  1. ummm call me crazy but Fred's deal should have been done bf Fitz , Stevie and Williams (ugly sisters). Fred has proven over and over he is the best. He has carried this team and been consistent regardless of who the QB was. Respect the game and pay Fred. Is the leader to be paid last? Is the most talented player not to be paid the most or the soonest bc he is the most patient and loyal? Why is Marshawn the Cinderella man after getting out performed by Fred? This is embarrassing to the team. I'm pissed the Stevie didn't even mention it. And perhaps Bilichek is holding a glass slipper.

  2. I would....

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Did the photog have to take a pic of her doing lunges with 10 lbs plates? thats 65 pounds and it looks ridiculous when we speak of Olympic feats. Someone put a video together of her pancaking fools and neutralizing rip and bull rush techniques. LOL!!!! Play some exciting rap jam and wonder if she is better than WANG!!

  3. I'd much rather talk about Jackson's heroism, great play and running style but Stevie's signing is illusory without Fred Jackson in the backfield. Now i realize there are many that think backs are a dime a dozen or that Fred's age doesn't warrant a long term deal; Additionally there's been a spark from Spiller but Fred Jackson is the Bills.

Marshawn's signing is also a slap in the face to Fred. Fred is the better of the two. Now Nix has stated in the past that "we want to keep Fred and that he is a big part of what we are trying to to do in Buffalo" however he also seemed agitated when asked if and when Fred will be rewarded w a new contract and the response: "Last time i checked he's currently under contract for another year isn't he?"

We cant fool around with the heart and soul of the teams ATLAS. Fair deal: 21 million over 3 years. 10 million guaranteed.

  4. Every year I hurt bad after a Bill's season. This last one took the cake after that awesome start. But its posts like these that bring me back up and my hope is restored. True Bills fan with passion and draft analysis. We all know and the pros always speak of "missing pieces" just a few missing pieces or a "play or two away from a win" C'mon lets face it, no one thought Giants would be there. NO ONE. Look at Cincy? Perhaps this McNutt guy could be the one to replace the Cowboy Cheerleader's boy Friend? Maybe a Bills coach sees this awesome analysis and fights to get this guy in an earlier round. Maybe this guy is the next Moss? Maybe this guy makes up for the Easly draft tragedy. I love the Bills and I cant f*cking wait for that missing piece or that play maker to come help Fred Jackson. I cant wait for a big time player to compliment Stevie and counter hometown heart breaker "Gronky Kong". Im getting sick of this sh*t. I wanna win. Thanks for the post and lets cross our fingers and we get this guy at least for your sake. You sir is the reason why im renewing my tix.

  5. I'd be the last person to pretend that there isn't a whole lotta racism still around. And plenty of it among black people (maybe more than in any other group). So it's logical that there must be some of that around this board. But let me respectfully say, you're thinking is FUBAR. It is also racist in the extreme.

If the membership of TSW is reflective of the population of WNY and SoOntario, then we should expect at least 85% of those logging in to be non-black. If your ill-thought-out premise is correct, then we should see about 85% wildly backing the "fantastic" Chris Kelsay, about 85% opposing any idea of drafting Cam Newton for the -- OMG! -- reserved-for-whites QB position, about 85% supporting Pears and Urbik over, say, Bryant McKinnie, and so on. But that's not the case, is it. Not by along shot. As far as I can tell, those around here who tend to know what they're talking about, vis a vis, football, criticism tends to be about ability not a player's race. I mean, seriously, if so many of us were begging the Bills to get rid of James Hardy and give Stevie J his shot, how does that morph into racism?

BTW, it's "niche" not "nitch." And WTF does Hoosiers of the Shield mean in recognizable English? Oh, and one tip-off that a white person might be a racist: they call themselves "conservatives," or "Republicans," or "Tea Partiers."

