He's not wrong though. Its a big concern for many. If Cassel or EJ come out and Have an "EJ V Houston" type season, none of this will matter. You may not like that, but until either of those QB's prove that they can at least be efficient, its a huge question mark.

notice how you said EJ v Houston and not EJ all last year... if ej plays like he did vs Houston once every four games, like he did last year, we will be 12-4 because anything better than that will be good enough to win. btw IIRC we had the ball with a chance to win that game at the end

also not saying we will go 12-4, the defense will loosen up one or two games like they did last year probably (chargers). just saying no qb on our roster is bad enough to play to the level EJ played in the houston game ALL YEAR. too many weapons on offense to account for plus creative play calling; someone will always be open

  2. Get rid of one injury prone LB and keep another. Luckily we didn't need Rivers OR Alonso last year, because we won't have either next year, either.

wondering how a line backer who played every single defensive snap his team took his first year, and received a non football related injury the next year, is considered "injury prone"

To me it looked higher, and that the defender wasn't actively pursuing (depends on actively, seemed like a lazy jog towards the ball). That's not an engaged block, that's a hit on another player not expecting a hit, hence why I think it's a bit dirty. It may full well be legal, I'm not clear. "Dirty" is simply subjective, and I'm fine with disagreeing with others on it. To me it's either dirty, or very close to being dirty.

The Hughes hit, though, was no question dirty

you must have never played football or must have not been good. that scenario is what every football player dreams of. de-cleating a player who isnt looking. its not dirty, its part of the game. keep yer head up

No. EJ shouldn't ever see the field for us again. Cut his ass in the offseason, draft a guy worth a damn in the 2nd and let him sit. EJ has shown he does NOT have it in the NFL. Same issues in HS, to College now to the pros. Is issues you just can't change

To finish your post...."on another team"

With geno and vick being considered the worst qbs wouldnt that make EJ the best back up QB in the league? You want us to just cut the best backup QB in the league with a starter who is a statue, a tough SOB, but he cant move.

Even if we draft a stud qb I wouldnt mind EJ staying on as a number 2 for the next 10 years. Good escapability, doesn't turn the ball over excessively, will keep you in games, and about .500 as a starter. All solid qualities of a back up.

And that HS jab is BS..

  5. Best bet to win 5 more is beating the Dolphins, Jets, Browns, Raiders, and Packers. That would be 10-6.

this.. I would say KC and GB are similar odds but we have a whole week of prep for KC, so one of those two games plus the other must wins shud be enough.. if 10 wins doesnt do it then we are destined to never make the playoffs again

  6. to quote rich gannon I think he was calling the game.. "leodis mckelvin AND stephon gilmore are two of the best in the business"

no doubt leodis is playing very well this year and gilmore has been about average. it is the hardest position to play in the nfl these days, so I guess that makes them two of the best in the league?

  7. Definitely Hester, hard to argue that right now. Viniateri has made some clutch kicks but you have to have a good team to even be in that position.. bailey is technically the most accurate kicker ever right now so i would say hes in a position to make the claim until he screws it up.

As for the QBs Peyton will always have the era factor as an asterisk next to his numbers but when its all said and done he will have thrown for twice as many TD passes as Montana and probably hold every other record. Add to this the fact that he won a SB, despite losing several playoff games, he got the monkey off his back that guys like marino and kelly have. Hard to argue with that

  8. It's Gameday, and I am fired up. Got the uni on and heading to the first gathering of a brand-new Backers chapter I founded last week. There are a surprising number of Bills fans coming considering that we're in the heart of Redskins territory (Lynchburg, VA). My three kids are in their unis: Gilmore, M. Williams, and K. Williams. I've been a fan for a long time, and Opening Day is like Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas rolled into one. That said, if I offend anyone's delicate sensibilities with the following, I apologize.

F the News. F Sullivan. F all the Rochester and Syracuse writers who piled on the doom and gloom. F all the Negative Nancies who've followed this team for ten minutes and are calling for...well, anyone's head. Yeah, fourteen years is a long time and it makes me mad, too. But the people who jump off the bandwagon and act as though they're entitled...well, F them, too. I am a fan, and I am entitled to my opinion, but at the end of the day, I'm giving the football experts a chance to prove if they know what they're doing. If they do, we go to the playoffs. If they don't, we go 15 seasons and they get fired.

Time for EJ, CJ, FredEx, the Williams boyz, and Marrone to make a statement.

    GO BILLS!!!

    amen brother..

F bad boy as a staff record label and as a mof*ckin crew.. and if u wanna be down with bad boy, then F you too

tampa wud be wasting theyre time to watch more than 2 drives on film of the opening half.. its the same
