Do I really need to get seasons again?!
-
The Katrinas
-
Might hurt my eyes after the first quarter - but I need to see it in person.
-
What a scumbag. I hope the Colts destroy the Saints.
-
"Nobody circles the wagons"
Does that count?

There's something better on my TV....it's the off button. I've very proud of the fact that I've lived here in SF for a year now and I can't tell you what channel NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox are here.
All I know is channel 88 - NFL Network
I don't watch T.V.

The franchise tag price on defensive tackles is startlingly low. Quality nose tackles are invaluable to 3-4 defenses. Top level NT set to become UFA aren't going to see the open market this offseason with the cost to franchise them so low.
Could be the reason Wilfork is upset

I have seen Jimmy Graham play. He is a very interesting prospect. He played college BB. He turned down a lot of money to play BB in Europe so that he could play football with the Canes. He had not played football since (I believe) he was a freshman or sophomore in HS. He had a very nice season and looked very good -- especially given that he had not played organized football for some time.
It does not really surprise me too much. A lot of the good tight ends look like power forwards. If you have those type of skills and can catch and are tough, there certainly is potential for a BB player to convert to tight end (as we have seen before).
Apparently he isn't consistent at catching the ball... reminds me sort of like a Courtney Anderson (size wise)

wouldn't this be called a "draw"?
-
this post could also be titled: Players Al Davis will draft, regardless of their football talent
Taylor Price to the Raiders
mark it down
-
Now we can go back to focusing on drafting Bradford.
After looking at his 2008 stats - this could be our next QB...
-
Defensive Ends:
Greg Hardy - 4.6 (40 time) 6'5 270 lbs
Line Backers
Sergio Kindle - 4.75 (40) 6'4 255 lbs
Rolando McClain - 4.6 (40) 6'4 258 lbs
Cornerbacks
Myron Lewis - 4.5 (40 ) 6'2 205 lbs
Wide Receivers:
Taylor Price - 4.35 (40) 6'1 200 lbs
Demaryius Thomas - 4.5 (40) 6'3 230 lbs
Tight Ends:
Jimmy Graham - 4.65 (40) 6'8 260 lbs
-
I was looking some college statistics and came across:
SAM BRADFORD
2008 - 50 TOUCHDOWNS 2 INTERCEPTIONS - 67.9% COMPLETION - 4,720 YARDS
HOLY JESUS!
-
Whoever we bring in - we should make this a hybrid 4-3/3-4. Seems so much more realistic.

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/seah...0704_nfl28.html = McNabb
http://www.fftoolbox.com/football/nfl_news.cfm?news_id=1180 = Vick
Also... Desean Jackson is making his case to keep McNabb
-
I say pick up one of the top LTs in either Davis or Bulaga
2nd round should be either a NT or LB
3rd round should... TONY PIKE!
-
Conan O'Brien will be the new judge
-
Here is my take on each position IF we go 3-4. Before we dissect the defense - let's look at the Offense:
QUARTERBACKS
Gailey already confirmed to us that we need more quarterbacks to ensure good competition. Trent or Fitzpatrick could both easily start the 2010 season...
Free Agency/Trade: Kyle Orton, Michael Vick, Donovan McNabb
Draft: 3rd round pick : Tony Pike
RUNNING BACKS
Fred Jackson is the set starter and star RB for the Buffalo Bills. Lynch is still under contract is isn't bad depth although his off the field issues are becoming a problem.
Free Agency/Trade: None
Draft: 6th round pick: ? ( James Starks? Doubt it!)
WIDE RECEIVERS
Will T.O. come back? Probably not. Lee Evans is the lonesome #1 (or #2) once again. Steve Johnson or James Hardy could step it up but it's not clear if they can. Brandon Marshall could be acquired here... maybe even a combo package with Orton? Whoever it is - We need a BIG wide receiver.
Free Agency/Trade: Kevin Walter, Brandon Marshall
Draft: 4th round pick: Arrelious Benn
OFFENSIVE LINE
Our line fell apart in 2009 BUT... nothing much will change here except for LT or RT. We have Eric Wood who can play guard or center, Levitre at tackle or guard, Hangman at center or guard, Incognito at guard, and Brad Butler at guard or tackle.
Free Agency/Trade: None
Draft: 1st round pick: Anthony Davis
TIGHT ENDS
Shawn Nelson did a pretty decent job in 2010. He should most likely be our starter along with either Schouman or Fine.
Free Agency/Trade: None
Draft: 7th round pick: Dennis Pitta
------------------
Alright - so moving on to the DEFENSE assuming we go 3-4!
------------------
CORNERBACKS
I believe we are set here. McGee, McKelvin, and Florence make a good nickel package. Corner will have some good competition with Youboty, Lankster and...
Free Agency/Trade: None
Draft: 5th round pick: Brian Jackson
SAFETIES
Another solid group we have on defense. Byrd, Whitner, Wilson, and Scott make a decent group.
Free Agency/Trade: None
Draft: Compensatory Pick
DEFENSIVE LINE
Here's where 3-4 gets tricky. Stroud and Kyle Williams must move to the ends... in this case... we would have a MAJOR overstock on OLBs with Kelsay, Schobel, Maybin, etc. Spencer Johnson could solidify the middle, perhaps. If not - here are our options...
Free Agency/Trade: Wilfork
Draft: 2nd round pick: Terrance Cody
LINEBACKERS
Like I said - we have MANY outside linebackers. My previous pick was a Nose Tackle in Terrance Cody... if for some reason we do acquire a FA NT - we could draft:
Free Agency/Trade: None
Draft: 2nd round pick: Brandon Spikes ILB (if we don't take Cody)

Why would any team last in L.A.? They have something new going on there every week. The only bad thing about this is that they have until 2015 until the lease is up. I really hope Ralph can make it that long, but who knows?
Put it this way people, I'll feel a whole lot better once the Jags or Rams or any team other than the Bills commits to that new mega stadium in L.A...
Los Angeles is too close to the proximity of Chargers, Raiders, and 49ers fans. If I had to move a team there - it would be a California team.

It seems their long term stay in St.Louis doesn't look too good
-
If he was available at pick #9 - this would be a no brainer.
-
Personally- I think a Bills move would be to acquire someone like Kevin Walter.
-
Great find! I like when it slows down as Trent released the football. He does have good accuracy and a decent release but he needs to work that arm strength.

Vick maybe isn't our first choice, BUT... He can outplay Edwards and Fitzpatrick. Not only that - his arm is stronger and without a good offensive line - Vick is mobile. I'd bring him in for competition.
