  1. It's Time for Russ Brandon to go, HE is the common denominator to all these losing seasons, been here the whole time. He is letting the best safety in the league walk, once again after he claims he is commited to a winning team & building a winner...That is no way to win. He has let good player after good player walk out from Buffalo adn in most cases get nothing.....I'd rather not the list all the talent, too long of a list of players that HE let walk and went elsewhere & played in games to beat the bills. Enjoy the ride Russ, cause as soon as Ralph kicks & a new owner comes in , YOUR NFL career is over, no owner will keep you with your track record, terrible & all you do is give yourself a new title & a raise, while blah blah blah about how important winning is to this organization, YOU are so done with a new owner. Good Riddance & Finally the Bills will return to Winning!
  2. Guys, Do your homework, Pittsburgh can only afford about $5m a year, that's all they have left. Wallace is worth the #10 overall and $10 million a year for 3 years + Bonus $$$$$........If you wanna get out of the cellar, you gotta think big, stop thinking we can't do it and think we can and make it happen........Watch Wallace the next few years and you will see why he wants Big Money. Like I said earlier, any #10 overall pick is a risk vs. a proven talent, pull the trigger Buddy.
  3. Ok, Buddy you have done a decent job this off season with the defense, but if you wanna "Show Me The Baby", sign Free Agent Mike Wallace and give the Steelers our#1 at 10 overall. My reasoning is this, no matter who you draft at 10, that person has never played a down in the NFL and has about a 50/50 chance of being a bust. Mike Wallace has proven he can play at a high level and is the missing ingredient to a potent offense just like Mario was to the defense. Put Wallace along side Stevie and you now have 2 of the best that will compliment each other with different skill set. He is young and is getting better every year, can stretch a defense like very few in the NFL and will be able to for the next 5 years or so, while we make our Super Bowl run. Adding Mike Wallace will Give Coach Gailey another weapon that defenses (Jets, Pats, Fins) more trouble than they bargained for. It's a No Brainer Buddy, you cannot lose on this one, and it will put more asses in the seats!
  4. Rewind to Jan. 2010, Mike Shanahan refused to talk to the Bills about their Head Coaching job, and the Bills "Settled" for Chan Gailey (at Bill Cowher's urging). At the time both the Redskins & Bills teams were talent depleted and very bad teams. Since then, the Redskins traded for McNabb(Fleeced by Eagles) and have gone nowhere and once again look in dissaray. The Bills cut the old talent, and went young in a big way, "Show Me the Baby" says Buddy! Chan Gailey has done a masterful job with the talent at hand and this team will only get better as they get more experience, as for Shanahan, Glad you went to Redskins, they are heading in the wrong direction! It was fun Sunday to look at your crooked eye looking in disbelief!

  6. Finally we see the a draft conducted by Football people for the Bills. The new staff did a great job improving this team just like they said they would. Last year the offense was okay but the defense was pitiful, folks that is about to change. Combined with last years picks and this years picks, sprinkle in a few key free agents and you have a football team that will compete every time they take the field, with any team including the Pats & Jets and anybody else you want to mention. A TALKING PROUD BILLS fan for many years and I am looking forward to our young team that will be better than any team we have seen in many years, MARK IT DOWN!
  7. Can anyone tell me when did North Carolina become a Football Powerhouse, especially on Defense???? There were all kinds of players picked from that team especially on Defense including the Bills.....reminds me of the NC State year with McCargo and gang who were all busts.......Did all of our scouts just scout North Carolina.....come on guys you missed a lot of talent around the country................Modrak get off your lazy ass and resign, your a BUM!
  8. Modrak MUST GO! Let's look at his #1 Picks and see why this numbskull must go. Nix's own words,"#1 picks have to be contributors, you cannot afford to miss on that pick" Year Player College Position 2000 Erik Flowers Arizona State Defensive End (Gone, terrible pick) 2001 Nate Clements Ohio State Defensive Back (Gone, questionable pick, average NFL career) 2002 Mike Williams Texas Tackle (Gone,Possibly biggest bust ever, McKinnie on board at the time) 2003 Willis McGahee Miami (FL) Running Back (Gone,Terrible pick, sat out a year, at best average NFL career) 2004 Lee Evans Wisconsin Wide Receiver (Might be gone, so-so pick, jury is still out on NFL career) 2004 J.P. Losman Tulane Quarterback (Gone, Terrible pick, another bust) 2005 No 1st Round Pick, Roscoe Parrish (2nd Round) Miami (FL) Wide Receiver(ok for a 2nd round, below avg NFL career) 2006 Donte Whitner Ohio State Safety (avg NFL career, probably not coming back) 2006 John McCargo North Carolina State Defensive Tackle (BUST) 2007 Marshawn Lynch California Running Back (BUST, gone for a 3rd round pick) 2008 Leodis McKelvin Troy Defensive Back (maybe avg NFL career, jury is out on this one) 2009 Aaron Maybin Penn State Defensive End/Outside Linebacker (BUST, probably won't be in the NFL next year, Orapko was on the board at the time Maybin was selected ) this pick alone should get Madrak fired 2009 Eric Wood Louisville Center (Good Pick, the kid has promise, especially as a center) 2010 C.J. Spiller Clemson Running Back (Terrible pick with more needs at the time on OL & DL, LB, jury is out on him) So there you have it 4 of the last 10 years picks still on the team with only McKelvin, Wood and Spiller coming back next year. If Andrew Luck were somehow to slip to #3, this numbskull would pick some DB from Boise St. Wake up Buddy, you claim you are a football guy, send Modrak into retirement as so many Bills fans are waiting to see. It's are only hope, he a Donahoe guy and they never got it right.
