  1. I've never seen so many "fans" hoping for a player's failure. Kind of strange. Be it Fred or McCoy what's with all of the ill will?

Fred groupies think if Mccoy fails it will prove how great Fred is or something crazy. You see, they like pointing to the fact that the bills kept him over lynch and spiller and they think it actually has something to do with Fred instead of the reality that spiller (and lynch's attitude) made lynch expendable and the bills didn't know how to use spiller nor did they want to pay him too much...although they offered him a fair deal that would have paid him more than they ever paid fred. I guess my point is that it's just people being out of touch with reality when it comes to fred.

  2. If Freddy shows up another star running back, he will become legend. I hope it happens! Fredex delivers!! Forever, and ever, amen!!!

It will be great news if our 40 million dollar rb sucks so bad that a 34 year old guy with one 1,000 yard season to his name starts. Basically, u are saying you hope for zero production this year out of the rb position because u know he won't magically go for 1000+ yards all of a sudden when he hasn't been able to do it in several years. U Fred groupies are something else. I hope he is cut so we don't have to hear about this crap anymore.

  3. Dixon didn't get retained when Roman was his OC in Frisco and Brown didn't show me he was that great last season. I just hope Freddy can hang with the team. I think his leadership should not be undervalued and of course he can block and is still a very good receiver out of the backfield.

Why should it not be undervalued? I'm dying to know why his leadership is so important. Does everybody quit if Fred isn't there to motivate them? What actually changes if his "leadership" goes away?

  4. FJ will be a fine rotational back. Can't carry the rock full-time anymore, ut can give you big gains when you need them - great patient runner with excellent vision and a great blocker...

I'd keep him over Brown or Dixon....

    Powell sucks...

That's crazy. He is basically ready to retire and you would keep him over other guys that have more potential. I'm glad you aren't running the team.

  5. Yolo, did you delete your comment about upstate NY driving you nuts because you realized it was stupid? You do realize that pretty much everyone calls buffalo upstate ny, right?

And to the people bitching about the perception of buffalo's weather, you do realize that the weather in Buffalo is one of the worst in the country, right? Pretty much everyone thinks buffalo is terrible. Everyone I tell that I came from buffalo says, ugh...I bet you are glad you moved here. It's what people think of when they think of buffalo.

  6. In 2011, Fred was ProFootballFocus' #1 back overall, and #2 in receiving backs to Ray Rice. McCoy was #20, Spiller, #13, Boobie #80, Bryce Brown non-existent.

In 2012, Spiller was ProFootballFocus' #2 back. Fred was #104, Bryce #137, and Boobie #83.

In 2013, McCoy was #1, Fred was up to #18, Bryce up to #49, Boobie up to #68, and Spiller down to #137.

In 2014, Fred was #22, Bryce up to #27, CJ still down at #130, and McCoy was #146.

    Who's done?

All you have to look at is your 2014 line to know you either terribly misinterpreted something or that the numbers are way off. Fred and Bryce top 30 while a 1300 yard rusher is 146. Come on...think through something before you post it.

One can only hope that we are done with fred. He has nothing to offer. the heart that everyone always raves about is the most overblown statement I have ever heard.

  7. Everyone on every channel is saying all the Eagles got was a LB who had a bum knee last season and that is was crazy that they received no draft picks, "What is Chip Kelly thinking?" The Bills fans are all thinking Whaley is an idiot. I am hearing things from Bills fans like we had a superstar and that we are getting a player on the decline. Since when do we deem players superstars after 1 season. In my opinion his play tailored the last 1/3 of the season and then he got hurt. I am not 100% but I think he had surgery on his knee in college too. I get that many fans fall in love with players but we still have a top rated defense and our offense which was pitiful just improved considerably. We landed the superstar!!! Even if we only get 3 or 4 years out of him I would do this trade all day long. I am glad Whaley doesn't listen to fans and their hearts. He made a great move and this should be just the boost we need to make the playoffs. If Mccoy was here last season we would have been a playoff team even with Orten. Now lets get Locklear and let him battle with EJ for the job. I'm ready for some playoffs. excited!!!

It's because they like the legend of kiko crap. People are obsessed with kiko for this reason. All he really did was have a great start to his rookie year then he tailed off considerably and missed all of last year.

Anyone with any football knowledge whatsoever knows that a premiere running back has a better chance of taking over a game than a linebacker. Our defense didn't miss him last year. It is a great trade.

It is clear that Roman wants a great running back for his offense. He leaned on gore for all those years.

  8. @Nick_Mathews: #Texans star Andre Johnson, the No. 3 pick in 2003 and No. 9 in NFL history in receptions, asks to be traded or cut. http://t.co/VreuGTvz0Z

@McClain_on_NFL: If no trade can't be worked out for Johnson, he'll be cut and free to sign with any team after 12 seasons with the Texans.

@McClain_on_NFL: Texans gave Andre Johnson permission to seek a trade. Told him he'd have a reduced role next season. He asked to be traded or cut instead.

I think the guy can still play. He's a class act and would be "vet" addition to our young WR core. Red zone ...

Out of curiosity, how much time per day do you spend looking for tweets and articles that may have a teeny tiny bit of relevance to the bills? I am guessing 10-12 hours per day?

  9. For those of us who like to make a decision and stick with it without a cushion, I don't want to vote in your wishy-washy poll. It is 0%. I don't want a useless 20% cushion.

The other poll that you are clearly upset with was so much better. It's just a stupid poll so try being decisive...isn't that something we all want from EJ?

  10. Well it is true some player Egos get in the way of truth. If he doesn't remember his Colt days already then it might be a bad sign for the Bills.

He is an experienced player now. He couldn't get on the field as a rookie in indy. Why would he think that he hasn't developed over the past couple years into a productive player? don't you remember all the reports out of training camp last year about how Hughes was the best player out there? He has clearly worked hard and it is paying off for him.

I bet you used to think Steve Johnson was only good here because everybody in the league was so terrified of the great Lee Evans that they left Johnson uncovered.

  11.

BS. Brady once he took over hardly ever "let it rip" which is what you would be suggesting with the whole "confidence out of the gates"/"turnovers might be higher". Each path is different, there isn't a mold for how a QB becomes great - it develops and they grow into it.

The majority of what tends to kill a QB is not early slides, floaters or check downs but more often than not a blindside hit that completely derails their patience (happy feet/seeing ghosts) in games or one that costs them an injury that they never truly get over - the list of those types of QBs AND players is endless.

I will say the one thing I agree with all the EJ doubters is that he plays scared.

OK whatever. Brady may have been conservative as a first time starter, but you might be the only person on the planet who thinks he didn't have confidence. There is a major difference between the way Brady played in his 2nd year and the way EJ played in his 2nd year. Brady was a winner from day one and he made key plays when he had to.

I also really don't know the difference between playing scared and lacking confidence.

  12. I tried not to be vague with, "Do you believe that EJ will be a franchise QB?" You either believe that he will become one or your don't.

Not sure I understand the confusion. Seems like a pretty simple question. If you stuck a middle ground in there, it would/should win by a landslide. I think people just like to whine about everything.

Regardless, the answer is of course not. Ej has zero confidence on the field. Franchise qbs typically show significantly more confidence out of the gates... turnovers might be higher early in their careers, but the tentativeness will kill you every time...just ask trent. The early slides, the floaters, the constant checkdowns, etc.