I spale purfectly when eye right."lotta" vs nitch...c'mon or come on... who cares about that. Shield=NFL, Hoosiers= Famous undersized white team that defeated giant inner city goliaths also bobby knight and his white teams.

also your missing my point, im not wanting your percentage analysis. My point is we have a great great running back that isnt being recognized whereas weve got Kelsey and Williams being paid and coveted. Corto? How is one of the greatest RBs in bills history gets treated like this. Everyone goes on about kyle being ignored for 3 rounds but FJ is even a greater story and he is BAD ASS.

  6. Fellas, Does the great-white-hope exist any longer in sports these days...whether blatantly or subconsciously? We can go back and forth re a mans age and ability. Im just saying that there is nothing wrong with the philosophy its kinda the underdog thing. Did you get off thinking about Bryce Paup or Shobel killing QBs? Is Jarred Allen more celebrated inside your hearts vs a Dwight Finney? Riggins? Alstott? Largeant? You know what hell im trying to say. i theorize that the Bills are the Hoosiers of the Shield. I think thats our nitch. Of course the majority of the team is of color but the spirit of our team is white. Similar to the radiers being a buncha tuff ass rogues/castaways. Fred is a real life football HERO, he transcends age and money. Hes running style is as unique as any of the greats. Nobody runs as he does. Fred is not dispensable.

  7. Sorry, but Kyle Williams is more important to the team than Fred Jackson. I love Freddie, but there isn't such a thing as a 30 year old running back who represents the future of an NFL team. Kyle Williams, relative to the rest of the league at DT, is better than Fred Jackson, relative to the rest of the league at RB. And it's got nothing to do with race.

Yeah, Jackson doesn't get paid accordingly to his play. But that has nothing to do with race! It has everything to do with the fact that when he signed a 4 year extension in 2009, FJ was a 28 year old backup RB who'd had 1.5 decent NFL seasons after a pedigree of Coe College and the Sioux City Bandits.

CORTO!!!???? Why is Corto on the team? No room for this stuff? But as to age? what decline lol have weve seen from fred? He evades getting hammered despite not having a line. And what about our efforts to retain Poz!?!? terrible LB.

Kyle Williams clearly has a better agent than FJ. His guy was agressive and got the deal done. People too often blame the team for not signing a guy, but for all we know they arent even in discussion. And if they are in discussion, they may be far apart in dollars.

I conceed money to a certain degree but what about this 2 starter nonsense?

  8. I am stunned at how the front office and Bill's coaching staff has treated Fred Jackson. I find it odd that they they've given big money contracts to Kelsay and Williams with the reasoning of "good character leaders that will take us into the future". I ask members here whether that contract should have gone to Fred Jackson who has been arguably the best and most consistent player on offense. How do the Bill's organization atone for not recognizing FJ's unique style of running and durability? his pay I believe is ranked 40th for running backs at about 2 million! Money aside Fred has been taking his contract like a man and has battled to be the starter sending Marshawn on his way and clearly separated himself from Spiller. I hate to say it but I believe Ralph and the gang want a Notre Dame/ Hoosier team of white spirit. how else does this make any sense? So yeah I think race is an issue. "we have 2 starters", "Fred is a big part of what we are trying to do here" Huh?! fred is all we are really doing here. Where are the comments about his discipline and being respectful? where are the comments of FJ being part of Bill's Future? No offense to Kyle and he is great but imagine this team without Fred Jackson. Fred is a genious when it comes to getting positive yardage and setting up blocks. He knows how to take advantage of defensive run leverage and aggresive angles of pursuit. He truly is the bills future despite being respectful, patient and black. Put the starting glass cleats on FJ.

ps. be intelligent in regard to my theory of "spirit of a white team" versus arguing numbers of blacks vs whites. The kelsey contract is inexcusable as well as the organizations lack of kudos to FJ.

