  1. OK, I'll probably be getting all the Naysayers out of the woodwork with this question but I just don't see how the "experts" are proposing we are a 2-14 team. Let's look at the add/loss column for "impact" players/coaches...

    Lost:

Head Coach Dick Jauron (good riddance)

Terrell Owens (didn't free up Lee so what purpose did he serve)

Josh Reed (decent/ somewhat reliable slot reciever)

Aaron Schobel (sack leader on a not so sack heavy defense)

I'm probably missing more but these were the ones that stand out.

    Added:

    Coach Gailey

    Dynamic RB Spiller

    NT Troup

    DE/OLB Carrington

    OL Cornell Green

    OLB Andra Davis

    WR Nelson

And I'm again probably missing more but these stand out. Our Offensive line though it didn't get better got healthier. The negatives are that we're in a new system on both offense and defense BUT I have no idea how it could get any worse than last year as both units excluding the secondary were completly disfunctional. And again Trent is a question mark. Even so, our team played competant enough to get 7 wins last year???

Looking at the schedule side, how can we only win 2 games with Kansas City, Chicago and Cleveland on the list? These analysts piss me straight off.

Considering that we LOST to Cleveland last year, I don't see how you're counting them out? Sure it was an ugly win in an ugly game but a win was a win.

Obviously you haven't checked out our schedule. Take a look see and i see this team going 4-12 or 5-11. This team has improved from what I've seen but so has our entire division

  3. You can't argue it both ways. If the Bills scouting staff was wrong to draft Levi Brown because he failed to make the team, they aren't wrong for signing a UDFA that made the team as well.

Is that you Coach Tuesday? Did you create another screen name so it would look like someone agrees with you?

    PTR

First of all WTF is coach tuesday? This has been my handle and my alias in all the other Bills forum I've been on. 2nd, you justified the scouting dept's competence by bringing in Nelson. You said "what about Nelson." So what about him? Just because he made this team, you think the scouting dept did their job in finding the "next Marques Colston or Wayne Chrebet?"

I already know they messed up with Brown. You don't have to tell me this. Lucky for us, it wasn't another expensive mistake.

  4. I think what he's saying though, is that, if you're going to fault our scouting department, etc. the best example probably isn't Levi Brown.

As other have stated, he's a 7th round pick. I liked him too initially, but I think it was because he was the only thing new to a group of QB's that I had little or no respect for. In the end, it looks like Gailey decided Edwards is actually not completely shot after all.

Gailey can't be spending time developing 3 quarterbacks at once. If Levi came in and just beat the world out there, maybe we'd be having a different conversation, but because he didn't (and he wasn't exactly drafted to), we cut him.

Blaming the scouting department or Chan Gailey is rather silly.

I will put fault on our scouting department. How can you not? For every Jason Peters and a Jabari Greer we've "found," there's a Leodis McKelvin, JP Losman, John McCargo, Roscoe Parrish, James Hardy, a Mike Williams, an Erik Flowers, a Marshawn Lynch, an Aaron Maybin. Sure this is a completely different front office now, but our scouting and drafting has been piss poor over the last couple years. Finding a couple free agent rookies does NOT make up for paying big bucks for first round busts who can't hack it in this league.

  5. Maybe it's because you can't respond to my challenges to your twisted logic. If your arguments are so weak that I can poke holes in them then maybe you should rethink what you post. You can't point to guys who flop as proof of our Front Office being inept then completely ignore the successes. If anything it shows how little you understand about the game of football, which is really not a surprise at all.

Neither has CJ Spiller. Are you calling him a dud?

    PTR

Did i say Spiller was a dud? None of these guys have stepped on the field during an NFL reg. season game so to infer that the Bills scouts have hit gold with Nelson is ignorant. And yes you're inferring that we hit gold with Nelson.

Again i fail to see your point in reference to Spiller.

  6. I love my team but we'll be LUCKY to win 5 games this year. I'm seeing a 3-13 or 4-12 season.

    Miami (L) - 0-1

    Green Bay (L) - 0-2

    New England (L) - 0-3

    NY Jets (L) - 0-4

    Jax (W) - 1-4

    BYE

    Baltimore (L) - 1-5

    Kansas City (W) - 2-5

    Chicago (L) - 2-6

    Detroit (W) - 3-6

    Cincinnatti (L) - 3-7

    Pittsburgh (L) - 3-8

    Minnesota (L) - 3-9

    Cleveland (W) - 4-9

    Miami (L) - 4-10

    New England (L) - 4-11

    NY Jets (L) - 4-12

    There it is.

  7. I've read several different articles this offseason about how the AFC east has three proven quarterbacks (Brady, Sanchez, and Henne) and one not so proven. Is it just me or are these people writing these articles insane. Obviously, Tom Brady is proven. But to say chad henne and mark sanchez are proven is just insane. Henne played decent last year, but that means hes now a proven quarterback? And mark sanchez threw TWENTY picks last year. He was very very average last year. They won so many games last year because of their amazing defense and dominant running game. Yes, he did his part in managing games and not losing games, but he certainly did not win many games with his arm at all. I know he played very very well in the postseason (with his arm), but come on now, i think to be called "proven" you have to have at least two or three solid seasons first.

You think throwing 12 TD's to 20 INTs is very average? In my standards, that is downright AWFUL. His last preseason game, he was 5 for 12 for 12 yds or something like that. Those are great numbers.
