Poyer and Hyde were unusual, extraordinary pair of safeties who together were able to bring to Bills value other safeties could not. If you are not going to get that value best to spend more of the money elsewhere and spend less on safeties.

It's much smaller and my understanding is the land price (which has yet to be released) is not included in that $1.5B figure.
There is no land cost for new stadium since they are using parking lot of old stadium and then going to use old stadium for parking.

Floyd, Epenesa, Settle, Phillips, Jones and Lawson.
You have got to think at least one or two of these guys come back.
Floyd will not be back for less money.....he has no loyalty to the Bills as he only played here for one year.
Epenesa and Jones will be interesting to watch because I am sure the Bills would want these two back on team friendly deals, but they could probably command more money elsewhere....we will see what is most important to them.
I would put Settle, Phillips and Lawson in a category marked "back only if the Bills want them back"....I think Phillips and Lawson are good depth players who are "Buffalo guys" and would want to be back.....they also bring much needed attitude and energy to the defense.
In the end, I think the Bills will end up signing DaQuan Jones, Phillips and Lawson.
What do you think??
I think some will come back after training camp having handshake deal with Beane to be resigned later without having to attend training camp.

If by "backyard birding" you mean shaking my junk at the neighbors every morning, I've been "backyard birding" for years.
So your neighbors think the chickadee taking roost in your yard is cute.

Super interesting, but I bet those "hard to reach incentives" were attainable in Von's eyes, which is why he agreed to it.
If it is based on number of snaps yes for many on defense line will not be on roster and he will be competing against draft picks and minimum salary players.

What a terrible deal. He was a liability last year. Personal fouls incoming.
He got a lot better later in year when he was more accustomed to defense.

But he saved themmoney decorating his own office and bring in his own staff there.
New England has lsrge cap space and they should hiresign him.

He at least got some grudging respect from me after he went on and on about how great it was to tailgate with Bills Mafia before the Chiefs game, and guzzle drinks at the Big Tree (after having also consulted with none other than Fitzpatrick before his visit)...
Did he not do commercials with Fitzpatrick?

Okay? In over three decades as a business owner I never once told an employee that they couldn’t use a single day of accrued vacation, sick, or emergency time. Not once.
My wife regularly cannot use her vacation time for there is no one to replace her because school system decided to not fund substitutes allowing superintendent to meet his fiscal goal and receive his bonuses. She has been taking it this year an hour now at my insistance to two a week at end of day when she got her work done and her assistant can close the kitchen.
For me I had reserved two weeks in Hawaii at Christmas time and paid for hotel / airfare AFTER I sent notice that I was taking vacation and received approval in writing by my supervisor. At end of year was told that primary customer was holding exercise and the customer said I needed to be there. I was told that it was important for team spirit that I go, It was implied it would negatively reflect on my annual review if I didn't.
I asked if they would refund my airfare if my wife was willing to go without me. No. I asked if I could get exception and be able to carry my time off to next year since I was at cap. I was told no. I told them I am planning on going on vacation and they would need to find a replacement.
Thank you for being a good employer.

I knew the Fins taking Tua as their draft pick was a big, big mistake for them, however, as long as he is in our division, it's going to work out well for us.
Bama coach did not recommend him to his buddy in New England. He took Mac Jones instead. Not sure if he was recommended by Nick Saban.

Business in general is cold man. I left my old company in June last year and then found out like a week ago they fired every remote employee (which I was) the week of Thanksgiving last year. My old boss called me to tell me I got out at the exact right time
I was on disability and was contacted by HR giving me two weeks notice for work for Verizon Business was being moved to India (significant portion of work was unclassified but for department of DOD). I told them that when you are on disability it is against rules of disability and law to do any work while you are on disability (they had before tried to get people to work reviewing documents and answering questions while on disability). They needed to wait another week to give me notice when I returned from disability. I got to office and most of people were gone even though they were supposed to work last two weeks; maybe they used vacation or sick time i don't sign contracts).
Had one big issue on final Friday and I told customer that I would need to have someone handle this issue next week since I have put my hours in and today was last day. Customer insisted it needed to be handled today so I said I'd send email to manager but she rarely read emails Friday evenings.

i talked to friend who used to watch Bills at Grevey's during K-Gun era. He suggested it is time to hold an Irish Wake.

I had a turkey vulture on top of my gazebo on my back porch facing the 2.5 wooded acre lot behind house.
No dead animals in my yard that I know of so I am assuming it was looking for a flat raised spot to rest while looking/scenting for food in wooded acre lot.

He will sue.
He will prevail in court.
But he won't see much of his settlement money. You can't get blood from a stone. It's a long shot that whoever hit him has insurance that will cover this. Even if they have insurance, it's likely to be only half a million or less.
They may be also trying to sue the rental company who rented the vehicle which hit him.

By Bills releasing Nyheim Hines the Bills are giving him ammo to his legal team will pursue legal action against those he believed were responsible for the crash that injury impacted him financially.
He made significant impact on special teams and because he was traded mid-season he did not have time to be integrated into offense.

I hope not. Not time to add expensive contracts. All it takes is one injury and significant part of cap gone.

Is anything being done about injury prevention?

I know Bills are building a new stadium but I think they should build a new practice field so less impact on players while practicing meanwhile.
