I remember his press conference for coming to Buffalo. My mom's friend wrote his speech and had to work with him on how to go through it. She wrote a bunch for the Bills. She said he wasn't easy to work with and she had to really work with him on being genuine and caring/emphasis on words to show sincerity.

Genuine was not a word used to describe Jimbo in those days.  Pompous and arrogant seem to be more accurate.

I frequently ran into him when he hung out with Conlan and Norwood.  I cannot remember anything Genuine about any of those encounters.

Thankfully he changed a lot and I believe that he has become a very Genuine person.

I think the appeal of this song has nothing at all to do with its lyrics.

It's a Bonding anthem is what it is. It's a catchy tune with a  fun back story

And it is Now a part of the lore which is Bills Mafia.

The world doesn't have to understand us. They just have to deal with us.

    That's what I think. 💃🏿

What is amazing about this topic is that fans act as though this is the only song played at Bills games at Highmark.

The fact that fans that show disdain that it is being played is crazy.

Suggestions that they should play AC/DC or any other song is f'n stupid.

    They do play other songs.

Are the angry that Josh, Kincaid,  Knox, Hollins and others don't get hyped up when other songs are played?

It the dumbest TSW thread of all time.

We are on the verge of an unexpected chance to play for another Lombardi trophy and the morons here are butt sore because they don't agree with the stadium playing a song that the players like.

    Unreal.

They could play Mary had a little lamb for all I care.   If the players vibe to it..... crank it up to 11!

I've never seen that they requested it and that's why the Bills began playing it.   It's a commonly played pop sing-along song at sporting events everywhere that's really directed toward an age/race demographic that tends to spend a lot of money on merchandise etc..  One of the keys to getting deeper into their wallet is making the experience seem catered to them.  Marketing 101.  Pretty certain you have it backwards and that the Bills started playing it and then Kincaid, Knox and Hollins and maybe Josh got into it.   It's a very small group that "vibe" to it.

It's a very important group that vibe to it.  It gets them hyped and I can't understand why fans of Josh, DK, Dk and Hollins would not support them.

I think those of you who disapprove of it should petition Bills PR group to have it stopped immediately.   These athletes make enough money to listen to music on their own time and not when they are being paid to entertain you.

When they played it Sunday night there were barely any people singing along in the stadium.   Sorry to those who just watch on TV and read social media hyperbole and think the crowd goes nuts for it and that it's a fixture now, etc..

It's not for me.  I watched the game on TV and they were at commercial break while Mr. Brightside was played.

I could care less about what they play in the stadium.

. Josh and his teammates requested the song to be played.  They vibe with it, therefore, I would guess that the fans would support the players.   But I guess not Bills fans.

They want it to be a song that they choose.

    Ha...  highly unlikely.

It never happens.  The dogs are undefeated to this day.  I have cameras at the gate and if you are not invited or announced...the dogs will escort you off the property.   I have tons of footage of people who don't respect or heed the no trespassing signs.

    Wow harsh lol. Sheeeeesh

15 page thread of people wanting it to be "AC/DC.

Allen and his 2025 roster have requested the song to be played at home games because the players vibe with that song.

Yet posters on this board want it changed to their favorite song ?

Get the F off my lawn.

  7. I really can't believe that there are people in here concerned about a song the players have arranged to be played.   Josh and his teammates want it played in the 4th quarter.   He said so.

Where do you d-bags get off thinking that it should be a  song that "you" suggest.  Are there really fans on here that are that F'n stupid?  (Asking for a friend).

Here’s the thing with all of these conspiracy theories. You would need all 32 teams in on the conspiracy. So 31 out of 32 teams would have to sign off on not winning the Super Bowl. 15 AFC teams would have to be fine with never even going to the Super Bowl. The amount of people who would know and never go public with the information would be huge.

But sure, there’s a huge conspiracy just to get the Chiefs there

Here is the thing:  why do 31 of 32 teams have to conspire a bad call ?  The two have nothing to do with each other.  Why were the Texans players and coaches so vocal about the penalties against them last week?

A:  the officials made obvious mistakes.

Because the officials are directly impacting the outcome of games does not mean 31 of 32 teams have to conspire.

There is no doubt that the Patriots got favorable call for 20 years.   Did the other 31 teams conspire with the league?

No,  the league allowed it and there was nothing the other 31 teams could do.

There is no better example of it than the Tuck rule.

Me eyes did not lie to me for 20 years of that BS.

Does anyone remember Jerry Hughes unsportsmanlike penalty for slapping a Bills DB or S on the helmet?

I am certain that the officials dictate who win certain games.   I have been watching since 1972.  It was never as evident as the Brady era and I am not interested in the league creating the same level of BS to assist Mahomes in creating another dynasty

Watch the KC film, who's the O lineman that always plays about 5' off the LOS?........he never gets called on it and it's a HUGE advantage.

The announcers last weekend were mentioning it during the KC/Texans game that it was a "for sure" penalty and the guy never got called out on it.........and then i couldn't "unsee" it all game long.

You are stating a fact.  I believe that it was Taylor

  10. This song is the current players hype song.

It great that the crowd is embracing it but there opinion means nothing.

This is the players driving this tradition... let them do their thing and suggestions that it should be AC/DC or any other random fans favorite is F'n stupid.

The players chose the song because they vibe with it.  Stupid fans don't get to choose,  vote or comment on what the players hype song is.

I don’t think anyone has ever complained about McD against rookie QBs. Kind of a weird victory lap to be taking.

Exactly.... I hope that I am wrong but I know for certain that the Ravens are going to give our D a fit next week.   No one on this board expected a rookie qb to travel to OP and dice up any D.

I bet if they loose next week there will be less sarcasm on this board.

Conversely,  if McD and his Defense can be good next week and get a W,  I believe that this JA17  led offense can and will win it all.

    We are on to Baltimore.

    GO BILLS!

  12. I was a huge McDermott supporter until the 13 second meltdown.   My biggest problem is that there was no accountability  publicly.   There very well could have been internally, but I think that in this day it would have leaked out of the locker room.

Now in 2024, I am very skeptical of his ability to :

1).  Provide a defensive scheme that will result in 3 straight playoff wins.

2).  Provide adequate game management through the same 3 games.

I am confident that Josh will have the offense under control and score enough points despite the lack of a WR 1.

I expect the Bills to win today at home,  I do not expect that the Defense will be able to stop Baltimore in the Divisional round.  I hope that McD and Babich have a better defensive strategy, but I don't think it will be enough stop Jackson and Henry.

To his credit,  McDermott and Babich had a great scheme against Detroit.

Yes I am a Bills fan.

No I don't care if you disagree with my opinion.

Yes I am hoping the Bills win.

Yes I am open for debating.

No I will not respond to thoughtless responses or name calling.
