  1. Bills fans and WNYers in general are very pessimistic and never skip the chance to run someone out of town or into the ground rather than band together for a collective effort.

Do you realize what you've just done? You've uncovered the real reason why the Bills haven't been to the playoffs in 10 years. It's time that Bills fans everywhere unite. For indivudally we are one drop, but together, we are an ocean.

Indeed, beating the Patriots and making the playoffs may seem daunting, but together we can make miracles happen. Starting tomorrow we will begin our march on Foxborough, and we will not be returning until we destroy the Patriots with our optimisim and happy thoughts.

  2. Lee Evans will finish the year 4th on the team in catches, coming in behind Owens, Jackson, and Reed.

Jairus Byrd will finish with more INTs then Donte Whitner...probably 1-0.

Chris Ellis will have more sacks on the year then Aaron Maybin.

The Bills will be 9-6 and on the verge of a Wild card berth heading into the final game of the season. Playing against Indy's second stringers at Home, the Colts, lead by Donald Brown and Jim Sorgi, go on to win the game 29-24, knocking the Bills out of the playoff picture.

  3. I guess it's time to run another qb out of town since kelly retired, how many does that make, like 8?

If the Bills were to give Edwards the rest of the season would that be enough for you or would we still be running another QB outta town. I can see your point though...seeing as all those guys we ran outta town did go on to have stellar careers.

  4. As bad as this team has been in all phases for so long I still cant believe Ralph Wilson made the HOF...The BS starts and ends with him..If he would hire someone that could run a team we wouldnt be in this freaking mess....

I couldn't agree more. Ralph makes the decisions as to who his GM is and how much control they have. Bring in a proven GM, and step away....this stuff is management 101 for owners. Ralph has his hands all over this team and it shows. From the time when his daughter was one of our head scouts to the circle of trust we have going on now.

People like to link Ralph's inability to give total control to Tom Donahoe, but when we actually had a good thing with Polian, Ralph stepped in and put an end to it. And why? Because Polian couldnt get along with Ralph and his daughter...personal feelings shouldn't go into business decisions, but with the Bills and Ralph this will never happen. Until Ralph passes away, or hires a proven GM/President and gives them total control, this team will not go anywhere.

  5. The Bills are looking like one of the most unprepared teams in the NFL so far this preseason. Too many penalities...I can't remember the last time the Bills offense has crossed the 50, and our D has looked like have taken a step back. If this continues into the season I really hope Jauron gets the ax midseason if they dont improve. Let another coach see what he has on the current roster and get them ready for next year.

  6. I've torn my rotator cuff and labrum twice...once during HS baseball and again playing football in college. Both injuries mirrored what happened to Brady last night - arm extended, landing on the side. Not to mention, I was only diving on both occasions...I didn't have Albert Haynesworth landing on top of me.

Landing on your arm the way Brady did is the easiest way to dislocate your shoulder. If he even has a minor tear he will be placed on the PUP...major tear = IR.

  7. 10.5 points in the beginning of the season is like 20 mid-season. There are always too many question marks for the first couple games to justify huge spreads. I would go with the Patriots -10.5 since it's in New England on Monday Night. I have faith in the no-huddle but that will be a tough first test with the crowd noise. However, the Bills have lost by more than 7 only once in the past 4 years while at NE.

  8. Not to mention, I really can't see the Bills retooling the offensive line anymore this season. In the offseason I would love to see Eric Wood back at center, with Bell at LT, Levitre at LG, Butler at RG, Walker at RT, and Hangartner backing up the interior line like he did at Carolina. However, if the line plays well this year there is no reason to change anything. There is still a whole season of actual football that needs to be played first.

  9. Langston Walker is actually one of the better pass blockers on our team. People tend to assume that because of his size he would be a better run blocker, but in reality his size works against him in the run game.

At 6'8" he has trouble gaining leverage on opponents in the run game and rarely drives guys to the second level. Whereas in the pass game, if he gets a hand on the opposing defensive end, it's a long way around his edge to get to the quarterback with his massive reach.

Sean Kugler quote on Langston - "Langston is an accomplished pass blocker at both right and left tackle. He is a talented pass protector. He knows he has to improve on some things in the run game."

  10. Davefan66 beat me to the punch on the McIntyre situation. I feel that the Bills want to see if he can handle being the 3rd running back during Lynch's supspension. However, if they are just trying trying to let him get some stuff on film then that needs to stop because Rhodes and Omon could definitely use more touches before the season starts.

I think going with McIntyre as the 3rd RB/FB would be the bills best option. There is no need for this team to carry 4 RBs at the start of the season and while Schouman is a good inline blocker i have seen him whiff on the 2nd level to many times for him to by a hybrid.

  11. All humor aside (and I know its tough when watching this), but Trent Edwards is not the face of our franchise...if he doesn't prove himself this year he is pretty much done. Including this year, he has two years left on his contract and hasnt done anything to deserve an extension, and thats why he should have played at least a half tonight.

I think Trent has potential but this o-line cant be used as an excuse for all his errors. He had a perfect pocket on his interception and threw it well after Evans made his cut...something he does all too often. Let the kid play and see if he has what it takes...if he gets hurt he gets hurt.
