  1. Wow horrible news. My thoughts and prayers to all involved, including the TDB boarder who witnessed it. That's brutal stuff.
  2. I know ea gets a lot of flack for pushing out the same game year over year, but since I am a weak-willed fawn of a man who needs virtual football in my life, I caved and picked up madden 16. And I've got to say I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It still has plenty of issues, and it certainly won't be putting to bed the whole "bring back 2K"- talk, but for the first time in a long time I can say I am impressed with a Madden game. Hands down the biggest and best change, and one that strangely seems hardly talked about in the reviews I've read, is to the run game. For the first time the linemen seem to give a damn about run blocking. Ya know, doing their job. I've actually been able to break off some great runs by being patient and following the blocks, rather than just spamming the boost button like in previous years. I also really like the additional of rpg style objectives to MUT, since it gives me added incentive to grind solos. Commentary is still ****ty, and the changes to the passing game seem gimmicky, but hey, I'll take what I can get.
  3. DON'T trash talk him before the game like the Steelers did. That just makes gronk angry
  4. This. Strange active/bench ratio. Still though, you have solid players. As someone else already said, my concern is carrying a second kicker and DEF. I'm hugely biased bc my strategy is to usually stream those two positions, so I only ever carry one of each, and they get flipped almost every week. I'd rather play the favourable match up then look for consistency/depth week-to week at K/DEF. Doing so allows me to have depth at positions where I feel I really need it (WR/RB/TE.) Just my two cents
  5. Besides quick slants to gronk, it seemed like the Pats go-to play was a curl route along the side lines. They absolutely abused the one corner all night. I remember a string of these plays in the first quarter (all to Edelman I believe) so identical I thought I was watching a replay.
  6. Chandler's stat line from last night is the definition of efficiency lol 1/1/1/1
  7. Same here, I gave up on getting actual work done. I've been chewing the clock all week lol
  8. Sounds like a lot of you guys are in smaller leagues. I've never done shallower than 12. Can't really complain though, I think I prefer the strategy involved when the options are thin.
  9. Really? The Texans defense is scary, but I think their offensive will be too anemic. I take Reid's squad in a close game.
  10. Miami should be the gimme of the week. I would also feel pretty comfortable taking the Chiefs over the Texans, in what should be an absolute snooze fest.
  11. I had a similar experience with Ingram last year. You don't know pain until you've seen him stuffed for three straight plays on the 2 yard line. I like the guy, but it's like he becomes a pillow in the red zone. Even still, I'd be happy with him as a RB2. The work load should buoy his value.
  12. I hear if you wear a Cassel jersey, you instantly become a boring shell of yourself
  13. I'll be there, super pumped. Is it a party foul if I wear my Spiller jersey?
