New Era received over $5 million in taxpayer money through PPP, part of the conditions of receiving that money is that you had to maintain our staffing and payroll levels.  They shouldn't be laying anyone off.

Then they will forgo loan forgiveness. Is that really worth it? Or do they furlough employees ?? My company while receiving PPP decided to give certain people raises to meet that 75% towards staff requirement, while furloughing most of the staff. There are ways companies are navigating the lack of business.

Making a person "sign a waiver" does NOT mean that it is "legally enforceable" in a court of law. His lawyer (or the lawyer for his estate) would simply argue that the waiver was null and void and unenforceable. Again, as I stated upfront, I am NOT a lawyer but this topic has been covered a lot lately in the news, in connection with Trumps rallys for instance.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/money.com/coronavirus-liability-waivers-business-reopen/%3famp=true

Its being done in other businesses. Can't see why it wouldn't hold any water in this situation.

Waivers, generally speaking (I am NOT a lawyer) from what I read are usually unenforceable in any event. The State, Erie County, The NFL and The Bills in particular would get sued up the wazoo if fans were permitted to attend games during the pandemic and then became ill or died. Football fans should be happy if there are any games at all in 2020.

So they can prevent fans from coming at at all, but they couldn't make it so that you have to sign a waiver? The same way they have enforced masks, i am sure they could do something around signing a waiver

I'd include linebacker in that underwhelming category. We've got some good starters in Edmunds and Milano and then the rest are replaceable depth. And we lost Alexander.

I'm actually happy with our DE signings and the draft pick.

I'm also a little higher on Dawson Knox than many, I guess. He looked promising to me even though he had some drops.

Running a base nickel, how many LBS do you need? Having two stud up and comers is underwhelming? Maybe the lack of depth is something, but LB is far from a weakness on this team.

Basically The whole article was all about mechanical deficiencies which everybody knows Allen has

I mean the main talking points were, footwork, left hand tighter , and head control.   All mechanical things in the body

    It's nothing new in football

Sure it is nothing new, but having the nuances of how to correct those deficiencies was very informative. If it was so cut and dry than why would hall of fame level QBs be seeking out approaches to correct/improve their craft?

  6. Its been a hard story to follow, the guy clearly wants to go play for a winner, although his home state doesn't offer the two most stable franchises, but its clear to me hes sick of losing. I get that sense when the subsequent rumors are he wouldn't demand a new contract immediately with a new team.

    Decent article.

Everybody knows Allen has a lot to on with footwork, not really a secret. He has had a wide base and inconsistent feet since college. You see that alot with QBs with big arms because they never needed great lower body mechanics to get the ball where they wanted it to go. It was pure talent

And Pat Mahomes honestly had worse footwork then Allen coming out, he just got a year on the bench to work on it while Allen was thrown to the fire

And I wouldn't even call it a dumpster fire anymore, he improved alot last season

When he's on his mechanics are sound, when he's off , so are his mechanics

There was so much more to the article than just fixing his footwork.

    NFL = Money Machine

    NHL = Garage League

Why people don't see this exact point. There is not a single NFL team valued under a billion dollars. While there is only four, maybe five teams in the league that are valued at just a little over a billion.

Funny part is, the NY Rangers are the highest valued team in the NHL and they wouldn't make the NFLs list.

The players may be young and healthy, but what about coaches and support staff?

Who wants to take bets on Andy Reid's chances? How about Romeo Crennel?

It is not just about survival either. Survivors are reporting long lasting issues. What if some young and healthy players recover but never have the endurance required to play pro football anymore.

This is not chicken pox. It just isn't that simple.

It is that simple, the mortality rate is low and we are seeing mass gatherings for the past week or so plus.

That's true, especially with how oblivious coaches can be at evaluating talent. The reality is that coaches are often just working with someone they can vibe with, someone they can communicate with.

Anthony Lynn with the Chargers ... he and Kaep would gel, I feel confident.

Put it in front of as many people as you can. It's... ah I dont even know where to begin.

I'll just say that. It's funny - and again it's by design - how Americans are all so certain we are much too clever to ever be persuaded by government propaganda. Us? Come on...!

Sure, okay, I'll give you that even. It goes both ways, though. Because really, more than virtue signaling, you see major cultural defensiveness.

It's like... imagine you are a boss doing a performance review for an employee. You're trying to tell the employee the ways they could be better; all they're doing is "WELL WHAT ABOUT...."

You're like. Do I have to fire you? I just need you to listen, and stop doing the bad dumb evil things, because replacing you would be very difficult. So please just stop killing the other employees. And they're like "WELL THEY'RE JUST PART TIMERS!"

And thats like the employee telling me how unfair his supervisor has been while wearing a shirt that says "***** all management" with Hitler on.

Sure, its entirely possible there is a real gripe with the employees supervisor, but how do I take that individuals stance at face value if thats the message they perpetuate?

Yeah man I hear you.  I'm not, like... blaming you. Or even arguing. Idk. I'm just talking. I'm just trying to help illuminate things, because, again, we're just not trained to talk about it. We don't know how, culturally. I'm not saying I am the super expert, I am just sharing what I know, and trying to help people understand things that I remember not always being so clear to me. It is an ongoing process, not a one time thing.

I'm just preaching, dude, because it needs to be preached, that's it.

Preach on! I have no qualms listening and having dialogue

But it's more and more evident that some (not saying you) have to go out of their way to show exactly how virtuous they are, that any question or any type of different talking points immediately is meet with hostility and trying to put someone down.
