  1. What all these draft "experts" (on TV and at home) fail to realize year after year is that the "Top Quarterback Available" label rarely means they are one of the top players available, and we see this every year when people label players "busts," when in reality they were really just evaluation busts and the players were drafted too high.

From the draft logic that brought you e j Manuel.. ..

    Exactly.

  2. Bills fans want the Bills to draft another top 10 WR. Last team to draft multiple wrs in the top 10 in a 3 year time frame is the 0-16 Lions.

I didn't say that, but they need to find someone legit for the #2 spot either by trade or at some point in the draft or they'll have another below-average receiving corps which will hurt Tyrod and the offense just like last year. If (when) Sammy gets hurt again, they'll need a decent option that can draw some attention away from the running game or else the offense will sputter and fans will be calling for Tyrod's job (again.)

  3. I think that Tyrod Taylor is not the type of QB that will bring a team back with his arm. However, he can manage a game, is careful with the ball, and can score points. He would be a good QB for a team with a strong defense. I could see a strong case made, that the perfect team for Tyrod Taylor to thrive and be highly successful, year in year out, is Denver. From my perspective, our Defense, or lack there of, is the Bill's number one problem. I don't know if it's the lack of quality defensive players or the scheme that they play. However it's obvious they cannot stop the run or the pass.

I agree. The defense has been below average at best. The DBs can't cover, and why they run a 3-man rush every play and get ZERO pressure on QBs is beyond me. The QB stands in the pocket for 4-5 seconds and, even with the extra DBs, the WRs are usually wide open and they pick us apart.

  4. I've always thought he was pretty decent...not great, but good. He's always played overly physical in coverage, and I think he's always gotten away with a lot of pass interference. He can't catch. But he seems to be regressing this year. It looks like his coverage has been below average, leaving guys wide open, and he hasn't made any game-changing plays (interceptions) like a #1 CB needs to make to be a difference maker (and $$$money maker). Someone is going to (over)pay him next year, but it won't be the Bills, and I'm okay with that.
