I know it's a tough decision to accept but I do trust McBeane on this. Sammy did not fit the culture they're trying to build. He complained publicly to the media about his targets and talked about raising the bar for receiver contracts. That's not the type of player McBeane wants here and he has injury issues that are possibly going to creep up again.
We're going to play ball like KC did yesterday I'm guessing. Run the ball, short passes, go deep a couple times a game. It is a recipe for success and we save a ton of cap space since we don't have to pay Sammy that money. Depending on how Jordan Matthews and Zay Jones do I think Tyrod will be fine.
And there was that time Sammy trashed the "little people" fans, to boot. Kinda glad he's gone.

Baseball has never been the same for me since Yankee dominance has ended.
It's been WAY better.

You know what screw it I'm rooting for the Chiefs, don't care about draft position I refuse to root for the Patriots
If me rooting for the Patriots was the only way to avoid nuclear war - well, we had a good run.

What an off season. I cant believe I miss Rex.
Said no one ever.
-
Gm better know what he is doing in the draft though.
Wouldn't that be a novelty?

What's like a chess match? Groin surgery?
The game of chess is like a groin injury, you must think first before you move.
this is going to end well for the bills.....with tyrod starting day 1 of regular season 2017.
anyone want what they saw vs jets ?....more of EJ, Cardale, rookie, washed up vet ??
Jay Cutler plz

KGun, did you know Whaley got a contract extension this year?
as in the Bills' chances of success contract further every year he's the GM.
-
I do believe in his abilities though, and think he is our best shot for short-mid term success
It's simply not possible that he's a better shot than Cutler. Either way, not a long term solution, of course.

Swap Buffalo and Baltimore. Move Miami to the South. Not sure if Indianapolis would be the best fit for Miami's spot. Whatever makes sense geographically.

If you replaced Nick Saban with Jim Harbaugh you would be right
That's where I thought the OP was going with this.

I know an NFL HC job is an NFL HC job, but I wouldn't even have first thoughts on taking this job unless they massively overpaid me and I had little self-confidence.
-
The current logo is tired, and the standing buffalo one is worse. I'd like to think a complete uniform branding overhaul and house-cleaning would kickstart the team but I doubt it.
-
I don't believe Sammy is a bust either. On any team with consistent QB play this wouldn't even be up for discussion..
So really we should say giving up a 1st rounder for a WR when you have EJ Manuel under center was a bust. I called it a stupid, irresponsible move the day it happened and nothing's changed to dissuade me of that opinion.
-
Sammy's pretty good when healthy? Not when he doesn't get the ball thrown to him! Trading up for him was a brutal move.
-
speaks to how the players are just generally unprepared.
They DID fire Rex already, right?
-
Has Rob now set a record for most franchises being fired by? Seems like it.

Buffalo Bills @buffalobills now9 seconds ago
Rex Ryan has been relieved of his duties as head coach. Anthony Lynn will serve as interim head coach.
This Christmas just keeps on giving. Both of the Ryans needed to go, but the GM needs to follow them out of the door.

Not my money, but my team and I don't care to see them make idiotic moves.

I know I'm crying over spilled milk now, but this is what frustrates me so much. Every team lost. Next weeks game could have put them in with a Dolphins loss and a Ravens loss. The Titans lost, The Broncos are going to lose, the ravens lost, etc. I'd feel less kicked in the balls if the Ravens won. Its beyond frustrating.
I know it's important to break the streak, but let's not pretend they would get past the first round.

What do you think about acquiring Romo?
Romo or Cutler would be a step above TT, obviously. But the question is what is the gameplan? Believe we're close with the roster we have, with a few tweaks? Or blow it up and start over?
-
I don't love TT but I love TT vs. 2017 QB options. I'm willing to be married to him for the next 2 years (which is basically what you are doing). The offense is working at the moment. They score points.
Not to change the subject but the defense is a much bigger concern. Brown, Gilmore and Alexander are free agents. Aaron Williams may never play again. Kyle Williams and Corey Graham may have to take pay cuts. On top of all that the defense is regressing. I'm much more concerned with "how do we solve that peoblem" than anything else. I don't even have suggestions.
The O is working DESPITE TT. 24th in passing TDs, 1st in rushing TDs.
TT is not a starting QB. I know the 2017 options aren't great, but they're not going to take any significant steps forward with him behind center.

relocate to Miami

It's a no brainer to pick up his contract. The only people that don't think so are the few on this board we already know aren't smart or are trolls.
The guy who isn't smart is the one with Tyrod Taylor and EJ Manuel as his QBs. Clock's ticking, Doug.

2nd and 12 inside the 30 in overtime and we run a reverse to Reggie Bush. His first carry in how many games?
Literally the worst playcall I have ever seen in my life.
Wait, he's still on the roster? Why?

Remind me what the point of getting Benjamin was if he's only targeted 3 times, while the RBs and TE get 10 targets. Pathetic.
