I'll repeat what I've written before and for which I was duly criticized.
The Rooney Rule is the worst form of tokenism and belittles minorities. I guess Doug will now be the Rooney Rule go-to guy for any open GM positions. It demeans the league, it insults him and it makes a joke of "diversity."

Any news on this? I know there was a fair share of rumbling and speculation in past years, but some inside sources tell me it's been picking up again recently, especially north of the border.
You have "inside sources" and you come here to verify them? Those must be some sources!

If ever there was a reason to make any call able to be challenged, that was it.
Although Hughes getting called for celebrating a tackle with a team mate, the other year, is close.
I remember Eric Moulds getting flagged for "maliciously spinning the football"

If you really want to analyze it, go here: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/upshot/buffalo-bills-nfl-playoff-picture.html
According to that, if the Ravens lose Monday night and we beat Indy and Miami twice, we have a 69% chance of making the playoffs

At best 2-2 I can see the Bills winning against the Pats once and losing away and same thing with the Dolphins
or
Pats sweep the Bills and we sweep the Dolphins
or
Pats sweeps the Bills and we split against the Dolphins . Bills beating the Dolphins at Miami in a meaningless garbage game
or
Worst case scenario Bills will be 0-4 against the Pats and the Dolphins
There is no way we will be 3-1 and of course forget being 4-0
This is a brilliant post. Thanks, lots of food for thought.

Only one of the three demolished stadiums was built before The Ralph (Tampa Stadium opened about 5 years earlier)

It all kind of makes me miss Jeff Tuel

20 teams don't make the playoffs

Stupid post? Like this one? "you know, for a while there, I really thought McD and Beane had a legitimate, long-term plan. Now it seems that they are just randomly clicking buttons"

Wade has a ring. Ralph did him a favor.

Well put. You, my friend, are my Bills Fan Hero.

Makes me think of the good old days of Buddy and Chan.
Did that ever really happen?

2 weeks. Then we play the Patriots.

Gruden once called Tim Tebow "250 lbs of concrete cyanide".
Find me a player that he hasn't excessively hyped up.
I think cyanide is supposed to be bad.

There was also the playoff loss a little earlier that year as well in January.
Oh, that playoff loss! It was one of the most heartbreaking losses ever, yes, including Wide Right. The Bills won 11 games that year after 4 straight losing seasons (including a 2-win season in '76). Joe Ferguson was playing on a badly-strained ankle and played heroically. Bills had a 14-3 lead at halftime but couldn't hold on, and Fergy had a difficult time passing on a very windy day. The Bills gave up a long TD late to Dan Fouts.
I was watching it with my father and a friend of his. After it was over, the friend said "Oh well, it's just a game." I wanted to kill him.

....yup, the Dareus trade allows us to SOLELY attribute giving up 500yds rushing to just that......oft injured and playing less than 40% of the snaps.....makes PERFECT sense......
So your explanation for the 500 yards is what, exactly? A team with a HOF quarterback runs the ball 24 straight times? What do they see that makes them do this?

God I want this to be a "they just laid an egg" scenario
Two eggs, to be more precise
500 yards rushing in 2 games since the weed man got traded.

The reporters covering the Bills won't say it because they still have to have access to the players, but the Bills' defense has quit. Period. The Saints game was characterized by tackling that would get guys benched on a high school team. Sure Marcel Dareus is gone, but you ARE allowed to replace him with another player. It seems that there was nobody home on the D line all day.
The missed tackles happened in the secondary. Before that the Bills consistently failed to make contact with the runner at the line of scrimmage.
The drive that ended in the Brees touchdown was the single most amazing drive I have ever seen in many years of watching football. They were ripping off 10 yards on every play when the Bills knew what was coming.
I've been thinking of replacing my Stadium Wall pic because the dumpster fire seemed to have gone away with Rex and Whaley but I'm going to leave it for now.
And I'm bracing myself for all of the "Start Peterman" threads. Only an idiot would think that a QB change would make any difference on this team.

Hope Sean McDermott’s reading this. Can’t have a linebacker covering kamara or he’s gonn eat us all day
If the Bills coaches are looking for advice here we're in big trouble.

Darby got bumped from the team because of the Sherman injury. Or maybe because he got torched too many times before getting injured.

Until I saw this video I forgot that Reggie Bush was once a Bill.

TD Greg Williams would have been fine if they kept Bledsoe.
So what you're saying is they would have been fine if the Devil didn't make them let Bledsoe go?
