  1. They doubled down the next year, by not getting anymore QB's.

It's strange that no one sees this. The only way to ensure you don't hit on the QB lottery is to not play.

Gamblers fallacy-- your chances of acquiring a franchise QB do not, in fact, increase with every QB you take, as each pick is independent of the one prior. The answer is simply not "hey, let's draft as many Quarterbacks as we can, maybe one will stick." What IS the answer is solid scouting, and building a proper environment for a young QB to step into. Believe it or not, there are other positions that have to be addressed on an NFL team.. I do realize that the QB is the most important piece.

Pray tell, how was Carr's rookie season any better than EJ's? I will give you Bridgewater-- I was also of the opinion that the Bills should have traded up to take him but NOT because I felt that taking another QB would increase our chances of hitting. It's quite possible that Bridgewater could regress, or he could take the next step. Tough to say after one year.

  2. Thank you Kelly. Some day when you get to college you'll understand that a professor wont allow hit and run answers in a debate. Its considered intellectually lazy.Calling other people dumb and troll are easy but most people would enjoy reading you trying to substantiate your views. I usually don't waste my time in dialogue with posters that are limited to name calling but today I thought I'd try to help you because you seem like you need it. Have a nice day Kelly.

Exactly, your opinions only require four words at most.Think about that.

Calling other people dumb and troll *is easy

But go ahead, continue to talk about college...

  3. The better question would be does Fred have any trade value or would another team want a 36 yr old rb.

How is that a better question?

You want to trade the leader of this team?

Glad you're not making decisions for the Bills.

Yeah ha. Give Bryce the same carries and catches. It wouldn`t even be close to old dead legs Fred. Oh he blocks so well ,maybe he can gain 75 lbs and be a guard.

"Old dead legs Fred" led the Bills in rushing last year and directly contributed to wins. Bryce lost a game for us with his fumble. Stop with the crusade please

  4. F_____ the Jets.... I'd give them their old coach back if I could.... The stench of failure is still clinging to Rex's flabby body...I'm just hoping we tank the season bad enough to get a shot at Cardale Jones... If not Jones, then perhaps Kevin Hogan (Wacky throwing motion and all.)

You want the Bills to tank for a guy who hasnt even played a whole season in college football?

Brilliant. I wish you were hired as the Bills GM. We'd truly be going places.

  5. What makes you think I care what you define as a "Bills fan?" By my definition you're not. So what? I doubt you or Buf. Barbarian will lose any sleep over it.

I don't consider either of you real fans. Yet I have a feeling you'll both survive just fine.

Let us sabotage this thread by arguing who is the bigger fan. That sounds like a great idea.

I didn't realize being a Bills fan meant that I couldn't support or approve of any other player in the NFL. Ahh, well, darnit, I must hate Russell Wilson for going to a hospital every week, because he's not on the Bills!!!!!1!1!

  6. What I understand is it's a domestic dispute, he didn't kill her did he? No. Was she afraid for her life yes. Maybe the Pats pk him up and he becomes man of the yr.

Can we just... I'm having a tough time following this logic. Especially the first two sentences. It's seemingly okay for her to fear for her life at any given point in time. Yeah, Greg Hardy isn't that bad. Those cheating Patsies are going to make him an All-Pro!!!!! Jokes on them, we're going to sign him to a 6 year deal!!!! Ha take that Belicheat!

  7.

We have a premiere pass rusher. Mario Williams.

And with Jerry Hughes we have two.

But going back to your point.. You'd rather invest in a TE with a history of concussions who isn't a proven fit in the system we are going to run? How do you even know Julius Thomas will be available? Who would you choose after that?

With Jerry Hughes you know what production you are going to get and the guy is only going to blossom. In my opinion, signing him keeps this defense elite.

Don't even get me started on how asinine large contracts for guards are

  8. The only thing that makes me ok with him leaving is that if he did say we'd probably have to pay him $10 million or more a year. I'm ok with a slight drop in talent at his position if it means we use that money on a position of need. $10 million a year is a lot of money. We could sign one of the best guards in the league or a TE like Jordan Cameron or Julius Thomas for that kind of money.

Sorry, but id rather have a premier pass rusher than a TE or guard

At least Chandler is serviceable and we can find decent guards in free agency. Tough to do that for ends

I think we end up targeting TE in the draft, maybe more than once, and guards in free agency and then work to retain our players like Hughes

  9. No. Don't play EJ the rest of the way. That way, it'll be a long way back to the Houston game and maybe other teams will forget like the OP that he doesn't belong on an NFL field and we can steal a 6th Rounder from someone for him.

Oh, acquiring that sixth rounder for a 1st round pick who has played less than one season (14 games) will be very beneficial. the last time we got a sixth round pick we traded for Mike Williams!!!! Championship!!!!'

  10. Actually its not esp, when you have seen the same **** for what 18 years now? Yes many fans these days can tell if a guy is going to be worth a damn or not. The NFL wants you to think its some big assed deal, when in fact they out think themselves most of the damn time and spend millions to do it.

"well if you know so much why are you an NFL scout, GM blah blah blah". Um its a good ol' boys network. It doesn't matter what you know, its who you blow to get jobs there. And if you can't tell I am not great at kissing ass and I am not blowing anyone. Besides, who says any of our scouts were really sold on EJ? Scouts get asked opinions and over rode by GM's all the damn time.

But, to sum up, yeah its not that hard to see EJ has the same issues as in college and try as he might, drink his milk, read his playbook, say his prayers, Little EJ is an average Backup in the NFL at best.

So now you're a self-proclaimed expert on NFL scouts and GM's?

I think you need to go in timeout. You're having your temper tantrums again. Mommy won't give you milk and cookies until you behave and learn to stop screaming like a child.

  11. None of the teams with which we'll be competing for a spot with have easy schedules either. In fact, I think most of our direct competitors can't do better than split.

Take a look at the Raven's remaining schedule. I agree with you to an extent but I can see the Ravens completely winning out.

Fact of the matter is, if this team wins 2 games, they could make it- unlikely, however. 3 wins gives this team the best chance possible.