  9. no offense but number 1 ur a terrible comedic writer...i know ur tryin and you prolly think ur funny but ur not. 2ndly all those short passes are designed to relieve immediate pressure off the offensive line to avoid injury to our line as they are not ready to sustain pass blocking w a shortened camp and injuries. long drop backs and our first unit wudda been clobbered and fitz knocked out. all the coaches wanted to see is foot placement and positioning.were u impressed w cutler? gailey builds up confidence as we sort our line out.finally im happy u r confused w all the diff qbs and formations bc other great football minds like all the other the afc east coaches maybe wondering as well.nice shocking title however :)

  10. Evans always said the right things to the media and the fans; model behavior for a pro athlete in terms of media and community relations. That does not mean he was not difficult to deal with in doing the things a coach needs and expects in an offensive scheme. Gailey hinted at this last year and in the offseason; Evans was expected to do more than run his long routes and consistently failed to execute within the framework of this offense. Let's be clear, he has been an underachiever. TO joins the team and completely out produces Evans two years ago, despite Evans being our number one. And when we played the Jets that year, Revis. was assigned to cover Owens, and it's the Jets scheme to always have Revis cover the other teams best receiver. Likewise, Johnson completely outproduced him last year, and Evans came up small in big moments last year

The problem is that the media here has no inside sources, no insight into the real inside workings of this team. So the perception that Evans is a model player is based solely on the public persona he provides to the media. Clearly this Baltimore reporter does have sources within the Ravens organization, and that organization obtained this info on Evans as part of their due diligence prior to making this deal.

excellent...very true. Evans was not a leader and failed after getting a big contract. his long route running is metaphorical to his attitude....he simply ran away from it all instead of getting into the fire (short routes).

  11. some good opinions on Sullivan here

    http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/124797-that-damn-jerry-sullivan/

Even though I think the guy is a hack, I thought he was sincere in the latest article and not being sarcastic when he says "Ask the guy at the cooler if it matters".

He prefaced it with" "Go ahead". Thats a smart a** challenge in customary conversation. go ahead, touch the muffler see if its hot. Go ahead, ring that doorbell.

regardless its silly to persuade anyone what he meant as he plays in the gray area. My knock against him is the wish to lose thing. "Go ahead, make my day"

bottom line is that the Bills are making a nice run and real fans have noticed the effort, the general pop may not understand what Chan and company have done to change the team...but then again the gen pop typically only understand overall record.

  12. The bar is set higher at TBD as we are fans that really analyze the games and although we are not professionals we follow all moves throughout the season. Sooo in that light perhaps we are not his audience as we can call out his BS. Regardless its tough to see a man write that we need to lose to win?!? huh? WTF? Matt Stafford? and the rams QB? and we may not have a season next year? We must win NOW! Sully has another positive article today but perhaps intended for the pedestrian fan cuz it doesnt fly w me.

  13. Doesn't mention his loser philosophy of losing as many games as possible to get a #1 QB in article.

If you read closely you can read between the lines that he is heavily discounting the team and ends the article with a condescending:

"OK, it wasn't like beating Don Shula in his final game, or Jim Kelly outdueling Dan Marino in the snow. But they knocked out Miami, and when has that ever been a bad thing? Go ahead. Ask the person at the water cooler if it mattered." -Sullivan

My take is that he believes most at the water cooler wouldn't think that THIS bills win over the Fins mattered. Which is wrong and being a tremendous hater. We sat Miami Down and we nearly beat the pats last time. We are due and its a home game. Sully is just weaslin his way in on the fun after nearly begging the Bills to lose so he could get his new "Jim Kelly" and pontificate that a single man brought the org back as oppose to the COMPLETE team effort that is unveiling itself before our very eyes. The nation is taking notice of the Bill's resurgence (Det News) and praising Fitzy with his laser passing. i truly believe he would love to see us take the next two games but he doesn't know the true essence of the game and that it actually can be done. The kids are doing just fine with Fitzy. Shame on Sully for using quill trickery as oppose to and old fashion apology or admitting he was wrong.

