I have a gut feeling that the following will happen:
1. Trade down from 9 to somewhere in the teens (like 15) and get a 2nd round pick: Hockenson
2. Take acquired 2nd round pick and package with our own 2nd to move up into the first: Tillery/Lawrence

I guess we can all stop watching tape of Garrett Bradbury and Erik McCoy

Because getting older is a worse option than getting younger. Ivory being released has nothing to do with putting a value on Frank Gore. They are wasting time with old RBs instead of using the spot on a guy who might breakout.
You have no idea if they're drafting an RB or not. That narrative can be revisited after the draft. No point in jumping the gun now. I do agree that we do need to draft a young rb and groom them. You now have 2 of the best

He was ailing at the end of the season........I figured his days were numbered.
I will trade him for First Ballot Frank any day and EVERY Sunday.
Agreed, I don't know why everyone is freaking out. Cutting Ivory saves like 2 mill cap. Its a wash, and I'd rather have Gore.

Ivory likely cut IMO

Daryl Williams 5 years 60 mill

This post will be largely ignored in this giant thread, but if you follow this story, you will see that the deal fell apart b/c Brown refused to come to Buffalo.
This is a serious problem for this organization and, contrary to popular opinion at this forum, the Bills cannot overcome this simply by throwing around money. Everyone has money to throw around, and for many, Buffalo is regarded as the worst landing spot in the league. If not dead last, certainly bottom 3.
Hence why it is really important that Josh takes big time strides this year.
However, I do think the weather/city shortcomings are seriously overblown... The facilities, coaches, team culture, camaraderie and the fans are all top notch, and if anyone is making a choice based on anything other than those aspects (aside from $, which we have), then I don't want them on my team anyway!

Captain Munnerlyn just released by Carolina...

Assuming we strike out in FA on a C, this would be a fantastic draft.

More of a luxury than a need right now... but TJ Hockenson all day..
However, could lessen the need of having an outstanding RT... could be interesting in a trade down perhaps.

Just draft TJ Hockenson and you have your blocking and pass catching TE for 10+ years

Saffold doesn't need coaching.
Agreed, he needs convincing. Doesn't hurt to have his old OL coach on the team

Also coached Rodger Saffold back in Indiana. Maybe a strategic move to lure him and Glowinski from Indy?
Why not?
Besides, what the hell do we know...

Bills need a run blocking TE with upside as a receiver to aid in the run game. Not the other way around.

Not to mention Wilkerson now out for the year. Run the ball!

It isn’t as easy to identify DB talent as you make it think
sure everybody can see that a guy like Lattimore was good. But a guy like Josh Norman was overlooked to the 5th round. Malcolm Butler UDFA and I can name a lot others
on the flip a lot of early corners have not panned out as #1 guys like DJ Hayden .
You need to find a scheme fit
Agree, Norman slipped because he didn't test very fast and he was considered solely a zone corner. Ended up being a very good one at that.
I bet Tre White wouldn't be as good in man and press.

Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady?
LOL cmon man

The draft is where hope springs eternal... and about week 12 is where it goes to die..

Tribinsky didn't start for the Bears day 1, Watson didn't start for the Texans day 1, Aaron Rogers didn't start for the pack day 1........sooooooo...I don't agree w you on that statement.
Watson started week 2 after having played the second half of the 1st game... I really doubt the Bills dealt Tyrod to draft a project and have a career backup start week 1. I believe they would have kept Taylor if they want to have a rookie QB sit.

I don't think he is who the Bills covet.
Face of the matter is the QB we select must be ready to start Day 1. Only QBs who fit that mold are Darnold, Rosen and maybe Mayfield.
