  1. I know ea gets a lot of flack for pushing out the same game year over year, but since I am a weak-willed fawn of a man who needs virtual football in my life, I caved and picked up madden 16. And I've got to say I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It still has plenty of issues, and it certainly won't be putting to bed the whole "bring back 2K"- talk, but for the first time in a long time I can say I am impressed with a Madden game. Hands down the biggest and best change, and one that strangely seems hardly talked about in the reviews I've read, is to the run game. For the first time the linemen seem to give a damn about run blocking. Ya know, doing their job. I've actually been able to break off some great runs by being patient and following the blocks, rather than just spamming the boost button like in previous years. I also really like the additional of rpg style objectives to MUT, since it gives me added incentive to grind solos.

Commentary is still ****ty, and the changes to the passing game seem gimmicky, but hey, I'll take what I can get.

  2. Your league format is unorthodox. You only start 1 RB? Weird.

This. Strange active/bench ratio. Still though, you have solid players. As someone else already said, my concern is carrying a second kicker and DEF. I'm hugely biased bc my strategy is to usually stream those two positions, so I only ever carry one of each, and they get flipped almost every week. I'd rather play the favourable match up then look for consistency/depth week-to week at K/DEF. Doing so allows me to have depth at positions where I feel I really need it (WR/RB/TE.) Just my two cents :)

  3. Not a bad thing...you just lack depth. TJ Yeldon is your only starting bench RB, and he is a relatively unproven rookie who plays for Jacksonville. I "owned" Ingram last year and he frustrated the hell out of me. Word out of NO is that they're going to run the ball a lot more this year though.

I had a similar experience with Ingram last year. You don't know pain until you've seen him stuffed for three straight plays on the 2 yard line. I like the guy, but it's like he becomes a pillow in the red zone. Even still, I'd be happy with him as a RB2. The work load should buoy his value.
