  1. I'm not sticking up for the crappy attendance at the Rams game Sunday but the stadium blows and is in the worst part of town. The Chargers don't even play in a football stadium. When they move into their new stadium, the Rams and the Chargers will sell out every game for a few years. Then and only then will we know if the city will support the teams.

The stadium is terrible, not suited for an NFL game. It is much better than when they had the Rams, and Angels sharing a stadium before they left L.A. last time.

  2. So you think you saw a terrible loss? Terrible clock management? Terrible quarterback play?

    Fine. Check out now.

If you think the Bills are heading for 1-15 based on what you saw today, there are 31 other teams to choose from. Buh-bye.

The last thing I want anyone to endure is watching inferior football for the next 15 weeks, so just give up now and learn to be a Pats or Packers fan.

I saw a gutsy team come that close to winning a game they were dominated on offense.

I saw a team keep MVP Cam Newton out of the endzone, twice from inside the 10.

I'm going to stick around and see where this team can grow. The rest of you can just check out.

    Thank God, Hockey starts tonight....

The D did a real nice job. Cam Newton is coming off a freshly repaired rotator cuff. That is what kept the score somewhat respectable. He missed a few wide open shots in the end zone.

  3. The game was was in Tyrods hands to win it and he couldnt throw a catchable ball to a wide open WR. Yeah. The coachs fault. Was it the coachs fault the def gave up 0 TDs while playing the entire game?

Same song and dance. I have said it time, and again. He cannot put this team on his shoulders and win.

Why is everyone being so mean in this thread???

    It's football, for God's sake!

Let's just all agree that Tyrod is horrible and get along moving forward!

The Tie Rod fan club won't allow that to happen.
  4. Taylor wasn't very good overall, but this loss falls directly on the coaches.

Even still, the Bills were a dropped TD away from winning a game they had no business winning. It was a lot like the Titans game a couple years ago...except without the clutch catch near the end.

It wasn't a very good throw by Tie Rod.
  5. He used the middle of the field more, which was good to see. Got the ball out quicker, which is good. Used the TE more, which is good. Used his mobility to make plays, which is good. Missed some throws, which isn't good.

I know it isn't going to happen, but these Taylor threads should be stopped at some point. He did some things yesterday that he's been criticized for, like using the TE more and going over the middle more. Yet that is not recognized by some.

He is what he is, a very athletic, mobile QB that has some deficiencies in his game. Criticizing him for what he is, is kind of dumb after a while. Brady doesn't get criticized because he can't make plays with his legs. That's a big part of TTs game so why say that's wrong? Use that skill, and keep working on other parts.

Luckily the Jets LB corp is terrible and the coaching staff exploited the fact, and the line gave him time to throw. We shall see how well he uses the middle of the field against a good team.

  6. i would say there are many, many games where tyrod and the offense did their job, and the defense and/or coaching staff let them down. however, i would also say that i have seen tyrod's limitations as a qb completely hinder the team by not gaining first downs/scores when needed, and given the opportunity. love tyrod as a human being, but i have serious reservations about him as the team's qb. peterman may not ever be more than a backup, but finding out would be a lot mor fun than treading water in another 7-9 season.

I can agree with your assessment.
  7. Forget the Practice Squad, Brandon Reilly should make the active roster.

He's made plays in the limited time he's seen this preseason.

I also question that fumble they called tonight. Looked to me like his butt was on the ground before the ball came out.

I've been more impressed by him than guys like Dezmin Lewis, Philly Brown, and even Daikiel Shorts.

Agree, he has looked impressive this pre-season.
  8. If 50,000 violent Skinheads all somehow bought tickets for a game and were waiting outside the Bills stadium (for accuracys sake, I will assume theyre Bills fans) with brass knuckles and barbed 2x4s, and the NFL had no time to switch venues, then maybe youd get an empty stadium. But even then, Im skeptical. The Bills tailgate lot basically looks like Mad Max: Fury Road these days, and they still let everyone in.-Deadspin

So now the skinheads don't have rights, and freedom of speech. Black lives matter, and ANTIFA get to express their views. Jesus pick one.

It's the National Anthem. Stand and show your respect. It's not a time to call attention to yourself or whatever your individual cause is. This is probably the only time you will hear that guys name other than on the cut list. If you don't know what to do during the National Anthem look at Eric Wood in the photo.

I swear if any Bills player doesn't stand for the National Anthem and the team does nothing about it I will not support this team any longer.

    Who is with me?

I just don't understand why the National Anthem as a platform? The flag is to be honored for those who fought, and died for our independence, and this who continue to fight, and die for this Country.

Honoring those brave men, and women is not the time to further your agenda.

But then again; I am a white, 20 year, 3 combat tour veteran. So what do I know.

  10. I feel bad for you all that actually spend money on this product.

I don't disbelieve the OP's story or that a former player might think that.

But at the same time I don't see how a former player (who isn't dealing with McD any more than we are), knows something we don't. Being his opinion is fine, but I just don't value anybodys opinion on the matter and am willing to let it play out.

That's from someone who is very skeptical about the return we have gotten from recent trades (myself). Fact is, we don't know how it will turn out, but I respect the honest attempt at a legitimate rebuild. Too many half assed, win-kinda-now-but-still-rebuild years and need a real foundation if we want a build something big. Overzealous, cap cuffing, "big splash" signings are a thing of the past and that is refreshing. I am going to "trust the process", but I might mumble and groan along the way.

I agree, good post. All we can do is let it play out. It is clear they have a plan. We have to give it time to really judge the end product.