  9. 10 Easy ways to Fix the Bills. 1. Trade Marshawn Lynch to Packers straight up for AJ Hawk. addition by subtraction, prompote Joique Bell from Paractice squad, start Hawk ASAP, rotate Fred Jackson, Spiller, Bell as a backup. A huge upgrade at LB. 2. Trade for Vincent Jackson, offer San Diego what they want, with him & Evans, you got 2 very good receivers. 3. Trade for Haynesworth and start him as an end, we have no pash rush and he will fix that. 4. Trade for and sign Mankins from the Pats, start him at right guard, move Wood to right tackle and the New guy to Left Tackle, they will be able to run the football and will be much improved. Without any line upgrade, you have no way of knowing if your QB is the guy or not. 5. Use Spiller, Jackson and Parrish on the field at the same time, remember you have to account for speed. 6. Blitz....Blitz.....Blitz.......there is no way this defense could be any worse. Just look at Pittsburgh, Jets, Ravens, in order to put pressure on a QB you have to send more guys than they have for blocking, Our DB's are suppose to be the strength of this team, make them earn it, what the hell do you have to lose?? 7. Don't be afraid to rotate QB's during a game, you have 3 QB's on the roster and I would say we need to go with the hot hand if there is one, stop worrying about Trent's confidence, it's long gone. Scour the waiver wire for a suitable back up. 8. special teams need to improve field psotion on both returns and returns against, come on Dehaven pull it together 9. Turn the play calling over to the new guy and see if he can do any better, if he doesn't, take it back 10. ALWAYS KEEP a TIGHT END in to BLOCK, NOT an OPTION! 8.
  10. Please do not take this from me, go to Bills Camp, a very enjoyable experience and watch the 4 QB's doing all the drills. You will see what Chan has seen, Trent Edwards is heads and shoulders better than the other 3. This is very easy to see in all facets. Trent will be fine running a Run 1st attack that Gailey is known for , and imagine this they are finding ways to get the ball to Parrish, what a thought. I am not saying this turn around is going to happen in 1 year, but the camp is run compared to previous years, it is night and day. Our only concern will be if Trent gets hurt, maybe Brohm will develop into a capable back up. I think Fitz gets cut due to making too much money.
  11. Are you Kidding me, the front office cut loose many players including an OT that Pittsburgh signed , and to date we have hosted an OL that signed with Texans and we signed a Raider so/so starter. The front office had better get busy, cause we don't have very many draft picks....certainly not enough to plug all the holes.....Get busy boys spend some of Ralph's money he was gonna pay Cowher and at the VERY LEAST bring in some players for workouts.......Season Ticket Payment due......I just don't know...........anybody else feel this way???
  12. I am with you.Mark it Down Tim Tebow will be 1 helluva Pro QB. He is a winner and will do whatever is asked to modify his game, you cannot measure Heart and nobody has more.
  13. Still Waiting for this current Braintrust to bring in some Free Agents, at least for visits........every other team is looking at available palyers and so far we have brought in 1 average offensive lineman from Kansas City.......What the Hell Buddy, what are you waiting for them to call you??? and beg you to let them play for Buffalo??? Your new regime is off to a great start in Free agency......QB still up in the air, 2 OT on the roster, NO NT and we are going to 3-4.......unloaded any WR depth we had........... Buddy, Chan & the Gang.......GET with it, Free Agency opened last Friday and the draft is 6 weeks away........they will not just fall off the plane...........call some of those San Diego guys, pick up the Baltimore LT for a 1st rounder, proven talent, anything for God's sake show us you have a pulse.....Ralph is asking for down payments for season tickets and from what 've been told sales are EXTREMELY SLOW!
