  1. I think Moates gets cut. Here is why, last year Coleman was playing in front of Moats, then Coleman got hurt which allowed Moats to even get on the field.

Coleman has played well on special teams and at OLB. Plus Moats is hurt and can be placed on PUP and if any injuries come before what half the season, he can be brought back.

  2. I may be off, but here is what I think.

The owners voted EARLY on the deal that was to be in front of the players, because they had the time line. Add in the fact that they have the Kraft services to go to.

I bet the commissioner said to D Smith We got to go, we can't sit here, we'll be in Boston, we'll open the facilities this weedend and you have till Wednesday to get your vote in order.

I also agree that the players are only repeating genernic e-mail etc. There is no way that all the 32 players reps have read the deal cover to cover.

  3. Spiller as quitly gained 1331.4 all purpose yards this year with two games left.

The remaining two game could easily amount to another 200 yards, for a projected total of 1500 +.

Not to bad I would say with his limited role.

    Just an opinion.

  4. I am an Auburn Grad and have watched every game this year and in prevoius years. I have two comments about Fairley.

    1) he played sparingly last year and was a beast when he was in there. Auburn fans wondered why he wasn't getting more playing time. So as to the one year wonder comments, I say not really. If you look at tackles for loss, sack etc, based on last year and compare it to his playing time I would guess he would have the same stats if you project them out.

    2) As far as a dirty player, not so fast. There are no rules in college that protect the QB like the NFL. So driving the QB to the ground is legal. Also if you are continuely getting choped blocked (i.e GA game) if you get to the QB wouldn't you make sure he goes down hard? He has only been penalized once for a late hit that I can remember, maybe twice, not bad for a guy who is getting to the QB and making plays.

Also a good NT like Kyle would allow Fairley to have less double teams.

  5. 2011, why not 2010.

They are trying Wang at G as we speak.

Nix has said that Urbik was the third best interior lineman in the Woods/Levitre daft. That statement would mean to me that Wood at Center, Urbik and Levitre at Guards. Hang and Wang as depth.

As for tackles I would stay with Howard at RT and Bell at LT.

I would play this lineline the rest of the year:

    RT Howard

    RG Urbik

    C Wood

    LG Levitre

    LT Bell

Then in 2011 draft get T, QB, DE/OLB (pass rusher) 1st four rounds with round 1 and 2 flip if quality is there. Or the way our defense is playing QB defense, defense, etc.

  6. I did not notice any topics on Fritz on run plays.

I have notice the effort on his part to get down field and block.

If you look at the replay of Fred's big run against the Jag's, when he makes a spin move to get extra yards rather than going out of bounds.

Everyone was so pumped that they did not notice Fritz lay the wood to the D-back that enabled him to make the move.

    AWSOME

    At least Fritz gives 100%

  7. I really don't understand the trade Evans talk?

It's not position of depth, so way trade Evans for a 2, 3 or 4 and have to use that draft pick on a WR?

Maybe if you get several (at least two), then maybe?

Right now we have top five pick in draft, with additional 4th and maybe sixth. the fourth will be 15th to mid 20's my guess of that round (111th to 130th).

  8. I am I missing something?

Does it appear that Chan is playing every lineman and combination in game situations? It was early in game and I noticed Woods and Bell out. I know 8-10 plays in thier not tired.

Same with defense. Is it because he can't get a good feel for personel because each line is going up against the worst in the NFL in practice? So he is using game time to evaulate players against real competition?

    Thoughts?

  9. This move should have happened in the offseason, during draft weekend, or anytime before the season started. It's embarassing getting a 4th round pick for a player that was drafted first round and has the talent. Everyone knew there would not be enough touches to go around having 3 quality backs. Showcase him in the preseason. Buddy and the whole front office are idiots(i don't know how any of them have jobs), and should have addressed this prior to the start of the season. You would look like an idiot then back in April/May just as you do now in October. Fire the entire FO!

Kelsay deal, are you kidding me!

Maybe they wanted to show case him in the preseason, but the nut sprained an ankle and could not play until week one, thus the show case. He also showed lack of team when he did not show for OTA etc. How do you trade a guy at that point. Chan show cased him and got a 4th and conditional pick (Nfl Network said a sixth). The Conditional is proably if Lynch does not get suspended.

  10. I think you Overestimate it. 30 is 30 the body wears no matter what, whether you are playing football or not. Plus Jackson is a small back at small backs dont last that long in this league anymore.

    FYI we turned a number 1 into a 4th rounder. . .

Kevin Faulk with New England is 34 and and averages between 4-5 yards per carry and 40+ catches. Every year.

Feddie is the best blitz pick back we have and if he splits the carrys, 34-35 is not out of the question.

    Just saying.

  11. The offense, especially the OL, did play better because of Fitz. Certainly, no one is claiming that Fitz is a legitimate franchise qb. But that isn't the point. Edwards was given every opportunity to prove that he was a capable starter. He didn't play up to that standard. So the organization moved on. Fitz demonstrated that if you decisively go into the play and trust yourself and your teammates it will have a positive affect on your offense. Having your qb hesitating and playing scared in a league in which defenses plays very fast is a recipe for disaster.

What I like about Gailey is that he is holding the players accountable. Hardy didn't come around so he was cut. Johnson was not playing well as a receiver so Parish replaced him as the second receiver. Don't be too surprised if not in the too distant future Cornell Green is replaced as a starter. He is atrocious.

Make no mistake about it the Bills have a long way to go before they become a serious team. That's okay. What is important right now is to manage your team in a very purposeful way. If you don't produce then another player will be given an opportunity to take over your position. Not tolerating bad play and reacting to it is setting a tone that in the long run will positively serve this team.

Wang starts in his place after the bye. That's what I am betting

  12. Just thinking, not saying! If you keep Edwards, Fritz, and Brohm you have the same QB's as last year and with that does Edwards start to worry if he hits a bump (like Green Bay) and have flash backs to last year, aways looking over your shoulder?

I think you have Edwards and Brown as #3. Kept Fritz or clean the slate and pick up a guy that knows he is the #2.

I don't like keeping all three from last years.

    JUST THINKING, NOT SAYING

  13. And the Bills will be #1 heading into the first game & when the squish the fish they will be guaranteed the #1 spot because they fall first alphabetically.

The alphabetical thing worries me. If we move to Niagara, we would be 3rd in the division. I think Ralph had that in mind when he located in Buffalo.

  14. At 2-1 the Bills are on top of the Division. With the 86 points scored we are Top 4 in scoring behind Green Bay, New Orleans, and New England.

Not bad and I just had to say it, because who knows how the season will turn out and when was the least time we could say that.

The defense is another story if I read correctly we are second to last with the 80 points we have given up.

I hope we can improve our opening drives and get points quick.
