  1. Yep. We all knew that losing Shwartz for Rex was a "were doomed" prediction, and until now its true. Im a Bills Giants and jets fan so i knew what Rex was bringing and i was pissed. Then Whaley made huge off season moves that gave me hope....then the defense drop happened and I was like "!@#$ i knew it" now were stuck with rex and gonna lose all our good players to wasted seasons or them wanting to go to better teams.

Did you star in any of the commercials of Jest fan who changes uniform when team is not doing well?

  2.

Yes the difference is the banks give you your money back anytime you ask. The government makes you fill out a form and you can't fill it out until the beginning of the year and have to get it to them by the 15th of April.

No banks do NOT ALWAYS give it back whenever you ask. We had a large amount of money in Discovery Bank which only has online banking; we could not log in one day and called and found out our online bank access was "closed" and they could not explain why - there were no usual notations on account (i.e. death, customer request, etc) and they could not explain WHY it was closed. Their suggestion was to open a new online account and after it was approved we could get access to our money; we told them since our account was closed without our consent we wished for the money to be wired to another bank and they refused and would only mail a check (regular mail) and when we asked what happens if check never arrives they said they would need to "investigate it" and put funds on hold. We finally decided to open a new account and in only transaction we transferred all of the money out of our account. We got multiple messages from bank asking why we were unhappy with their service

  3. You gotta wonder if the recent rule requiring teams to spend so close to the cap was referred to as the "Ralph Rule" around the league owners. Kinda like Megan's Law, or the Brady Bill.

No the Ralph Rule for NFL is looking carefully at contracts with NFLPA - ""if you think you've gotten a good deal from NFLPA, first count your fingers, then your limbs, then your relatives".

Read the section in article where author, a media member himself, describes NYC based media:

I tended to understand Lynch’s aversion to the media as Super Bowl week wore on and a cabal of writers stationed in New York City decided that they would gang up and force Lynch to speak—basically round him up and make him sit there and take questions. I had one esteemed media member—a friend and colleague—basically explain it to me as the media’s divine right to have players bow to the media’s needs. I heard another colleague tell me that I was considered for the cabal but was rejected because I wasn’t black, and thus wouldn’t “relate” to Lynch as well as someone who was.

I left that media session slightly nauseous, wondering to myself, “Who the f--- do we think we are?

  5. Why Major League Football thinks it can succeed this spring

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/14748865/major-league-football-new-spring-league-begins-taking-shape

We know we have to walk through the ashes of the leagues that have come before us," Chandler said. "This has taken years of planning. We didn't want to rush to just put a product out on the field or to launch a league. ... I've been a part of three startups: the WLAF, NFL Europe as well as UFL. I've seen the good and bad, including the USFL, and the XFL, the FXFL -- all that have gone before us."
  6. The Jebster was rooting for Bronocs because Peyton wrote his campaign a donation.

    http://www.foxsports.com/buzzer/story/jeb-bush-south-carolina-rooted-for-denver-because-peyton-wrote-him-check-021116

At a campaign stop in Mount Pleasant, S.C., on Wednesday, Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush told the assembled crowd that on Super Bowl Sunday, he was rooting for Denver to beat the Carolina Panthers.

Although he was surrounded by supporters (video above), it took some cojones for Jeb to disclose the reason for his rooting interest -- because Peyton wrote a $2,700 check to Bush's campaign last August.

  7. It most certainly is about recognizing that the coaches miss utilized him because it destroys the entire reason he and the other D-linemen were being paid so much money to rush the passer. Two hundred and fifty million or 28% of the payroll was miss-used this past year.

This is same BS you have posted before - $250 Million dollars was NOT mis-used because that is the cost of all the contracts IF all of the years were included and all milestones reached not a single year AND since Mario appears to be going to be cut he will not get all of the money in future years either.

You post like you are a mob bookie with two sets of books and you are mixing them up.

I agree and its good to know that somebody out there other than myself gets it. I kinda feel like its wasting time writing this stuff because most fans here either don't buy into it or would rather ignore it.

It IS hard to write good fiction.

Didn't a Panthers DLineman get an interception during the Superbowl because he had dropped into coverage?

Stop including facts into this facts-free discussion!

Yes. And Von Miller did in the AFCC against NE.

Again this a fictional account, you need to stay on topic.

  8. Did anybody ever do an official count of how many times Mario Williams was singled against a RT and could not beat his man? It seemed like the entire season, although he had to deal with chips from TE's and RB's now and then like any NFL DE.

My unofficial count is 75% of the plays he was asked to play the same role as he was the previous year, beat the guy in front of you, pressure the qb, push the pocket, stop the run, try to anticipate the screen play.

He plays the screen's excellent, as good as Kyle. Other than that, the dude was invisible.

This whole whining about dropping into coverage (like the play in the superbowl where Peyton got picked by a dropping DE), is getting overblown.

The nice thing about Mario's situation is someone will pick him up and we'll see if it was scheme or player.

I think it was the player, but as long as he goes the the NFC I'm rooting for the big fella.

Exactly; when Darius got new contract I think he thought they would restructure his giving him more money lengthening it and they didn't so his attitude changed. His goal was to end season healthy and get a new bonus.

  9.

Speaking at the time the bridge was built, Nichola Thomas, 34, who lives near the bridge said: "There are more pressing issues that the council could be spending money on.

"I find it absurd that they have spent such an obscene amount of cash on this."

I am sure the quoted would rather money be spent on something useful like his bar and bookie bills.

  10. No, Mario wasn't great this past year but how could you expect him to? Mario Williams is a pass rusher!! Denver didn't have Von Miller cover Demaryuis Thomas in the Super Bowl. Telling Mario Williams to cover a RB/TE/WR is like telling Steph Curry to post up. You don't take a player out of his element and expect them to be great!

But he had plenty of one and one situations which was surprising considering Kyle Williams was not playing and did nothing with them. It is not like he was dropping back to pass every down but occasionally he did it as part of an overload blitz.

  11. Even Portland, San Antonio, Dublin, Los Vagrants, Toronto, Sinney and Los Jaguares del Mundo get into it.

Buffalo Bills 33, Philadelphia Eagles 17
Feb. 13, 2028 - Virgin Galactic Stadium, Mexico City

Chad Kelly finally delivers championship-starved Buffalo the title that eluded his Hall of Fame uncle, Jim. After throwing for 315 yards and three touchdowns, Kelly addresses reporters in freestyle rap. Philadelphia quarterback Robert Griffin III throws for 260 yards, and Nelson Agholor catches two TD passes in the loss. Halftime performer Jon Bon Jovi is booed off the stage by angry Bills fans, still outraged over his plan to buy the team and move it to Toronto.

Can not believe Kim Pegula, NFL's commissioner, would ever approve that half time show.
