What constitutes a "#2 WR"?  Because by any metrics you choose to use, Davis is squarely in the middle of #2 WR's compared to his peers in the rest of the NFL. Was last year and is even higher this year...I mean he is #27 in receiving yards this season, which is above #2 levels if we are considering there are 32 #1 WR's and 32 #2 WR's on teams.

I think what the issue is, is that we see a very few teams with high level, high pick WR 2's like Philadelphia, Cincinnati and San Diego(before Mike Williams got injured) and we assume EVERY #2 WR across the NFL should be putting up those numbers, but what people don't actually realize is that MOST #2 WR's in the NFL are putting up in the range of 600-700 yards in a season, which is a bar Davis easily clears.

We need someone to run the whole route tree!  (then we'd be bitching about not having a deep threat)

Thanks for uploading these. We all see it on tv but this hammers it home for those on here that don’t want to accept it. There are just too many long winding routes with him. Need a better all around guy.

But who else to we have to run the deep clear out routes?  Isn't that the idea?  Gabe can take the top off,  Diggs can do everything, and you have Knox and Kincaid to work the middle and stretch the seem.  A gadget jitterbug in Harty and a good receiving back in Cook.

I think our weapons are fine, as you can see with our big output games.  It is consistency that hurts us.

The only reason "Playoff Gabe Davis" happened was because he wasn't used much that year and teams really didn't prepare for him.  To say it a different way, it took teams by surprise because there wasn't really any tape on it.

Many of this have said the stuff Sims has said for a couple years now. Other people are just too blind cus stats bro.

    Please name 64 better WR's

Just because he’s putting up some numbers because we have Josh Allen and a productive offense at times doesn’t mean he’s the 27th best wr. I wouldn’t put him in the top 50 that’s for sure.

Putting him in the top 27 would make him a #1.  To not be a number 2 he'd have to fall out of the top 60.

    It's such a dumb argument.  No, he's not a high end #2 but he's certainly a #2

Sometimes people get all "lolchiefs" until they play in their home stadium in the AFCCG for the 100th year in a row.  Figured you should just get that out of your system now.

I said that they had poor WR's not a poor team.  I even agree with the team build.

An interesting contrast would be the Phins.  Absolutely loaded at the skill positions but have a terrible defense.  Chiefs could still have Tyreek but it would be at the expense of maybe Chris Jones or the revamped oline.

Man, the Chiefs front office must have no idea what they’re doing.

I don’t necessarily hate the Chiefs approach.  It’s basically the Brady Patriots plan.  You have a beyond elite QB that you expect to elevate the pieces around them.  Use your remaining assets to build up the line and defense.

But they’re really testing the limits of that strategy…. So dependent on a 34 y/o already banged up TE as their only true weapon.  I guess they have tried to build up the WR corps with draft picks, but unless this Rice pops off, none look like hits thus far.

7 catches for 60 yards takes Trent Sherfield 6 weeks to get lmao. and if you think that’s being just me trying to be witty, that’s actually his YPG average.  You only think there’s no substance because you don’t understand the math.

You’re the one who asked if we had proof that Jeudy or Sutton was better than Sherfield.

Honestly, one of the worst takes I’ve ever seen on here. Up there with “I believe in Nathan Peterman/Jeff Tuel.”

Jeudy has amassed his pedestrian production with all the opportunity in the world as the supposed #1 option.

Jeudy is obviously very talented, as shown by his draft position, but something doesn't seem right there.  My guess is that he doesn't have the intangibles to be great.   Maybe he thrives with a change of scenery, who knows, but for better or worse he doesn't strike me as the type of guy the Bills will take a shot on.

Sutton just doesn't separate very well at all.  He can make some nice contested catches, but he better because they are all contested.

  8. I'm getting visions of last year.  We went all-in on pass catching RB's- tried to sign McKissic, signed Duke Johnson, drafted Cook, traded for Hines.  We were even rumored to be in on trading for McCaffery.  All of this to never throw to the backs.

Now this year it's all about the TE.  Knox has a nice contract and we draft a first round TE to go along with him.  All this talk of 12 personnel and the mismatches it will produce.   Again, all to never throw to the TE's.

There seems to be a major disconnect between player acquisition and player usage-especially on offense.  You would think that Dorsey would be communicating with Beane on the groceries to buy.
