  1. Exactly. Schwartz should be canned at the end of this season. His players are out of control. How do they know he was in the wrong spot on purpose? He's an idiot if he did it and then admitted to it!

I know. Beyond bizzare. I want to know why they think he did it on purpose? Is someone deflecting blame to him? Did he have a bad day and line up at the wrong spot multiple times, thinking he was where he was suppossed to be and the WR coach telling him its somewhere else?!?!?!

Perhaps Stafford and Johnson would like to come to Buffalo?!?!?

Man, I would love Stafford on the Bills. Dude's got a cannon, can read defenses, is a leader (not that Fitz isn't) and seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

  2. My biggest concern is CJ shouldering the load and getting injured.

By getting the majority of the running work tonight, you are implying Chan will run the ball a lot. This is something the Bills haven't done enough of this year, especially in critical areas of the game. I wonder if tonight will be any different. I do hope CJ does well, though.

  3. It still does actually. According to this site, if the Bills run the table the rest of the season their chances of making the playoffs are 96%.

If they lose Thursday, the best they can do is to have their playoff chances be 56%.

Not that I think this is likely to happen, but they are not mathematically out yet either.

You and I both know, this team is not running the tables.

  4. Dareus had a couple good deflects. That first one should have been an easy INT by Scott. He blew it. That's the difference between starting ahead and playing from behind the whole game. I agree that he was less than stellar in the second half.

That last Fitz pass broke my heart. The game was ours and he forced a throw he didn't need to make. It was only second down. Even if TJ ran the wrong route, Fitz should not have made that throw. And Fitz was on fire the whole game. This was the first time I had confidence in his passing. Usually when I watch the games I get worried when it's not a hand off. Today I was ecstatic about the passing game. Why did it have to end like that?

I agree with the rest. Jones has proven his worth, Spiller is unbelievable and that scheme was awful. Some of those penalties were questionable, but not all of them. We had like the 6th fewest penalties going into the game - what happened?

If we play like this and Freddy doesn't fumble for the next 7 games, we legitimately could win them all. I don't think it's likely, but none of our remaining games will be as tough as the last two. Not even close.

The first part of the statement in bold.

I kept thinking to myself "Just pull one game out. Just one. Let Thursday's game mean something." All I could do was put my hands on my head and sigh.

  5. I beg to differ. I am a very happy man. I am very satisfied with my job, my family and life in general. I am not, however even close to being satisfied with the football team that I have chosen to follow for the past 50 + years. That was an embarrassment on Sunday and it was the second time in two tries against division opponents that this team has been thoroughly embarrassed. It is not just one game, it is a pattern of ineptness over a number of years and it is very disheartening to watch. It would have been different if they even put up a fight, but it was obvious in the second half, that NE could score whenever they wanted. They were toying with this team and laughing at them. I just wish this team would grow some pride and refuse to be beaten. I wouldn't even know where to begin to fix this team, it is so badly broken. I would have to start with the coaching staff though. There is no excuse for being as clueless as the Bills have been against division opponents since Gailey and company have taken charge. Secretly wanting to be miserable? Not even close. I would love nothing more than to be able to come on this forum and talk about what a good job these guys are doing. They have to earn that though and they ain't even in the ballpark.

It would save Bills fans a lot of agony if they did. This team has shown that they are going nowhere and will not be able to compete with any team that is better than average. May as well not show up if you're going to play the way they did Sunday. Cancelling doesn't sound like a bad option at this point. They would lose each game by 7-0. That is a hell of a lot better than giving up 100 + points to division opponents in only two games.

This might be the most intelligent thing I have ever read on this board and I couldn't agree more.

  6. Anyone who still thinks this game is an automatic "W" for the Bills, think again.

The Browns should have beaten the Eagles. They are 0-2, but they do not look weak, and they do not want to go 0-3.

I am confident that the Bills will be focused and know that they have to show that they can win on the road.

I watched the Browns/Eagles game and the Browns had them with the exception of the last few minutes. They have some pieces in place and the Bills must be wary of Trent Richardson. He is a big back. You can count me in the group that until the Bills can bring it on the road, against anybody, they can't take anyone lightly.

This is not a trap game, it is the next game on the schedule for both teams.

  7. 39

My first game was the 1985 opener (I think) and Vince Feragamo was the quarterback. Lost 14-9 to the Chargers. My grandparents were born & raised in Buffalo even though I grew up in Rochester. My mom was also born in Buffalo. My dad was never around.

Still a Bills fan today because it is a link to my mom and I, as well as my daughter and I. She is a Bills fan and she (as well as I) is (are) very proud of it. She is 8 and knows to boo any team from NE and she hates the Steelers. As long as the Bills are in Buffalo, we root for them.

  8. 6. "My playcalling is so predictable that the fans see what's coming and that was a problem Sunday."

We have one of the largest, heaviest talented offensive lines in football with excellent running backs, a gigantic fullback and two big tight ends.

Yet we pass and pass and pass utilizing our average QB and our average WRs.

This team is built to demolish teams using the running game.

It's a tragedy that McIntyre isn't in there paving the road nearly every play for FJ or CJ.

How do you put together a team, and then don't utilize it's strengths? They seem to have a better than average OLINE, why not run the friggin' ball??!!

It's very frustrating to have some of the pieces, and continually force our WR's & QB to make plays they simply cannot make.

As a side note, any chance of Lee Evans?

  9. One of the announcers stated that the Bills had 120 plays ready. Are you freaken kidding me! This guy can't put together 10 good plays. I am starting to think that this so called complex play book of Chans is a nightmare for the players. Looks to me like they need to go back to the basics and execute. I can't believe that I drank the cool aid BS that the Bills put out again. This team is in real trouble my friends. When we beat up on KC this week don't be fooled we suck!!!

The thing is - even if we beat KC, I don't think I will feel any better. Well, maybe a little. Unless I see an absolutely dominating performance by the DLINE, I'll just chalk it up as being .500 against (what I thought) were 2 teams beneath us.

It seems to me they should beat KC. But I also thought they would would look more interested against the Jets.

  10. I don't post much here, but I am on everyday. There isn't much else that can be said that already hasn't been mentioned in other threads.

Combine the strength of the schedule and the lack of any improvement, in any phase of the game, and you are correct. This could get brutal for awhile. I know it's only one game, but they weren't even competitive. They seemed like victory should have been handed to them.

They got it handed to them alright.

This and the impending NHL lockout have this shaping up to be a miserable start to the fall/winter.
