  1. Just bought a jim kelly houston gamblers jersey, and it's a tab big. I think that's why it was so cheap (20). It's a 2x. I am a tall guy, so its not that bad, but you think if i put it through the wash then dryer it will shrink a good bit ? I usually don't wash my jerseys in the machine. This one's letters are sewed on n all, its made by majestic. Pretty damn cool. Anyone with experience ?

  2. When I worked at walmart a couple summers ago i worked with this chick who was baptist. She kept trying to get me to go to church with her, convert me, etc, after I told her i was catholic.

So weird. She actually thought less of me because I was catholic. I guess she went to bob jones university. I did some research. I guess this uni is a bunch of catholic haters...bob jones actually wrote letters about how he was happy the pope died (not the latest, but from earlier years).

I found a couple pamphlets in the breakroom one time entitled "Are catholics really christians?"

It's funny, you know, because everyone says catholics are so uptight n all that...when we're the ones who are most open-minded.

  3. From what I understand- the designers of ESPN will be taking over as far as designing the EA Sports football games in 07

I wish this was true, but it's not. The designers of espn are ea sports competitors, or were. They will be back with something, not sure of what. It's really sad...as someone who has been playing 2k games since 2k on the dreamcast, i have really lost interest in any kind of pro game because of this. I won't be buying madden this year or ever.

NCAA 2006 is pretty cool, but theres still bugs in it from last year. Defensive players still go offsides and stand there when the offense runs no-huddle. The ground game is ok, but running up the middle almost always leads to your rb running into your own players and just running in place.

I am tulsa right now.. they are a pretty decent dynasty team. Once i get the named rosters in the mail, i will be playing as central michigan, my alma mater. Xbox live is an option, but ive played a few games and it seems most people just use cheese plays.

  4. That won't be the last time it happens.  Mark my words.  Someone else will go into the stands.  Just like Kermit Washingtons suspension was susposed to end the on court fighting huh?  Here we are 25 years later and fights still break out at NBA games.

Haven't all the pacers been in the stands already though ?

  5. Yeah, but they were retards when they called Sheed an idiot for saying that the refs were trying to make the series go seven, I guess.  :w00t:

    ...Never said that.

Sheed shoots his mouth off all the time, sometimes its funny, sometimes it's just stupid.

  6. Darin and I don't always agree but we're in complete accord here with respect to both of his paragraphs.

Shaq gets away with a lot but the players who defend him get away with as much if not more, and I can't remember the last time I saw Shaq complain about people hanging all over him -- this while many NBA players writhe in a manner worthy of European soccer players at the slightest of touches.  He wasn't even 50% during the last series and has regularly had to have blood drained from his leg over the last month.

As for this line from you, Mugginns:

What was that you were saying about excuses?

    353193[/snapback]

It's not an excuse, you heard the announcers talking about it all the time. How the refs really like him now, how hes a big thing in the league and the refs watch him all the time, etc. You had to hear it.

  7. Actually, Rip was injured for a good amount of the games, too. Remember, he had a calf injury ?

As to Ben wallace being injured. It wouldn't really matter that much...Shaq would just force his ass into him and hook his arm around, anyway.

Yes wade was hurt, and maybe his play would've changed the series...maybe the phantom fouls the refs called for him would've helped out...but what about other players ? Damon Jones played terribly last night. Hasleem played terrible the first few games. What about game 1 in Miami ? The pistons won, and shaq played very well for the first half.

Excuses, excuses. In the end, the champs are still in it.

Anyway, charisma? Who doesn't want to see the hard working Pistons play? Rip Hamilton is a great player who doesn't talk sh--. Rasheed is an explosive individual who loves making drama. Ben Wallace is no-nonsense, a defensive expert, the defensive MVP ? The heat have two players most people can name.

  8. Pistons played like champs.

And whats this about no superstars ? Rasheed Wallace not a superstar ?

Rip played awesome all series. The underdogs won - beating shaq. You have to root for them. No one can cover shaq, and he just backs his way into every player, shoves a bit, throws a hook around (hook meaning arm hook, not hook shot) and shoots and scores. This is good for the NBA.