  14. Ok Bills fans, we have heard all the whining and crying about our team. Let's move forward and get this team fixed and the guys that are now in control are going to do just that, pay attention here is how it will happen in 10 easy steps 1. Sign best available OT in free agency 2. Draft best available OT in 1st round 3. Sign best available NT or DT in free agency 4. Teach Trent Edwards how to read defenses and protect the ball , Coach Gailey's very good at this. 5. Moving Maybin to OLB in 3-4, with Poz & Mitchell on inside, need 1 other ball hawk, watch for kid from Georgia Tech 6. Sign a decent WR in Free agency, several out there 7. Get in Marshawn's head and teach him how to act like a Pro athlete 8. Draft Tebow late 3rd or 4th if he there, will be a good Pro QB with some coaching (Gailey's specialty) With the existing Offensive line players (resign Incognito) and these additions, and a coach that can teach Trent, you will see a lot of improvement, with these additions the defense will also improve, with a few things here and there, this team can improve quickly, it may take a few years to get to the Super Bowl but they will get there.....Mark it Down!
  15. Well put and add in Gailey as a longtime successful football guy and you will see vast improvement
  16. Ok everybody has had their say about Chan Gailey and Buddy Nix, let's look ahead and watch them work. 1st of all with Buddy making the player personnel calls, both free agents and draft picks the Bills 2010 team will be more talented, period. Offense-With a more talented squad and an offensive head coach that knows what he's doing not Van Pelt, who just left broadcasting you will see a vast improvement, trust me it won't take much. Add in a talented tackle and experienced QB, and wahla it will be way better than last year, this one's easy. Defense-On the defensive side of the ball, depending who he hires, it will be a 3-4 man, he has already tipped his hand that he likes that and our whole division is using it, they may or may not be better, if healthy they will be better. add in a free agent or 2 who have 3-4 experience and they won't be bad. Special Teams-Depending on who he hires, and Gailey has experience, they could actually be better than this year, not sure where they finished, but if memory serves me, they weren't all that special, with Moorman and Lindell, they are a great start and I think they will at least be as good as this year. These are Football guys, something that has been lacking way too long at OBD, they will get it done and I for 1 am looking forward to it, all you guys turning in your tickets, thank you I'll be moving closer to the 50 yard line!
  17. From a source deep within the organization Russ Grimm is the #1 target for being the next Bills Head Coach. Grimm was the finalist to Mike Tomlin in Pittsburgh and many feel Pittsburgh took the wrong guy. Welcome to Buffalo - Russ
  18. I say the hell with Brian Shotty, Marty Shotty, Ron Rivera and any other coach who thumbs his nose at the Head Coach position of the Buffalo Bills, DO YOU HEAR MR BILL COWHER?? Not too long ago (for us older guys) , this franchise went to 4 straight Super Bowls, this is a franchise that has been and can be successful, remember thos eback to back 2-14 seasons, which made the Super Bowl years that much better. The current state of the Bills reminds me of that. Let me put this out there, we do not have to beg a coach to come here, and Buddy Nix make that a part of the interview, as the old codger said, we need a guy that will be a part of the community! The 1st step to restoring this team has alredy been done with hiring of Buddy Nix, a Football guy that we have not had since Butler, AJ and Nix left. It takes talent evaluation and selection to make a good team, along with some proven talent via free agency and you will see how quick this turns around. Yeah an experienced coach is important, but a coach who has fire and passion and wants to bleed Buffalo Bills Blood is our guy....now go find him Buddy!
  19. I keep hearing on here that no previous Super Bowl winning coach has never done it with another team. Please keep in mind that in order to win a Super Bowl you MUST make the playoffs to begin with. If we are lucky enough to get Bill Cowher and he gets the Bills in the playoffs and returns the organization back to respectability, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! From that point it takes a little luck to win the Super Bowl and then you explore your options, BUT after 10 years with no playoffs and the orginazation in COMPLTETE Dissarray, bringing in a coach that will fix this mess has to be the priority. YOU GOTTA WALK BEFORE YOU RUN!
  20. How in the hell can Leslie Frazier be ahead of 2 stealth meetings with Bill Cowher.......Peter King is a moron!
  21. Given the current state of the Bills, and the VERY LONG PLAYOFF Drought, I would take a Head Coach with experience getting teams to playoffs over a maybe coordinator any day, remember you cannot get to the Super Bowl if you are not in the Playoffs, please tell me you understand that.
