Indeed.good for you.

Cap per nack will fit this circus well. If they bring him in I will boycott the Bills for life.
-
Why would he? He is handsomely paid with a lot if guaranteed money. He should have never had that contract after his first couple years if Tom foolery. Too funny. The circus travels on.

Great post Cover 1. These Tie Rod posts are getting nauseating .....

Bandit, I am not slinging mud at you directly, but you said it yourself. We threw the ball less than any other team in the league. You pretty much summed up our QB. He lacks the ability to do much else other than pick up yards with his feet.Cute.
I suspect you know this, but the passing game ranked 30th in YPG...which is pretty common when you throw the ball less than every other team in the NFL for 2 consecutive years. How does this debunk the notion that Tyrod is the best option from the current players on the roster for this team in 2017? FYI, they also ranked 20th in YPA, 19th in passer rating, and 22nd in completion percentage.
Guess which of those numbers matters more than points scored? I suspect you know the answer to this as well.
And again I'll ask: what makes you think that Peterman is a better option for this team in 2017? Furthermore, where did I say that Tyrod is a stud? Actually, I'll ask you to do me a favor: take a step back from slinging mud, read what I actually said, and then tell me where you disagree with me.
Thanks.

Your cute as well. Your argument still doesn't pass the sniff test. The passing game was STILL ranked 30th overallCute.

your agenda sucks. why don't you repeat it another 500 times.
what's funny is you all defend Tie Rod like he is a perennial All-Star/Playoff winning QB.
Perhaps...but to me, he looks like a guy that's a ways off--which is all I'm really saying.
I wouldn't have a real problem with that unless he was in the same situation as Jones last year--where he's simply not ready, and throwing him into the fire would do more harm than good (which is where I believe he is now).
1. No, Tyrod doesn't suck. Not by any metric that you can find...but feel free to show me why with more than just your opinion.
2. Don't attribute made-up arguments to me. You've never seen me say that Tyrod hasn't looked lousy this preseason, or that it doesn't matter because it's preseason. Debate the actual point being made as opposed to simply tossing out straw men to suit your fancy.
3. It makes less than zero sense to get rid of a QB that's had a record of 15-14 and lead an offense that ranked 7th in points scored last season (save for after the EJ debacle in Week 17) because you simply don't like the guy. I don't think there's anyone on this board that believes he's great, or even capable of winning in the playoffs; he's simply the best that this team is going to do for 2017.
Ok, Fancy stats. Where was our Passing game ranked? How many playoff games has our stud QB won? hmmmmmmm. The stats below are what count. Can't wait for the "we lead the league in rushing" argument. That is because our QB lacks the ability to stand in the pocket, read a defense, or make short to intermediate passes. He is a one trick pony that should have converted to WR.
Our passing game was ranked 30th....30th......

Hahahahhahahaha. Hockey season can't start soon enough.
-
Not yet, but please feel free. Enlighten me. You're saying Peterman can only be evaluated in the exact same context as Taylor? And any other means of comparison aren't valid unless he's playing under the 'same circumstances'? Can you not see how that's a dumb argument?
Peterson has two weeks of NFL experience, Tie Rod has 7 yrs. There is no comparison. The rookie obviously knows how to play from the pocket, and read a defense, and work through progressions. He is already light years ahead.
-
When you have a player you can a) make him play how you think he should, or b) play to the player's strength and put in a position to succeed. If you are going to insist on making Taylor be Ben Roethlisberger, and get rid of all his familiar receivers, then just cut or trade him now. Let him join a team that will use his strengths. Obviously the Bills are too smart for school.
His strength is that of Kordell Stewart, how did that end? He is a one trick pony. There is a reason why other teams were not interested in his services, and he was forced to take a pay cut.

wait .... is jm2009 Donald Trump?

I think peterman could be very successful in this kind of system. However I would hate to throw him out there week 1 when he's not ready and see him shell shocked the rest of the year. From a passing game standpoint peterman is the guy. However this is a running team and the offense goes through shady, the read option gimmick will be helpful and peterman should not be running that. . Tyrod and his escapability are needed especially with how the O line has looked so far on passing plays
good point, throwing him to the wolves would hurt him if he isn't ready.
-
Because some people actually forked out money to go watch their team win this year.
Its easy to turn the TV off when you are home. It is not easy to throw away tickets that you paid thousands of $$ for.
Yep.
Suckers.....
Holy Poo Poo, the voice of reason!!!
2 years isn't enough?

with his legs. Tyrod throws a decent long ball, but he is not consistent. Peterman is taking consistent shots down the field. 9 completions for 155 yards, TT 8 completions for 53 yards. That is not down the field.
Typical Tie Rod numbers, then garbage time he hits a long bomb.
-
This is soo wrong.......... Should be everyone working not just one person.......... Beane is getting lower on my list. McDermott needs to know lots. Keep him in the shadow only things going to be much worse..
well, he is the GM. He doesn't have to consult the HC on anything roster wise.
-
Yet people wanted to start him over Tyrod just like people now want to start Peterman.
Tie Rod certainly lit it up in his first action

I am genuinely excited about the hires, and direction of both Franchises. I think the fact they both have a plan, and seem to be building accordingly bodes well for the future.Shaw great post and I'd say your spot on.
What excites me the most is for the first time in a long team it appears that the Bills have a plan. We are going to have several options at addressing the QB position next year.
If TT pans out were loaded with picks to build a winner and to your point its going to be with rookie cap friendly contracts.
If we have to go in another direction we can make a serious run at either Kirk Cousins or perhaps Jimmy Garopplo. and again the Bills are loaded with Picks to build a team around them.
Or this Bills can package their stock pile of picks and try to land Darnold, Rudolph, or Rosen.
Dare we say the Bills just won the offseason by setting this team up for the long haul???
Great post Shaw.

Abso-damn-lutely.
The Bills lost two capable players and brought in two capable players.....all the while adding draft picks.
Out !@#$ing standing, Pyle!
What this guy said.

Really? He has trouble reading the D, and checking out of bad plays. Cannot throw over the middle, his timing is terrible, and he panicks in the pocket. Oh, and he is a run first QB, he should have beem converted to WR six years ago. I believe I stated the same two years ago. He reminds me of slash from Pitt. That was a train wreck.Reasons?
Biggest reason of all; he does not have the ability to put the team on his shoulders and win when needed.
-
Does Peterman not remind you more of Rob Johnson than Doug Flutie? It's like he has the physical traits of Rob, with Doug's personality and brains... Maybe he's what we need to break the curse!!! It's kind of like how Hank Jr blended old style country music to rock n roll...
I think he will be a very productive NFL QB in time.
