How the Buffalo Bills managed to not draft a franchise QB in any of those drafts. Most teams in the NFL are stockpiling QBs. (Seattle, New England, Minnesota, San Francisco, Denver, [side note: Denver had Tim Tebow then picked up Peyton Manning, Tim Tebow already took them to the second round of the playoffs, which is far far more than ANY Bills QB over the passed 12 years has done for us]) Buddy Nix absolutely needs to be gone. How somebody can be so dull in free agency and also over the passed 3 years fails to draft ANYBODY that could take over this team is beyond ridiculous. If any of us failed at our jobs the way Buddy has over the last 3 years we'd be gone! The Patriots have Tom Brady and looks like they will have Tom Brady for the foreseeable future and they still drafted Ryan Mallett in the third round. Not because they needed him, but because HE SHOULDN'T HAVE STILL BEEN THERE IN THE THIRD ROUND! Granted the Bills took Kelvin Shepherd with that pick but given the current state of our linebacker situation I think I would have rather had a POTENTIAL franchise QB than 1 decent linebacker. I say potential because he has never had the chance in New England. Bud I digress. I could go on with similar situation in Seattle (Matt Flynn, Tavaris Jackson, then they draft Russell Wilson). San Francisco (Alex Smith, then they draft Colin Kaepernick[side note again: which if I'm not mistaken was a second round pick after we took Aaron Williams]).

You forgot to mention how Washington got not 1 but possibly 2 franchise QB's in last year's draft! And like you said, we haven't even had 1 guy since Jimbo (who at first didn't even want to playfor us)

You guys are sippin some kool aid. In round 1 there will be 3 qb's taken...in the first 8 picks! Just watch everyone go QB crazy like last year

The reviews on Nassib are all over the place. Some guys have him as the 4th or 5th best in this draft and then Cosell has him #1. I don't think anyone knows what they are talking about

backup QB is the best job in sports. think about it...you make millions of dollars for doing nothing, there's not a lot expected of you so when you go into the game and do good you are a hero, you don't have the pressure and scrutiny that the starter has to deal with, and you can retire healthy and without brain damage from numerous concussions. sign me up for that!

lol clearly he meant niagara county but sure north carolina can pay for it too if they want. it's like Western NY Jr down there. i went out in charlotte with a friend of a friend and i met like 10 people from Buffalo or Rochester, no joke, and I know of plenty from around here that live in the "Triangle" area now as well. what was so great about NC that you guys all flocked down there? i've only been once but I sure couldn't figure it out

That's what they want you to think. The truth is Brandon has been running things for years IMO. Their big press conference announcing him now running things was just a marketing ploy. He's been in charge for years and running this team into the ground. I think the Fitz contract was his doing and what a mistake that was

How about right ON Niagara Falls? Have one side of the stadium be glass like in Dallas and out the windows you see the falls. We would get a Super Bowl for sure with something like that

Well said. But I disagree with the "hate on Losman" part. I never understood that mentality either. He didn't draft himself in the first round, and it is entirely possible that the Bills ruined his career. Hate on the people responsible for drafting him in the first then ruining him (if indeed they did).
You don't remember how cocky he was then. Didn't you see the special on ESPN where Losman said HE WAS THE BEST QB IN THE DRAFT? He specifically said he was better than the likes of Eli Manning, Ben Rothlesberger, among others (Phillip Rivers, Matt Schaub, etc). The hate for Losman is still strong and for good reason

Fitz is regarded as the best QB free agent there is. He will have no problems finding a solid backup job. He is a streaky player so he would probably make a great backup like a Frank Reich. Good in stretches but not a starting QB talent

I agreed with you until you said that. There's no way Geno AND Barkley make it out of the top 10. The Cards have already stated they are high on Barkley too. I hope they get him, I don't want himand Barkley is also a guy you can trade back into the first rd to get while holding onto the 8th pick,,,,

wow this could have gone really bad for either GM. luckily neither of them retorted to smack talking any of their players. Nix said Fitz is making too much if he ends up being a backup, which is fair. He could have easily said the guy was a joke and signing him was the biggest mistake of his life. whoever did this prank is going to wish they didn't post it online. it's a federal crime and the fbi will probably be on their way to their house soon

there is absolutely no way the Bills don't take a QB day 1. fans would go nuts. Nix is desperate and everyone knows that. If this was like poker then unfortunately he has shown his hand. If their guys are gone at 8 I wouldn't be surprised to see something like what the Broncos did to get Tebow where we trade away our whole draft to go after someone late in the 1st

We had some qb's with good athleticism and arm strength and that didn't turn out too well for us. But id be fine with Geno. Please not Barkley though. I hope the rumors are true and Arizona takes him

If true, another takeaway is that Buddy is now willing to trade picks for a QB. This from someone who was adamant about not giving up high picks to move around on draft day in years past. Last year it was breaking the bank on UFA and now it could be trading draft picks.
Nix has not traded a high (1st-3rd) pick for anything during his tenure as GM. I guess they're getting desperate.
Exactly. Nix is DESPERATE to get a QB. Typically when you are desperate like that you end up reaching. There's nothing scarier to fans than a GM that is desperate and has nothing to lose

All signs point to the bills not thinking Levitre is worth the kind of cash he's looking for. Marrone is an O-Line guru so they are probably thinking he can coach up who we have or pick up someone in the later rounds of the draft

just read that the Raiders are strongly pursuing Flynn now that Palmer came out and said he doesn't want to play for them pretty much. I think Flynn going to the raiders would be awesome news for us because then they won't need to draft a QB. at that point only the Jags and Cardinals might grab our QB but I just don't see either of them needing a QB that desperately, so it looks like we might actually be able to get our guy this time
