  1. Chandler: A couple years ago this guy was running great routes, creating separation and making plays..usually in chunks of 12-15 yards. I know he's coming off of an ACL, but he's playing scared. Maybe I'm overreacting, but the play that sticks out was this past week where he caught the ball in the flats and rather than turning it up field, he turned, saw the defenders and curled up in a ball. I think he had another drop down the seam , in traffic, which again leads to the fear.

Graham: We draft Goodwyn...Graham steps up his game in camp...Goodwyn goes down...Graham is unseen.

    Bring on...

Grag...They drafted him as a receiving TE, but he showed, in pre-season, he can block too. This week’s match up seems to lend to the fact we're gonna need both, without having to sub Chandler and Smith in and out. Let's see what the kids got in live action.

Easley...He's big, showed up well in pre-season and can't be any less visible than Graham...right?

Chandler - I don't think Chandler is 100% healthy yet and he would of had a huge touchdown last week but EJ missed him.

Graham - If you listen to Joe B. it seems like Graham isn't part of the gameplan. Hopefully this changes and we can get him more involved.

Gragg - Been inactive, how can you be disappointed in a player who hasn't been active for a game. Shows he's not ready but we kept him for a reason and he can be part of the future.

Easely - Showed a lot in the preseason as part of the 2nd and 3rd teams. Right now we have WR's that are healthy and deserve to be playing over him. I believe he will get involved as we expand the playbook for EJ.

Remember how Russell Wilson and the Seahawks started last year? Russell had a limited playbook and their offense expanded as the season went on. I think you will see the same thing here.

  2. '87 was regarded as a good draft.

I was just looking through that and I would have to agree. Ballard was a steal in the 7th round.

Honestly, it is pretty pathetic looking at all the misses the Bills have had in the past 10 years. Buddy has been better but still average compared to the talent evaluation we had in the late 80's through the 90's.

How in the hell did we draft Gary Anderson and he not make the team in '82? Now that was the year I was born but come on. I just looked up our kicker from that season and we had two different kickers and both were terrible.

Ugh I just had a flashback of Super Bowl XXV and replaced Norwood with Anderson in my head as our kicker...

  3. Been watching the Bills since '89 when I was just becoming old enough to comprehend the game with my father. The success and failures of the early 90's made me even more of a fan of this team and I have followed them religiously ever since.

Everything is cyclical in sports. Unfortunately our failures have been a little longer than normal but we will experience success again and when we do the fact that I have stuck by this team through it all over the last 24 years of my life will make it even sweeter when we do.

  4. Unfortunately due to the location of my condo I am unable to get an angle to get Direct TV so Time Warner/Insight continues to stick it to me.

Due to that I will be making Rooties off of Westport Rd. my home for all Bills games this year. I am fairly new to Louisville and discovered this bar mid-season last year and went there for a few games.

The food is excellent and the drinks are cold. The TV's leave something to be desired but to experience the game among other Bills fans is always a pleasure.

Below you will find their site.

I didn't see them listed here in this section so I'm not sure if anyone else is from the area on this board but if you let me know and if you visit Rooties for the game.

  5. Ok ... I feel like I do when I get pulled into the Peter Pan link.

From all acounts Mike Jasper is a quality human being! He apparently is dating a gal from North Tonawanda. He is really working hard to become an NFL level player.

All that being said ... when you look at our offensive line's depth I find it very difficult to imagine a situation where Jasper makes it to the final 53. I would assumee that he will be groomed for another year on the PS.

Would be great if I am wrong because this Bills' team is all about quality character players who can really play the game. If he made the squad because he has elevated his talent to that next level it would be reason to celebrate!

Now as for these threads and links about '# whatever is the most important player' on the Bills ... I am not going to add any additional visits to that blog, which I now have found two times to be very limited in scope, insight and newsworthyness.

First of all this is a blog and I believe its meant to be humorous. Now if you couldn't see that just don't visit the site. I like the site. +1 FTG.

  6. I'm a broken record on this topic, but (a) having "stars" at LB is not important in this defense; and (b) the Bills are absolutely fine at the position. You have two experienced, proven vets in Barnett and Morrison, and a guy (Shep) Barnett has projected will be "great."

It seems every time I ask this question, nobody answers: name more than one starting linebacker for the NY Giants without looking it up?

Heck, I can't name him but wasn't the guy that had an interception (MLB I believe) in the SB a UFA pickup mid-season? I agree with this point. My only concern is with how young our CB's are. I like our upside but we are very young at corner.

  7. Being an SEC guy (UK Alum) I've been able to see Jeffery quite frequently over the past few seasons. Jeffery is a better WR than Sidney Rice (they've followed similar paths and came from the same offense) was and for a majority of his career in college he had a drunk throwing to him in Stephen Garcia. Jeffery played a little larger in college than at his pro day and he was able to get away with it as his seperation and leaping ability on jump balls is exceptional. Mayock was in absolute love with this guy after his pro day and as long as he keeps his weight down in the NFL and plays at the weight he showed at his pro day I think he could be a fine choice.

Now with that being there are other receivers with similar builds (Brian Quick from Appy St., Marvin McNutt) who could add to the position and could be available in the 2nd or 3rd round. Now if they are looking for a receiver who is a burner you would have to take a look at T.Y. Hilton out of FIU. Kid is a playmaker and is a little bigger than Roscoe was. I wouldn't rule him out as a possibility as Chan seemed to really like a healthy Roscoe and if we want someone to stretch the field this guy can do it.

And as for our number 1 pick I'd be happy with Glenn. I agree with other posters who have stated this guy may be the 2nd best tackle in the draft. He has the body to be a LT and his upside is there as he has only really played 1 year at the position and in a tough SEC. Remember Buddy likes SEC.
