I know people are saying the police don't have enough but don't forget Hernandez can just bail himself out and the longer they wait to arrest him the more chance something might break in their favor. That would up the Bail amount which is what I think the cops are doing. I mean he isn't going anywhere.

Glad you said that. Byrd was responsible for 10ff and recovered 5 of those. Also 10stuffs for 41 yards. Yea he was in on the run MANY times even though he was 7+ yards off to begin with.
He gave us 23 turnovers in the first 4 years here. That is 161 points for the offense potentially. 23 drives stopped cold.

He's not earning more than $6.9 M this season, that's the only fact you need to know. You can spin it anyway you want to make yourself feel better but it's how it'll play out.
Don't change what we want to know. This isn't about the money, I am trying to figure out what makes you think Byrd isn't that good.
The pass D was ranked 10th last year, Byrd has 18 INTs in his first 4 years on a team where other teams don't have to throw near him b.c the rest of the team is bad.

I don't think you actually know the facts TBH. You sure haven't used any to support your statements. I have at least tried to do that.
I am looking and only see you say Byrd hasn't played well enough to be even #7 in the league, and you think a guy who played corner and rookies who also never played safety in the NFL will just be plug and play. Yet you never provided proof. This isn't about money, we can't even talk about that b.c you think Byrd is a scrub for some reason.

If you include potential pay versus performance the past 3 years, there's many more than 7. Byrd wants to be paid as the top fre safety in the league, even though he's played on horrible defense. I'd like to see him shine on good defense, then it'd make some sense.
Lol Byrd played better then he was drafted. He played great and no injuries, yet it's his fault the guys around him just weren't good or were over the hill...
If anything you blame the franchise not the only player that gave you everything he had week in and week out. Think of how bad it would be without him.

Mitch seems to think that anyone can be plugged into Safety.

Ed Reed also had 9 in one year they also both had a year with 1 in that 4 year stretch. Reed only played only 10 games the year he had 1 due to injury
Don't forget though Byrd's 10FF compared to Reeds 4.

Everyone seems to want to try to compare Byrd to a HOF(he will be first ballad) Ed Reed. The kid has played nothing short of great in his first 4 years here even with a lousy supporting cast.
So I wanted to look at the first 4 seasons of each.
[Reed] (Byrd)
INTs Reed-22, Byrd-18
FF/FR Reed-4/2, Byrd-10/5
Total Tackles Reed-269, Byrd-308
Stuffs Reed-17/0yards, Byrd-10/41yards
This should be noted Byrd played 4 more games due to an injury with Reed in his 4th year. Byrd has yet to be injured.
Reed has always had the better defense around him no one can argue that. As we all see Reed has more INTs then Byrd, but Buffalo's problem has been the run which is why Byrd has more FF. Reed has 24 turnovers and Byrd has 23. They are both very sound in their tackling. In Reeds first 4 years he took 2 turnovers in for TDs, So has Byrd.
This doesn't mean we give him the world just some people are writing him off b.c they don't think he is good, or we can just plug in another guy. FS is a strong position when the QB is getting pressured, it is the FS that benefits from it most. This team has gone through so many defensive changes 3-4, 4-3 vanilla, and now a 3-4 hybrid, while Reed has gone through a very consistent defensive scheme.
Thanks for reading. I know people don't want to overpay and their are two sides that need to talk not just one, but don't write this guy off b.c you don't think he has done much for us b.c that is a lie.
I hope a deal can be made or at the very least he signs his Tag, either way we need him to be out there with us.

I love CJ Spiller, he can add to every aspect of our offense. Did you ever hear the cheer for him? The half the stadium screams "CJ" and the other half screams "Spiller". I would love to hear that in the stadium.

With or without him, Brady will find a way to torture us.
He has had a hard time in the past with the Bills. Hopefully we have a QB that won't give the game away almost every time.
