  1. you don't happen to know when those tackles happened. not against Aaron Rodgers or Ryan Grant, perhaps.

oh, there it is, way in the back, final two series.

-- he tackled T.Sutton (actually pushed out of bounds) after 10 yard gain.

-- he tackled Lumpkin after 5 yard gain.

-- and he tackled Sutton again after 5-yard gain. ... Packers did score on the one series he was in.

again, I have nothing against Etukeren, and hope he has a fulfilling future. but once again, rginal, your comparisons are somewhat lost on me.

hey, here's a comparison you might like, i'm guessing Etukeren has had more tackles this preseason than Bruce Smith did in most preseasons. does that mean the two are equal?

I wrote, "He was only in for a few plays at the end of the game."

Etukeren was NOT IN the game when the Packers scored....check the replay.

Thought it was sadly fitting that T. Edwards was credited with the same number of tackles as Kelsay, Denney, & Schobel.....didn't YOU? Source: ESPN Webs

When in Pittsford, where did you go drinking...Thirsty's, Jo Jo's?

    Spellcheck time.

  2. Our man, #71 Etukeren had 2 solo tackles/1 assist...he was only in for a few plays at end of the game...not bad!

    The following is amazing;

    Kelsay - 1 tackle

    Denney - 1 tackle

    Schobel -1 tackle

    Trent Edwards - 1 tackle

  3. if that's the case Rginal, let me proceed by answering some of your questions by saying ...

some say yes, others question the writing part, though i think you would have been better to have written

"Awkward Shmalkward" though i'm not sure why an apparent silent "L" needs to be in there, which leads to your point about ...

... to which i say, no, it's not english composition class, but you fail to score points by misspelling players' names and then make the biggest mistake by referring to this as a ...

because it leads us all to wonder, which half you're on, and how much schnapps (schnalpps? silent L again perhaps) you've consumed?

zzzzzzzzzzzzz....John, going back and forth with you, over spelling, etc. is a f**ing waist. I don't have the time, energy, or desire to be as witty as you. Let's just hope we'll find a "diamond in the rough" with Etukeren, or we get Maybin in here ASAP. Agreed.

  4. i attended a few sessions here and there but, for the life of me, i couldn't tell you what number the guy is. sure, he's got potential, they all have potential. but to equate his size and speed to that of Maybin, as you awkwardly did in the original post, might be considered somewhat of a stretch.

and how could i forget the spelling comments, it's what's made this thread tolerable. but that's me.

Whatever with the leaving a "e" or "d" out of a guy's name.....what are you a professional writer? Awkward smalkward...what are we in english composition class?...it's a half drunken message board.

Seriously, I went to one night practice this year. Etukeren's #71. We noticed him in one on one drills....made some nice quick moves....me and my buddy said to each other, who the **** is this # 71 guy?

  5. Schobel - old, small, coming off injury, may have a little left?

Kelsay - Done, nothing there, whether he makes team or not---no hope to ever be anything special

Denney - Decent second string guy, no hope to ever be anything special

Copelanddddddd Bryan- to slow to ever be anything special, grinder at best

Ellis -still has potential, but, has shown nothing special to this point

Maybin - unsigned? Something potentially very wrong???

Etukeren - Has speed, still a mystery, he may suck, hope he turns out to be something special, I'm rooting for him to be a player....Why wouldn't every Bills Fan?? What the hell else do we have??

  6. Does this mean we don't have to be mad at Poz anymore for the bad leadership?

    Copelan Bryan 6-4 253 (currently) / 40 Yard Dash - 2006 NFL Combine - 4.98 (one of slowest times of all the DE's) vs. Etukeren's 4.63.

Hey, Bryan's also not very big, but he sure is alot slower!

    Source-Internets

  7. Maybin 6-4 250lbs, 4.72 to 4.78/ 40 yd dash

    Etukeren 6-3 245, 4.68 to 4.79 /40 yd dash (4.63 low)

I like the guy. I know he tripped over himself in Chicago game. He was playing balls to the wall. He also made some nice plays/quarterback pressures. Showed good speed. Knocked the qb down on one play.

Only been in camp a couple weeks. Hopes he makes practice squad. Outside linebacker potential?

    Great name too!

  8. 1. Schobel looks not big (almost like safety size). legs are small too. However, he easily beat Langston twice in the same series. Langston blatantly held him both times to prevent the would be sack.

    2. #87 Shaine Smith had a rough night. Dropped at least three passes, needs to put on weight/more strength.

    3. My most surprising observation of the night was, I watched a defensive end chop down and with good speed impressively swoop around a tackle at least twice in a the same series of drills, then took a helluva freaken beeline to the quarterback, it was #71 Ataefiok Etukeren. The guy is an excellent looking athlete...he could be a player.

    4. the rookie tight end, Nelson might be the real deal. he looks big on the field, not thin by any means. He made a nice running catch over the middle where he had to turn 180 degrees & go up somewhat for the ball, and he kept his momentum turning/moving forward in a straightline, for a nice run after the catch.

    5. Linebackers are very athletic. seem to be on the small size overall. For a couple of guys who have never seen action, Harris has long arms with big hands. he looks pretty good. Bowen looks solid also.

    6. Leodis is a thoroughbred.

    7. Beast Mode looks stout/relaxed/rugged.

    Was a great night!
