1. The classic "irritating" employee is the one who won't STFU!  No matter how many times you say okay or all right, they keep right on going with diarrhea of the mouth.  In most cases you have to get up and walk away.   Every company has one or more of these folks.

    296300

The smart ones learn not to engage those individuals in conversation at all costs. Keep all responses to one word minimums to avoid any chance of extending communication longer than necessary.

  2. Today is the official Slap Your Irritating Co-workers Holiday:

Do you have a co-worker who talks nonstop about nothing, working your last

nerve with tedious and boring details that you don't give a damn about? Do

you have a co-worker who ALWAYS screws up stuff creating MORE work for you?

Do you have a co-worker who kisses so much butt, you can look in their

mouth and see what your boss had for lunch? Do you have a co-worker who is

SOOO obnoxious, when he/she enters a room, everyone else clears it?

Well, on behalf of Ike Turner, I am so very very glad to officially

announce tomorrow as SLAP YOUR IRRITATING CO-WORKER DAY! Here are the rules

    you must follow:

    * You can only slap one person per hour - no more.

    * You can slap the same person again if they irritate you again in the same

    day.

    * You are allowed to hold someone down as other co-workers take their turns

    slapping the irritant.

    * No weapons are allowed...other than going upside somebody's head with a

    stapler or a hole-puncher.

    * CURSING IS MANDATORY! After you have slapped the recipient, your

"assault" must be followed with something like "cause I'm sick of your

    stupid-a$$ always messing up stuff!"

    * If questioned by a supervisor [or police, if the supervisor is the

irritant], you are allowed to LIE, LIE, LIE!

Now, study the rules, break out your list of folks that you want to slap the

living day lights out of and get to slapping.....and have a great day

  3. i agree that Heller is involved as well.  unless William Devane has a contract issue and suddenly disappeared from the program all together.

I can just see it....episode 24:  It is all revealed.  William Devane plays himself....as the evil twin of SOD Heller.

    295951

One small problem that I have with Heller being involved is that while he and his daughter were held captive, he tried to commit suicide to prevent his "trial" by the terrorists from happening. if there is not trial and execution, then is kind of messes up the terrorists plans.

  4. The level of detail included in each episode is staggering, and it is a testiment to the maniacal nature of us LOST fans that we will continue to post day after day with each little bit of info we can extract from each episode.

it is also not very predicatable, unlike most television shows.

  5. This week Time had an article on the five shows that you should be watching:

    The Shield  FX

    Lost  ABC

    House Fox

    Veronica Mars UPN

    Battlestar Galactica  SCIFI network

All are great shows and Veronica Mars is one of the best, I cannot believe this show is so low in the ratings.

    291914

I have tried to watch the Battlestar Galactica show, but I have a hard time getting past the fact that this is supposed to be about and alien society, but it mirrors American culture so much that it is distracting to me.

  6. I know this is a pretty dead thread, but

I called this one before the end of tonight's show: Marwan is going to try and take down Air Force One.  Which brings up a problem I have had with the show for the entirety of the season.  Why has the president been in the air for 12 fugging hours?  Slightly ridiculous, to say the least.  And a big waste of jet fuel.

    274826

I would think the President would be safe in some place like NORAD.

I'm telling you...we'll be playing a "home" game in Toronto within the next few years.  I HATE this idea.  Preseason games are one thing, but regular season games should NOT be moved around.

    275567

The "home" team has to recieve some type of compensation form the league, beacuse the home field advantage can be an extremely large factor in a game.

  8. BA: Hamilton College - 2001 (famous Alumni: ...Alexander Hamilton? )

I don't think so, if I remember correctly AH went to Kings College (now known as Columbia University).

  9. Just heard on ESPN Radio Sportscenter that the NFL is expecting to announce a regular season game outside of the United States as soon as the 2005 season. It is expected to be in Mexico City, not Toronto. So I guess that the Bills won't be a part of this, thank God.

Sorry if this was posted before.

    270645

I saw a report on ABC news earlier this week on the NSACAR Race held in Mexico this past weekend and wondered if the NFL would try to do the same thing. In the past they have held pre-season games in Mexico City.

My guess is that one of the teams might be the Cowboys.

    GO BILLS 2005 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. At least I'll be honest and up front with you all:

I'll start chanting it before preseason is over if Holcomb is clearly outshining JP in camp.

It's all about winning. And if Holcomb is doing some special things at QB, there's no point in wasting the other 52 players' time and the fans' time and Ralph's time.

Five straight seasons without a playoff appearance. If Holcomb gives us a better chance at breaking that streak in 2005, then I'm all for Holcomb.

    268493

Hey, if the team is winning, Sam Adams could QB the team for all I care.

  11.

Anyone notice in the scene with Jim's (the blind guy) wife after his first day on the job, they blurred out her green shirt? What was up with that?

    267349

I was wondering about that as well, it seemed very odd.

  12. I thought it was pretty good stuff. The fight was pretty entertaining. This show has some potential. The last two guys face off for a million dollar purse.

    266719

I skipped it, I don't really care too much for reality TV. I have also been greatly annoyed by the tag line in the commercial claiming it is the next great "human drama". As opposed to what? Are there a lot of animal drama's I am not aware of or is there a network that is producing some inhuman drama's.

  13. and what plants do you grow ????? how big ?? i stoped having a garden 6 years ago.now i just stop at the farmers stand .

    235343

We usually plant some Green Peppers, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Lettuce, and Squash.

Each year we also end up with some potatos that have grown from the peelings that had thrown in the garden for composting.

  14. I.

I guess i will take a hiatus from the Drew Bashing, but i just cant handle people making him out to be the golden boy still, and wanting to blame to oline.

    41308

There is plenty of blame to go around. The o-line did play badly, giving up sacks back to back holding penalties and the 4th & 1 goal line play. Drew had a bad day, some of the passes were off and he did not throw the ball away when he should have. And what about Special Teams, there were a couple of costly penalties with that unit.

  16. Having a bye in week 3 seems to be really advantageous for us this year. With all the injuries and banged up players, having that week off will give us a little more breathing room and time to heal up our players. My only hope is that we don't experience anymore injuries from now til then...

I was thinking the same thing. Plus it is also convenient that it falls on the weekend of my wedding anniversary.
