McCown sucks and is an obvious DOWNGRADE from Orton. The numbers don't lie. EJ was a 3 yr project when they drafted him so cutting him after yr 2 makes no sense. This is nonsense and is going to hurt Leroi's credibility on this board if proven false
-
I appreciate Leroi passing along his info, but in that scenario McCown would get cut. EJ and Locker would easily beat him out. McCown is a 35 yr old trainwreck of a backup. I'm not an EJ fan but I know he is a competitor and would outplay both of those guys enough to win the job. McCown is a joke and always has been

Man what a bust this guy was in Atlanta. He looked like a beast in STL. RB's just don't last in this league anymore. Shows how great of a career Freddy has had for us
-
It is interesting how good his numbers were in 2013 with the Bears, and how bad they were in 2014 with the Bucs.
His numbers were bad in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 too

Rex is skinny now so don't expect any big splashes

You are the one that sounds confused. Tuel isn't on the active roster so why would we upgrade our practice squad QB?Funny, I thought we were in the market for a veteran backup to upgrade from Tuel.
Perhaps you're confused about what this signing is about.
They need to bring in QB's that will be better than EJ Manuel not worse
-
The only people that seem to like this are people that think we are getting McCown AND Sanchez or Locker or another veteran free agent. We aren't! They will get 1 veteran and draft 1 late round rookie project and that's it. This is horrible. They are handing the starting job to EJ essentialy and then McCown is the backup plan. I hate it. They dont want to admit EJ is most likely a bust. We are too good of a team to be playing these games. Get a real QB in here please
-
I would rate Sanchez, Hoyer, and Locker all above McCown. The difference being those guys are all starters and McCown is a career backup. So that just shows the Bills plan on starting EJ and then have a veteran backup available for when he fails rather than actually bringing in competition like what they said they would do. This stinks

Who is the young QB Tennessee is invested in? Puzzled?
They like Mettenberger. I can't see them going for the top QB's because they need so many other players. Maybe they would go for someone in the 2nd or 3rd
-
2-5 have young QB's they are invested in. I think it's the most likely scenario that Mariotta falls to 6. The question is does a team try and trade up to get him if he falls out of the top 5? Rumor has it that Philly is ready to give up 4 picks to move up to get him. Probably 1st this year and next year and maybe even the 1st the year after that plus another high pick
-
Why not just have robot refs that never get the call wrong?
-
I think 1 game is plenty so that means he will probably get 2
-
I don't know what's scarier? The Jets getting Mariotta or trading their pick to someone like the Eagles and picking up multiple future 1st round picks as compensation. A trade like that could net them a ton of talent in the next couple of drafts
-
I liked when they had "the Coach" on back in the day. There's a bunch of fired Bills coaches from the last 3 years, anyone available?
Marcellus Wiley and Tasked have made it big in TV. I'm sure there are other platers that would like some experience in media. Sign them up! Reuben Brown does well on Shredd and Regan. I'd like to hear more from him on wgr
-
love it. he is really embracing the rich history of our team. and hopfully he is about to add to it
-
is he
A) snorting something
B) talking into a microphone
wiping a booger on his Armani suit
-
It's one play.
it's a symbol of the unceremonious fall of the Jets franchise from AFC contender to the laughing stock of the NFL. putting him back with Rex just brings up too many bad memories.
having said that, Sanchez is better than Hoyer, McCown, or any other of the free agent QB's imo. but I would much rather swing a trade for a Bradford or Foles. both look like they will be available (for the right price)
-
butt fumble
-
Wilson has gone on record saying he wants to play baseball too and he's going to camp with the Texas Rangers this year. Of course he wants a fully guaranteed contract. Then if he makes it in baseball he will be able to do both or walk away from the NFL completely
-
Get Bradford and get AP and with this defense we would be the team to beat in the AFC overnight (OK maybe not but we would be right up there with the Pats finally). There shouldn't be a price that they shouldn't pay to make it happen. We have all of the pieces except a QB and a legit RB
-
DO IT!!!!!!
-
i tried to quickly look it up...has Rex ever won a division title?
Nope Pats win it every year of course. Since 2003 the only other team to win it was the Dolphins surprisingly in 2008. I think that was the year Brady got hurt
-
Bradford is the starter if they somehow got him. Anyone that thinks otherwise is mistaken.
-
I'm guessing Rams want more.
Do an incentive based deal. 3rd this year and maybe a 4 next yr. If he is our starter for the whole year then that pick becomes a 3. if he signs an extension with us then that pick becomes a 2. i'm sure they can figure something out if they want to make it happen. if the Rams are considering this then they must know that he is not their guy going forward and he probably won't be back next yr anyhow so better to get something for him rather than nothing
Is EJ a franchise QB?