  22. Buddy Nix, stick to your word and hire a Head Coach who has Head Coach experience. Do not take a chance on a maybe coordinator, go with a proven Head Coach, there is NO substitute for experience. Ralph has given you the keys to the Vette, Don't blow it or you'll be 1 and done. Available Head Coaches with HEAD COACHING EXPERIENCE 1. Bill Cowher 2. John Gruden 3. Brian Billick 4. Dennis Green 5. Jimmy Johnson 6. Steve Mariucci 7. Cam Cameron (will be a good head coach, master at offensive) 8. Marty Schottenheimer 9. Dick Vermeil 10. Mike Martz Anything but a maybe coordiantor ..........Greg Williams, Mike Malarkey..........PLEASE!!!!!
  23. Take a list of league wide free agents, it won't take much to replace the 2nd rate talent we have.
  24. Ok Buddy Nix & Ross, call me after you read this I got a lot more ideas for ya. 1. Hire an experienced Head Coach, NO maybe coordinators. 1st question to them do you WANT to coach the Buffalo Bills back to the super bowl? Here's my top 5 to start with, A. Bill Cowher (ONLY if he is eager to be in Buffalo) B. John Gruden (offensive strength) C. Brian Billick (offensive strength) D. Cam Cameron (offensive strength) E. Steve Mariucci (offensive strength) 2. Fire Modrak & Guy, worst possible talent evaluators in league, start fresh ( call your buddies in San Diego) 3. Call Ted Marchibroda and inquire if he is interested in an advisor role or Offensive Coordinator 4. Scour the Free agent market for the 2 best Offensive tackles, you have 3 good guards and a good center. 5. Scour the Free agent market for the 2 best Defensive tackles, sign them and cut Kelsay, Denney and let Schobel retire. 6. Hire a proven strength and conditioning coach, this team is weak and gets hurt way beyond normal #'s, SOFT, gets pushed around and is terrible at tackling. 7. Trade Marshawn Lynch ASAP, take whatever you can get for him, before he is suspended for next year 8. QB.....understand it is by far THEE MOST IMPORTANT POSITION IN FOOTBALL. We currently have at best 3 second rate QB's. Look to free agency for a veteran to work with a 3rd to 4th round draft pick this year, plenty of good QB's this year, don't reach into the 1st round for 1. With a good line, Edwards/Fitz/Brohm/Gibran might be okay, but won't get you to the promised land ( SUPER BOWL) look at all the playoff teams this year and they all have good QB's, it's simple. Call me if you need names available in draft 9. Linebacker.......Linebacker..........Linebacker.........This is a position with Poz that can make this defense better quick. Maybin either makes the switch or he's out, he will not be a DE in this league and the guys that thought that do not know what the hell their doing. Mitchell is ok, I'd dump his salary and look to free agency. Dump Ellison, too small 10. Wide Reciever- Dump TO, waste of money, past his prime. Let Josh Reed and Parrich go. Evans is for real, look to free agency for a decent possession receiver, Steve Johnson (next Austin) and Jenkins will develop and keep Hardy, Nelson was a good fine, will develop and look at free agency and dump the other 6 tight ends on the roster. Ok that's it for now, look for the next 10 things coming soon, or Buddy/Ross just call me
  25. Ok I know what your thinking, the whole thing is a mess and how can it be fixed so easy. 1. Call Mike Homgren ask him what it will take to take over football operations, coaching optional, get him on board asap to evaluate the team talent the rest of this season to prepare for next year. If Holmgren won't call Marty Schottenheimer. 2. Fire Dick Jauron, Modrak and Guy, keep Brandon if you choose to keep him in marketing. Promote Bobby April to Head Coach for this season. Keep Van Pelt and Fewell for now. 3. Trade Terrel Owens, Roscoe Parrish and Marshawn Lynch for the Best available Offensive and Defensive Lineman or best available draft picks. 4. Run a 2 tight end Offense using Nelson as the starter and use Jackson and Oman to run the ball, scrap the no huddle that allows other teams to substitute. Read play ball control, good defense and special teams. Give the O-Line time to develop. 5. Rotate Edwards and Fitzpatrick to see if either has what it takes to be a QB in this league. 6. Convert Maybin to a Linebacker as he will never be a DE, too small, sink or swim as a LB. 7. Start as many Rookies as possible to see what they got for next season and beyond. 8. Convert Defense to a 4-3, man to man press coverage and Blitz, Fewell please watch a Baltimore tape or now Jets tape. 9. Sign a blocking Fullback or convert 1 of those useless TE's and teach em how to block, keep them in every play. 10. Ralph issue an apology for retaining a 3 year 7-9 coach and the front office, promise to bring Professional Football back to Buffalo, before it's too late and the fan base says PLEASE take this sorry team to Toronto, except if you read what they are saying they don't want them either.
