Thanks, Eeyore.
Just being realistic...you silly old bear
-
Nobody in here is shocked by this. This is just what we expected. We are destined to end up with Whisenhunt. If you guys get your heads out of the clouds it's pretty obvious. Same old bills
-
I question the sanity of leaving Manning after one season.
Because McCoy is being viewed as a genius and he needs to bank on this new found success before they figure out that he is a fraud. 1 good hit and Peyton's career is done. Then where will McCoy be?
-
I like how his name sounds and he does stuff. Let's hire him!
-
Also, I cant seem to shake the thought that the reason they are doing all of their interviews in Arizona is because, come Monday, they're going to fly back with Whisenhunt in tow.
I just threw up in my mouth a little bit

Excuse my ignorrance, what's Buffalo Chips?
POOP

If we get Whiz without Horton I'm going to flip out. Bringing Horton with him is the only thing that makes this somewhat appealing. But I have a feeling that Horton will get the Arizona job because nobody else wants it
-
Let's face it...the Bills HAD to interview Chip to appease the fans. Could you imagine if they hired Whiz and didn't even try for Chip? Everyone would be furious and say it's the same old Bills. Now they can say "well we tried!" and hire their guy anyhow. As for Chip, the more teams that want him the better. Now he can tell the Browns this afternoon how bad the Bills want him and demand a higher salary and more control on personnel. It's win-win for both sides...but the FANS are the losers here in believing that we actually had a shot at him

Super depressing. I've never heard such negative criticism of Lovie before. He was my favorite pick as HC assuming we could pair him with a good OC, but now I'm not so sure
-
That might be our only hope to end our drought
-
If we get Lovie I think we get urlacher and Hester too
A friend spotted Lovie at the Big Tree earlier today. I didn't realize he was in town
For real? First I've heard that. Isn't all of our front office in Arizona? Not sure why Lovie would be in buffalo
-
Can't believe how fast they were able to get down the field to score. They said that's their 24th TD this season in less than a min! Definitely the anti buffalo offense. I cringe every time we get the ball to run the 2 min drill because I know we will have a 3 and out and the other team will end up with enough time to score before the half
-
Anyone else getting cold feet now that there is a chance that this could actually happen? I don't think most of us would have thought this was even a possibility but now that it seems to be down to 3 teams (and we are honestly better than both of those teams) it looks like we have a realistic shot at landing Chip.
I'm all for innovation and trying something new, and I know he is the hottest coach out there these days with a lot of hype, but honestly this is would be taking a HUGE risk. It could either turn out great and we will change the game forever, or it could turn out really really horribly wrong. There's a much greater chance that it will be the latter.
The safe bet would be Lovie if we could pair him with a good OC. Whiz with Horton would be a safer bet as well. Or do we bet the HOUSE and put all of our Chip's on Kelly? (see what I did there?)
-
If he brings in Horton as his D coordinator I like that combo more than Lovie and whatever Offensive coordinator he might dig up to bring in...
I think Whiz + Horton is better than Lovie and his current staff of coordinators, but did we just burn the Whiz + Horton bridge by interviewing both of them for the job? I don't think either one would want to come along as the coordinator after we turn them down for HC
-
This would be a done deal if we thought Lovie would be able to pair up with an OC to get the job done. But he hasn't been able to find one. Is there any scenario where Lovie would take a job as DC or is he HC or bust? Some coaches would rather not coach at all that take a coordinator job but there's also some that just love the game and want to work no matter what
-
If we end up with Whisenhunt, is there any scenario where Horton comes along as DC? That would be the best of both worlds wouldn't it? We want Horton's defensive mind but we don't know if we want to take a chance on him as head coach. Or since we interviewed Horton for HC will he not want to be DC if he doesn't get the job? If we can't get Horton as DC then we definitely don't want Whisenhunt. This needs to be a package deal but I'm worried that we ruined that by interviewing both of them and basically pitting one against the other
-
Chip Kelly will end up in Philly. He's got Vick there. I can't wait to play as them in Madden!
-
Put your chips on chip hurrrrr
-
I think they should build this new fictional stadium next to the Bass Pro and the new peace bridge. Our waterfront is amazing
-
If Whisenhunt brings Grimm and Horton with him as coordinators then I can see that being a good package deal. I see a lot of guys saying Lovie but who would his OC be? That would be the biggest piece of the puzzle missing there. Instead of just looking at a HC we have to look at the whole package
-
Lovie as HC and Whisenhunt as OC or Lovie as DC and Whisenhunt as HC (not my first choice HC but that seems to be how they are leaning regardless)
-
When was the last time a top coaching candidate expressed an interest in coming to buffalo? I'm going to barf if we end up with whisenhunt when we have a proven winner like lovie basically begging us for the job!
-
Please, nobody from Arizona. That would be a step backwards. I can't believe that's their first stop
-
This movie would go straight to DVD me thinks
Chip Kelly HC! (possibly for the Browns)
