I was wondering that myself. Maybe Marrone wanted to see more of the defense but that clearly wasn't a 1st down and should have been challenged

When Moats knocked out Farve,....Tavaris did a pretty good job of cutting us up. Very strange he didn't suit up last year with the backup QB we had at the time.

Fitz was a below average QB who looked good after the Edwards'Losman debacle. I would have liked to see Gaileys offense work with a above average QB.

...Some players play better than practice..ya never know..Don't get me wrong..I'm rooting for EJAll this Tuel talk is ridiculous. Before the scrimmage there were posts speculating that he wouldn't even make the team because he looked pretty bad in practice. A few nice bombs and now people expect him to challenge for the 2nd and even 1st string jobs.

..Soo..your commenting about a week of wgr listening w/o having listened to it?Finally. This so right. Bulldog has been, and is a total joke as a host no matter who he's paired with. How he has lasted so long is totally amazing. It's like that idiot at work who keeps getting promoted and everyone just shakes their head.
I heard Sal a year ago when I last listened and wasn't impressed. The best thing he has going for him is that he's not the typical GR guy.
Like I said, I stopped listening a year ago (with the exception of Murph's play by play) and I know for a fact I haven't missed a thing.

yes..Bulldog is like one of your buddies talking Bills FB at the diner...and Mike is the kind of smartass that by the time you've finished your coffee your thinking about how nice it would be to kick his ass.
Anyway..The OP was right. This past week was very enjoyable listening. JMO

..you're absolutely right..I have enjoyed this past week of listening.Does anyone else think Bulldog sounds more relaxed on the air with Sal C. than he does with Mike Schopp? I mean when I listen to him and Schopp he stammers and gropes to make his points. All this week the guy just lets opinions roll out freely.
I'm starting to wonder if Schopp intimidates him.

Good post!!Pump your breaks. His cap hit, while large, is actually structured quite well. We need him on this team. If we were to cut him this year, no high profile free agent would ever sign with Buffalo ever again. Not to mention he makes us better on the field. With his contract people expect him to break Strahan's record every year, which is unrealistic. 10.5 is a huge season for most. I'm willing to bet he betters that this year now that Wanny's Vanilla has melted into Pettine's neapolitan.

The bottom line is the kid's got some talent unlike other backup QB's we had since Reich. How he progresses will be very interesting to watch.
