I think they are pretty funny during the summer because they have greg bauch but as far as football coverage it's pretty terrible.

I see it here so often...dozens of threads a year, maybe more....ESPN snubbed us...love us...talk about us...please Colin Cownerd, please VALIDATE my team...as of they are the authority...please tell me how good the Bills are...how dangerous they can be etc...I NEED this to show that my team matters..
Please...I really want to get into the psyche of the Bills fan here who watches ESPN all the time, craving for that validation from Mike and Mike, or Colin Cowherd, or whomever...why does this matter so much? Why is it important for sports people in the middle of nowhere in Connecticut to tell us how good we are, or give us attention?
You want attention? Win games. You want Mort at your camp? Win games. You want ESPN to talk to you BESIDES T.O? Win games. They have NOT done that in 9 years. Without T.O, we are as compelling nationally as the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA...sorry to say.
Explain.
P.S. And I know most of you will come here and say, eh I never watch ESPN, but yet you know EXACTLY what they talk about...let's just come clean here: We all watch ESPN, for better or for worse.
not to bash your thread but you should be a little more careful with your words here, they do win games. As for my opinion when you hear people talk about your team you want it to be in a good light because then there will be more coverage of your team, better announcers, more primetime games, more merchandise revenue, more spending ability, etc. All it takes are a couple good words to make your franchise more marketable and therefore better.

you may call it over-protection of rookies
it is more likely another mistake in the draft room that will be covered up by not playing the guy to expose how bad he is.
yeh keep sticking with that one

Another option for some people is buying a slingbox. It connects to your home receiver and then sends the signal to any computer that has the internet. It's a pretty good quality picture and its only a one time fee. So for someone like me who's in college during bills/sabres seasons I still get to watch every game.
It's better if you have Time Warner because you can hook up two "tv's" to the box (say a digital box and a straight basic coax) because that way if you don't want to watch exactly what you have on your home tv you can switch to basic cable and quality is no different. I switched over to fios and now would have to pay the money for an extra box to have that luxury, but I haven't found it to be a problem since I only use it for the games.
One time fee smaller than $250 >> $250 plus $100 a year with Ticket

The wii version is pretty fun but I'm more of a nhl 09 guy because it's probably the best sports game franchise out right now.

I have to admit that he's not going to have an easy time going up against revis, lito and co.

We have a bunch of Bills haters in the press talking about nothing. We had a great draft, revamped our O-line and picked up the highest producing WR over the past 3 years. Dallas didn't win any SB with T.O. either but they can buy anyone they want and we have their best offensive weapon now. Stroud was a weapon last year, POZ our highest producing tackler, we now have a new great first stepper in Maybin and have a few healthy people coming back.
I attribute all of this to our current coaching staff and give 0 credit outside of it. I see bigger things for us this year and the light will finally shine on Buffalo instead of the usual suspects. DJ, Russ and crew get this season to put it all together, they have my support, the bigger question is do they have yours?
I'll have what you're having!

despite the fact that we are apparently doomed either way I don't see that on the website.

Have friends traveling to WNY next week and they want to try "the best beef on weck" in the area. I told them Schwable's but it's been a long time since I've had BOW in WNY....is it still the best?
Schwable's is still fantastic so you told them well.

Oddly, I found it without too much trouble.

Trying to learn blocking schemes in a no-contact OTA environment is not the best use of his time. Learn the pass routes with the WRs and wait til camp to worry about blocking.
Exactly, I don't understand why all the TE's aren't just working with the WR's in OTA's. They should already know their assignments mentally and if they can't actually hit people, what's the point in doing drills on blocking? I think they should all be working on the non-contact part of their games during OTA's. Hopefully during Training Camp we'll see Nelson and co doing the OL drills where they can hit each other.

Well, then the Bills have a track record of being more "turvy" than "topsy".
The Bills had very few injuries last year and won't be playing the worst division in football, the NFC West.
Regarding luck, chance does not seem to favor the Bills very often.
D.J. has the effect of William Macy in "The Cooler". Any luck there was to be had is sucked into space by Jauron putting the team in bad situations.

I actually like the home jerseys and don't really get the arena football league besides the royal blue piping. The aways however are terrible and the navy shoulders need to be replaced with just white.
I like the sabres jersey now after getting used to it. I think the numbers on front and patches are a great look compared to most hockey jerseys, especially non nhl jerseys.
Unfortunately, they are right in saying that the 3rd jersey/throwback jerseys for both teams are a better option although I prefer the new sabres navy version of the two swords logo over the old royal and gold.

