He got hurt here(ankle put him on the IR in Carolina), he got hurt there (achilles kept him from playing in NO), retired, tried coming back(calf), and retired again.

It might not have anything to do with McCoy giving Mr. Timeout a gut check, but about half way through this video Jared Alleds opinion on hitting the ball-carrier cracked me up.

Could it be lack of talent at DB, what about the bend-dont-break mentality we seem to have, maybe its us not having any pass rush, could it just be that we're DOOOOOOMED?
A win is a win and until we start losing on blown coverages and/or horrible games by the secondary, they should keep at it. Its been great watching this team on both sides of the ball for the most part.

Redhook has a pretty good IPA imo, Dogfish Head, Sisters of the Moon(NC),and Smuttynose. Also if you're in NC grab a Natty Greene's and always support your local brews. That being said, there isn't many beers I'm not a fan of outside of the dirt cheap. But ill still drink a Genny(not cream ale) here and there for that ole' Buffalo taste

If you have made the assessment that he is about as bright as a empty glowstick from the plays he makes (or fails to) then you must have never listened to him speak. That is almost as ugly as his play. There is a reason you never see a video of him on bb.com anymore. Another guy on our roster that I hope figures it out but.....

Its kinda nit-picky, but the names of the dinos is one thing about the show that imo sucks. Also, I was really expecting them to take a while to get to the Land of the Lost(I guess it was a 2 hour premier), but I guess you can't expect every show to try and develop its story and characters. Oh yeah, and for all the people in line for the portal it sure didn't seem like their camp was very populated. We'll see what happen with episode deuce.
In other news arrested development is coming back. I never watched it but do know quite a few people that enjoyed it.

That was my first thought when the rule change was made. If you've got the guys that can and will make plays for you on your coverage team, then let them do it, and give the opposition horrible field position.

I had a chance to meet him when I was living in Port St Lucie, FL. While I was working one day a guy comes into my store (a friend of some sorts) and notices my Bills hat and ask me if I had heard of him, long story short after seasons end Corey Mac came in and gave me a picture and signed it(I guess it was his only career carry)and shot the breeze for a few. Pretty cool dude and one of the 2 Bills I've ever met (that I can remember). Thomas Smith was the other, he was my neighbors brother, brother-in-law or something along those lines when I was a kid in Greensboro, NC.

I wont be buying into the "I was trying to call a timeout". The officials probably charged the time out because Billy wouldn't shut his trap after the no touchdown call was made. If anyone should be blamed for the Pats losing, it should be Chan Gailey and the Buffalo Bills (followed by Brady, BB, etc). I just hope in the next game we can actually get some good hits on Brady.

Truth. We hear about how Brady was just unbelieveable lighting it up, not how Miami's D apparently couldn't stop a nosebleed and how San Diego choked themselves by turning the ball over 4 times, 3 times inside the 35 for 17 Patriots points.
Some interesting statistics on D:

On O of course we know the Pats are leading the league in YPG by a wide margin (563 to our 422.5). But that's almost the same gap (reversed) in yards allowed per game.

Bottom line: Brady has been soaring high, but the Patriots defense is vulnerable. They do stiffen on 3rd down though.
Hopeful's Keys to the Game from these stats:
1) Ball security. Don't turn it over. Fitz: don't force it.
2) Ball control. Convert 3rd downs. Keep the ball. Win the TOP battle.
3) Don't be dumb. Exploit the penalty gap
4) One lucky break - a critical 3rd down stop, a turnover we exploit, a blocked punt
Please note that blitzing Brady is not on the list. Don't mean to Dis us but I don't see the ability to cover M2M to allow effective blitzing of Tommy-Gun.
Pressure, I agree, is important but we need to bring it with 3-4 guys.
I guarantee if the Bills D doesn't show up at all or the Bills O turns the ball over 3-4 times, we will lose.
It won't be the Patriots win. It will be our loss no matter what the Talking Heads opine.
PS if anyone can advise me how to create or insert an actual table or tabular format here, I'd be obliged.
I'm not a big stat person, but I wonder where we'll be ranked after all the calls that will go against us in this game maybe 25th or lower.

The extra point at 6:36 of the Raiders game; how long did officials signal a missed extra point/field goal attempt with the bending knees? Every time I see that it cracks me up. Its like an old Jack Lalanne Workout Video.

I think its great having NGU and JW posting on here. It'd be even better if TG was still posting here and there but you know how that goes. I think with a track record like NGU's, until he starts missing the target with his comments (about the team)you can't really dispute much.
That being said you can't get your news from just one network. The internet doesn't care about your feelings. And most message board users are not typically politically correct.
On a side note, What is the attitude in the locker room? It is closer to drafting Andrew Luck, do these guys respect Chan/Nix and co, or do some of these guys just collect a pay check?

If Fred Jackson wants some more money extend and give him a raise. If he wants to be the "#1" RB then come out and say he is the starter. If he wants to wear D3 on his jersey let him. With the offensive unit we having going out week after week at least make one of the guys the fans like and want to see have what they want. We aren't going to win too much this year but at least keep one of the guys (Jackson, Fitz, S. Johnson, Dareus, Merriman, K. Williams, add who else you want) we('d) like to see happy and on the field wanting to compete.
STOP ACTING LIKE STEVIE LED THE LEAGUE IN DROPPED PASSES!
