylor played? 1 turnover to 5 turnovers that almost turned to 7? Yeah that alone is much better... without even factoring in the positive plays.

    Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I think TT has 60 something total TDs and only 20 total turnovers. Why DaBills focussed on that one play when he knows TT rarely turns the ball over, to me, is sour grapes because he really pushed for Peterman. But he's a good poster overall.

...ALL on the outside surmising, hypothesizing and guessing as much as the TBD gang did, right?.....let us know when you have the actual FACTS and UNSPOKEN OBD truth.....good luck....

The whole thing played out as bad as it could have gone. Fred Smerlas said before the game that the move was bad. He talked about the sixth seed, the locker room etc... Being a former player, he knows more than any of us to what goes on, I think.

I see your defense is still holding strong JM. what will be your breaking point if they don't go (no way they win 5 out of 6, 10-6) 7-9 as you projected? what if they don't win another game? are you still going to be defending taylor and his record? blame the defense? you blame peterman for the last loss, who do you blame for the other 4?

you're fighting a losing battle here and sooner then later your defense is going to be all for naught.

no, I'm not rooting for players to fail or the team to fail or for coaches to fail. I don't have to, they seem to be doing a good job on their own. difference is, I'm not wearing blinders and seen enough to take that little bit of hope I may of had and sweep it under the rug, where it belongs until they start showing some competence, start contending. thing is, I may not live long enough to see that happen because I'm almost certain it's not happening anytime soon?

I think they should beat Miami and the Colts at home as long as TT plays. I also think a 20-18 record for an average at best team isn't terrible. Any other QB on the roster wouldn't have come close to that. He's the best we have had in a bit. I don't think we will ever contend again, to be honest.  I'm for appreciating any win when it comes, now. This bunch needs a QB, new RB when McCoy is traded next season, new O line, new D line and so on. This bunch is as clueless as any other, maybe more so IMO.

...look, the decision was made for whatever reason and by whom, both of which we will NEVER know the answers.....Savage got benched for Watson.....Hoyer for Bethard...Glennon for Tribusky, etc.....don't think any of those came under as much major media scrutiny as Peterman for TT.....panic mode to stop the two game hemorrhaging?....who knows.....look at KC's ship taking on water and Andy has yet to go to Mahomes.....Andy is seasoned and McD is a neophyte pupil of his.....Andy is where he is today, despite a woeful playoff record because he grew and learned from his mistakes as a HC.....no way in hell should McD be entitled to growing pains in his position I guess............

There is a reason the national media, and players from around the league really blasted the move. That's not growing pains. Until proven otherwise, this bunch stands the same as the rest of the drought.

I think it's a mistake to start a lame duck QB and although I disagree with the decision to start Tyrod I'm sure the coach has valid reasons for doing so. I don't think it will make a difference in the outcome of the game. Vegas doesn't give a  **** about Tyrod playing either... the line moved from Bills  +9.5 to +10 yesterday after the annoucement. Peterman and the teams play was just too brutal to play him this week.

I don't think he's happy about it either. In the press conference when he said Tyrod needed to "Do his job" I felt like he wanted to say "Do his !@#$ing job and throw the !@#$ing ball". He knows Tyrod can't win in this league. Unfortunately he doesn't have a choice.

Except TT has 20 wins. So I guess he can win, huh?So nice to see "fans" rooting for the worst when he plays. At 5-4, and with the sixth seed, it was ridiculous for the HC to start Peterman. That is why he got blasted from the  media and other NFL players. Your posting isn't as cocky and snide as it was a week ago. I wonder why. SMH

Week 1 - 16 for 28 for 224 yards and two touchdowns.  38 yards rushing.  It should have been three touchdowns, but Clay let one bounce off his hands in the end zone and it was picked off.

Week 3 - 20 for 26 for 213 yards and two touchdowns.  No turnovers.

    Week 4 - 12 for 20 for 182 yards and a touchdown.  No turnovers.

Week 5 - 20 for 33 for 268 yards and a touchdown.  53 yards rushing on just 6 carries.  No turnovers.

Week 6 - 20 for 27 for 165 yards and a touchdown.  Touchdown run, as well.  No turnovers.

If you don't consider his play as having a lot to do with those wins, you're either clueless or a troll.

Of course there is no answer.

How often do we read this crap?  The experts do know better.  They are paid that for a reason.  They may debate whether he is the future or not and that is fair.

A fifth round pick better then a first round pick......,  100X's better?????

I watch the Bills and see a terrible offensive scheme and not sure how much Tyrod is to blame.

We now see Dax and that he may not be the second coming when the line not as good and missing his RB.

Peterman should never have started. No place for a fifth round rookie on the road.

Bingo. You guys really need a hobby or help. Or both. the infatuation of hate towards one player is very disturbing. So is taking the effort to create a whole other account just to come back on a message board to spew more  agenda filled nonsense.
