Anyone else catch the ESPN pre-game show this morning when they were talking about how physical New England's* DBs have played this year? On one play they showed a DB basically tackling the receiver ten yards down field with no flag, while the assembled talking heads congratulated them on how successful it's been. Ditka did, however, get in a "and sometimes they cheat just a little" dig at them....
Ditka can say that since he is retiring and does not have to worry about powers-that-be firing him for that remark.

When I was way younger. We had a sledding hill called Dead Man Hill roughly where the Bill's old Maintence building is. Well Promo go down the creek side of the snow hill.....
Grandmother lived on opposite side of creek from where Stadium is, California Road I think. We used to tobogganing there too.

I saw a report on TV about a police dept. I think it was in Austin TX that has instituted mandatory training for its officers to prevent shootings as much as possible. But not shootings of people, shootings of dogs. They said when a dog gets shot their switchboard crashes from all the calls. That does not happen when a human gets shot. So basically people care more about dogs than other people.
Maybe more people in Texas should be shot?

Maybe one of the scalpers who buy blocks of tickets from Bills and never use them themselves will have sold them to Jest fans and now those fans are screaming for refunds.
I feel sorry for those fans who already paid for air tickets, etc to game and now will be losing all that money. I had that happen to me with Katrina and airline refused to refund tickets.

Yes because it does not snow in downtown Buffalo.
Actually it is due to the hot air of the downtown Buffalo stadium opponents.
I have walked thru snow 3-4 feet deep in downtown Buffalo and you need to wonder where all the snow will be moved.
If it is side lots those are the places people are planning on tailgating and if not they need to move snow too.
Some seem to have no idea of history of snowstorms in Buffalo area.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if Cuomo has a press conference and says that we should use this storm as a reason to pass stronger gun legislation. People don't need guns to hunt deer with when there is too much snow to go deer hunting anyway......
Or opponents say we need looser gun control so gun owners can use their semi-automatic pistols to shoot snow flakes.
Keep the discussion in the PPP forum where the flakes belong.
The dome idea would have little to do with this storm, but the decreased seat sales and revenue in december due to weather. I love the retractable roof idea as the Bills can decide week to week what they want to do for each game.
A retractable roof idea will not work with snow fall we have, it will not handle the snow weight.
The only way a dome or other such model works is for it to be made with a steel web type top with either mechanical panels or other type of panels which can be removed and stacked in part of roof designed to hold them.

It was never my intention to offend anyone here, if you like an open air stadium, so be it. It will cost a billion dollars for 5 months of use per season. That my friend is a total waste of Money. This is like buying a $100,000 Mercedes for use 3 hours on weekends only, SEPTEMBER thru DECEMBER

I always thought Buffalo had great summer weather the 20+ years I lived there.
And that still avoids the fact that a 4 foot snow fall overnight will collapse a dome.
What is needed is a roof which will cover most of the top but leave a hole in top above field but slant snow and rain away from top but inside and outside stadium. Hard to describe and searched for pictures of stadium I saw I think in Europe. Hopefully this gives idea, The concept is it piles the snow along the outside and inside rather than spreading it out with outside snow generally packed harder due to weight of snow and inside snow cleared partly from heated field, Spectators are protected from the elements.

If you are not convinced by now that Buffalo needs a DOME........... the SNOW Gods will drop another 3 feet in Orchard Park sometime today as a reminder.........BUILD A DOME STADIUM YOU DUMMY, THIS IS BUFFALO NEW YORK, NOT TAMPA FLORIDA.
Explain to dummy that a snow fall like thus occurs once in 40 years and such a snow fall will probably collapse the dome making it unavailable to be used for the game. Now if dummy wants to pay for the new stadium or the PSEs the new stadium will require and subsidize the increase in parking lot costs, etc go for it!
It is not being a dummy to have a different opinion regarding stadium for Bills but IS being one to call someone a dummy if they do not agree.

Toronto would make the most sense.
Toronto makes as much sense as any neutral stadium.
Call Hawaii and check if Aloha bowl is available; at least it will be memorable for a different reason.

Maybe the storm will shift and prevent airplanes from landing in Buffalo/Niagara airports forcing the Jets to come by bus and use their lines to shovel a path to team hotel and stadium.

Use of a rope as a tie around your neck is a popular fashion statement. Make sure you tie it tight when you jump out window so you do not accidentally hurt yourself hitting the ground.