  14. your post is as confusing as Sullivan's articles. Are you a fan of his writing or are you being condescending? You really never commit to either side as you call out the Sullivan haters. Are you trying to motivate dialogue for his benefit or are you being a smart a** bc you dont like him. Your conclusion "our boy Jerry Sullivan" is it condescending? I dont mean to offend but clarity would be nice. If you read that article closely you could read bewteen the lines that he is heavily discounting the team and ends the article with a condescending:

"OK, it wasn't like beating Don Shula in his final game, or Jim Kelly outdueling Dan Marino in the snow. But they knocked out Miami, and when has that ever been a bad thing? Go ahead. Ask the person at the water cooler if it mattered." -Sullivan

My take is that he believes most at the water cooler wouldn't think that THIS bills win over the fins doesn't matter. Which he is wrong and being a tremendous hater bc he has to eat crow. we sat Miami Down and we nearly beat the pats last time. We are due and its a home game. Sully is just weaslin his way in on the fun after nearly begging the Bills to lose so he could get his new "Jim Kelly" and pontificate that a single man brought the org back as oppose to the COMPLETE team effort that is unveiling itself before our very eyes. Shame on sully for using quill trickery as oppose to and old fashion apology or admitting he was wrong.

  15. The attached link mirrors my view on the Fitz qb situation. My feeling is that he has a very high football IQ but is physically very limited. He is a Hasselbeck, Cassell and Jake DelHomme (pre-injury) caliber qb. More of a manager than a playmaker.

If you watch a team with a very talented qb such as Brees, Rivers, Rodgers, Ryan etc it is a stark difference. Teams which have aspirations to compete for the championship rather than pursuing a wildcard run usually have the playmaker caliber of qb.

The Bills are in a very good position to draft a qb such as Newton. He is an imposing talent who could learn behind a smart qb such as Fitz.

If you want to think small then go ahead and be satisfied with an average talented qb such as Fitz. In my mind he is a below average starter and an excellent backup qb. If you dare to have championship aspirations then you need to be creative and bold and pursue the special talent at the qb positon.

Many people are satisfied with being mediocre. I'm not one of them.

    http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/columns/bob-dicesare/article286276.ece

wow.Real good point...gotta set sentiment aside.Ryan does have wheels at the right time. How would you rate that skill? Calm in the huddle and Pocket, but can blaze outta there. i dont see any of the QBs u mention being as good as Fitz doing that.Isnt that playmaking? Are you speaking of height?

  16. I say Win all three. They've been in plenty games this season and have blown great opportunities; the Bills must atone for that. They might as well start winning now and establishing themselves. Both Chan and Fitzy have been bouncing around the dreaded "we need to learn how to win" cliche. Well in pro ball there isnt time to continue the lesson into next season. We as fans cannot withstand all these nail biters that end with a bucket of sh*t on our heads. It can be done. The Fins will be our biggest test of the three, Miami is fighting for their playoff lives. The jets QB and organization are sucking bad as we are rising. The pats will have no incentive and should be resting their starters by time they get to Buffalo. Chan has said that his rookie receivers should have played enough experience wise like "its already their 2nd season". With that bar our offense and defense should now be primed. If this team as is cant run the table with the final 3 games changes will need to be made. I love Fitz and wrote during preseason he should be our starter but he has to save this season himself for me not wish for a better QB to lead us in the future. The BILLS can do it...all 3...all WINS.

  17. post-14052-093410900 1292519403_thumb.jpg

Bummed that he didn't start the season but happy that he's there now. Had a great interview w/ Rome and I strongly feel we have a great QB for years to come. If we run the table these last three or get 2 of em, we can concentrate on other needs in April. Happy Holidays!

  18. That's one of those scouting reports that seems to boil down like this:

    Pros: Terrific lineman

    Cons: Terrible lineman.

hahaha that was great! hahaha omg!

A shorter version of that scouting report would be:

"Looks like Tarzan- Plays like Jane"

hahahaha funny!!! oh sh*t "shorter version" scouting reports are killin me
