Be warned that the hotels in Buffalo are not the nicest places in the world.

Lots of people recommend staying near the stadium but since you have more on your itinerary than just the game I would stay somewhere downtown.  Most things of interest to you will be a quick drive from downtown and there are plenty of dining and drinking options which will be walkable.  Book ASAP as rooms get pricey the weekend of home games.

Is this Tom Brady’s burner account?

  2. There’s a reason this name pops up every year and we don’t hear it at playoff time. Pass.

People forget...Bills were 3rd in sacks in the entire NFL last year, only 3 behind the top team too.  And that is with Tre, Milano, and Jones all out for most the season and Bernard missing the end of the season.

Our pass rush isn't as dire as many fear IMHO.

But in the playoffs when t hey really really REALLY need to make the opposing quarterback uncomfortable?  It becomes the Invisible Men.

“Just like”?  Kelce was coming off a season where he was 3rd in catches, 8th in yards, and 2nd in TDs.  Kincaid is coming off a season where he was 34th in catches, 56th in yards, and in a 46 way tie for 113th in TDs.  Those are two very different scenarios.

I like Kincaid and think he’s going to be a good player in the league for a long time, but it’s probably wise to pump the brakes on putting him in the HOF just yet.  If he increases his yardage total next year by 30%, that would give him 875 yards.  That would have ranked him 39th overall and 7th among TEs just ahead of Trey McBride last year.  If he increases it by 40%, he’d be at 942 yards which would have ranked 32nd overall or basically the minimum threshold for being a #1 target in the league.

I love Kinkaid, but don’t fans think that other DCs watch film and are going to make life much more difficult for these guys? Homers always believe that a player’s improvement is linear … well he’ll be 20% better next season, another 20% better the following season … and on and on.  It’s a fool’s errand to count on that

  4. As a senior in high school, my dad was transferred here and this was absolutely the last place I wanted to be. They let guilt get the better of them and bought me a car to ease my genuine pain. I grew up in Chicago and therefore was a Bears fan, but got sucked into the Bills life during the chuck Knox/Joe Ferguson/Joe cribs era …. Been a mafia lifer since then, although I still follow da bears and am cautiously optimistic that they can FINALLY develop a blue chip quarterback

I think there is some conspiracy group that believes birds are mechanical spies invading our privacy, watching us like big brother, or something.   I wonder if that is it.

Tickets used to be 6-8-10 bucks back in the 70's... and 25 or so in the 80's for big names. The math doesn't add up to what they are charging nowadays. Before Harvey was known to be a "fill in the blank", Harvey & Corky Burger put out a ton of shows in Buffalo with quality bands for a good price. It's a money grab now... just like the price of a beer at a concert or a game.

I'm sure others here have some stubs from these days:

Harv was still a ***** back then, ticket prices notwithstanding

I can see the logic there, but this was about 10:30-11:00 am in the morning, on some busy roads.

Don’t get me wrong, this goes on all day at some of these signals … I feel like public officials give lip service to energy conservation and CO emissions, then allow for things that are polar opposites of what they claim is important

I was in Buffalo yesterday for work, and several of the intersections I drove through had people blatantly blow through a red light.  I don't mean it must have just turned red when they went through, we definitely had the green our direction for a good second or two before they came through.

As a driver, it is maddening. There are lights on a major thoroughfare here that allow residential traffic from a small area to enter the main road. Did they install any kind of sensor?  NOOOOO of course not. Let’s just stop traffic every minute or two on a four lane road to let exactly ZERO cars out. At 5am no less. I am definitely guilty of running those lights during off hours.

I have not had a truly good slice of pizza in Indiana and I’ve lived here 30+ years.  Bocces, DiPaulos, somebody please put a franchise out here!

Just went to a family wedding in Valparaiso and had some terrific pizza … couldn’t tell y where it was from as my cousin ordered it though

  10. I have a growing collection of 1970s/1980s vintage hifi components … used to be a bargain of a hobby, but nowadays, top of the line components from certain brands of the era (marantz, pioneer, sansui) can fetch up to 10k … wife always asks me “do you need more speakers?” … of course I Don NEED then, but … 😂

  11. Methinks that they have to find a way to win the East. Fighting for a WC amongst improved competition is dicey to me. I expect 10-7, and it depends on what version of Aaron Rogers shows up in NY whether we win the division or not.  If not, we,re in the dreaded “in the hunt” graphic into December, and the schedule and injuries will determine who gets into the dance.

Bishop will be an upgrade, Rapp played a lot of downs, Benford was a starter Douglas is an upgrade over white. Jackson is easily replaceable . Mcdermott could not of screwed Elam up worse, hopefully he actually works with the kid and gets something out of him. He’s flashed enough to show coaching decisions have been harmful. They could choose to add to this group after June 1st and probably should in case of injury. the starting group is more than capable.

Rapp played a lot of AWFUL downs, but made one play to make people think he’s anything but a backup
