  1. If the Bills are picking 16 that means they didn't make the playoffs and it also means Taylor failed miserably. So I'll go ahead and say if that actually happens they will have a need at QB. If Chad Kelly is there they will take him in a New York Minute.

agreed. in fact I think we will do whatever it takes to get him regardless of where we finish, given that he repeats last years solid performance with out Treadwell

  2. I hate when people talk about the record saying things like well we beat two bad teams at the end of the year this year we shouldve been 7-9. And 2 years ago we beat NE so that was an 8-8 year... wait we probably shouldnt have beat the Lions that year either now were 7-9 two years in a row.

    NO.

You are as good as you record. Every year, no matter what the circumstances. The Bills were 9-7 under Marrone, pretty good. Then they droped ONE game in Rexs first year to average. Hopefully they gain a game or two this year. This isn't hard people

  3. ^^^ Because of how it impacts the defense. A 10 yard pass requires no extensive adjustment on the defenses part. A 10 yard run forces them to bring another defender into the box if you line up the same way the next play.

Especially in this age of football it definitely matters how the yards are gained.

  4. My thoughts for this week...

Bills will get their yards and points, the Steelers moved the ball at will and I think we can too.

Gronk will get his chunk yards because he is Gronk, but double teams will limit him.

This game will be won and lost in the Edleman vs Robey matchup. That is how they pick up their first downs, on 2 yd crossers. It will be a longgg day if Robey lets Edleman run wild.

  5. I thought shady was exactly as billed... great pass catcher and shifty runner who can get to the outside... hewill neverrrr power through someone but if hes one on one, even between the tackles he will make you miss.

he made a linebacker miss in the A gap and got about 10 if I remember, left his jock on the field.

  6. I think its clearly TT's job to lose. With that said, I think its a safe idea for the Bills to go into the regular season with all 3 QB's on the team. With Tyrods style of play, it is more likely than not that he will be injured at some point and one of the other two will have to step up. I still would prefer EJ starting over Cassel, who offers absolutely no upside or excitement with his play. Keep Cassel as permanent #2 and let him come off the bench in the middle of a game. Let EJ be #3 who gets elevated to #1 for the next weeks opponent so they can gameplan with him.

I like this a lot, it makes the most sense for our team. Especially with the first two opponents. We know with EJ or Cassel our defense will need to be on fire to beat Luck and Brady out of the gate. With Tyrods unknown and our weapons he might be able to win a shootout if need be.

  7. EJ looked better than Tears of the Clown did for the Browns. If we cut EJ another team will sign him to back up. Probably the Pats.

If the season started todat I would start TT until he gets hurt. Then I would play EJ until he gets hurt. Then hopefully Cassel going .500 will be enough to make the playoffs.

That being said I think EJ deserves the start next week just as a confirmation that he will be no more than a decent backup this year.

  8. I've been to at least 1/2 dozen other NFL venues, and none come close to the drunken buffoonery that exists in the lots prior to the game and in the stadium itself at RWS. Why these people continue to be allowed through the turnstiles is mind boggling.

says the man with the labatt name and avi haha agree to a certain extent but just kinda ironic..

  9.

Sure Bylsma wasn't Buffalo's first choice but that doesn't mean he's not a damn good coach. He got a lot of flack for early playoff exits but everyone has forgotten that MA Fleury was putting up horrendous performances in between the pipes. He was the main reason for most if not all of those series losses.

Just for the record it is Bylsma's run and gun system that allows his goalie to be exposed to odd man rushes, which is one of the reasons why fluery never put up great numbers. In the playoffs teams tend to figure him out because of the repitition. But I do like the hire, he was the best coach out there next to Babcock and the gap is narrower than some think.

Babcock wins one cup with a team full of stud veterans. Bylsma wins one with two stars and not much else.