First off, let me say I don't really follow baseball much.
I'm a Red sox fan only because in school people would say who do you like better, sox or yanks and that was when the Yankees were buying world series left and right while the red sox were paying much less and still competing.
I go to college in Pennsylvania and my roomate is a huge phils fan so I started liking them too because they weren't all that good but had likeable guys. Granted this is before they even made the playoffs.
So in both cases I started liking a team right before they got good and am seen as a bandwagon fan...oh well. At least I started liking them before they won instead of a buddy of mine who claims he's not a bandwagon Pats* fan even though he started liking them the same year they won their first SB, doesn't know anything about football but wears a Brady* jersey and is from Long Island. But he's not a bandwagon fan...

Everything about NBC's non game broadcast. The pregame and halftime shows don't even show highlights of the games anymore. They do special interest pieces instead of showing the week's games or even previewing the night game. The NFL made a big mistake in not allowing NFL primetime to continue sunday nights.

Not everyone likes Duffs. Their wings tend to be relatively dry/crispy. If you like your wings like that, then you'll probably like Duffs. If you like your wings more saucy, you might not like Duffs.
Lots of places in WNY have good/great wings. I haven't been to Hemmingways downtown in many years, but every time I had wings there they were big and great.
Maybe the two Duffs locations are different but whenever I go to the Duffs in OP, whether it's medium or medium-hot they are drenched with sauce, nothing dry at all about them. Also Duff's has better all around food than Anchor bar, which is a huge disappointment for any Buffalonian.
Also try Buffalo Sports Garden in West Seneca and the Big Tree Inn right next to the stadium with the berman statue.

My top 5 is:
1. Jets
2. Dolphins
3. Vikings
4. Chiefs
5. Oakland
..to need to draft a WR in the first round next year.

I think its that there were two egos on that team, one with TO and one with JJ, and JJ won.

Did you miss the first three quarters of his post?
You mean the part where he said they weren't going to move it from SJF and you were saying they shouldn't too? I still might be missing something here. I'm not trying to get in a war of words, just a little lost.

Hey tim, thanks for responding to my Canadian flag email a while ago. Hope fins camp doesn't make you too insane.
Another question though. We all know the rule about minicamp and rookies with final exams late into the summer. Why do teams not push their minicamp back a week so that they can avoid this, especially if they draft someone such as Byrd who can't make them? It seems as though a week of extra rest is less important than getting every player possible into camp, including someone who could be the starting FS this year.
Is there an NFL rule that states there needs to be a certain amount of R&R time between minicamp and training camp?
I'll drink one at the swannie in your honor Timbo Slice!

With Brandon's ties to SJF I doubt Buffalo will move it. The camp is in between Syracuse and Buffalo and that's the perfect spot if you ask me.
Maybe you skipped the sarcasm on purpose but in case you didn't catch it he was referring to Hamilton as a joke since Jim Balsillie wants to move the Phoenix Coyotes to Hamilton thus creating 3 NHL teams within a 50 mile radius.
Just trying to help.

That's a tough question, I think you definitely need to consider it but it really depends on how the injury happened (another fluke) or if Fitzpatrick/Hamdan could fill the shoes well enough. If the right circumstances occurred I could see the FO seeking a starting caliber QB in free agency or drafting a highly rated qb next year.
-
Your right but that can be said about every position, even QB. If you could get dominant at five positions in this league, your going to be pretty good eitherway.
exactly, and the most important thing mentioned is that it depends on the system that you play in. For example, a 3-4 DT is more important than a 4-3 DT and the opposite is true for MLB. In a cover 2 the DE is extremely important where as the OLB is very important in a 3-4.
That being said, here is my top 5 for the current Bills situation (in no particular oder):
QB
C(probably not in here if the bills were in a different division)
DE
FS
DT
I put FS in there over LT because I feel that they can be more of a difference maker in a game than LT can. A great FS makes more of an impact than a great LT, albeit not by much.

Hey, we're not all bad fans/trolls. As for me, I've been on bb.com message board for years and figured that's where most of the big fans were...until I found out it was generally wrong. I'm not much of a constant poster but I will chime in when needed such as the wood/levitre comment where I along with every single poster with an adequate IQ ripped BB fan 4 life a new one. If it wasn't my "1st post ever" I would have put boom... roasted at the end but I know enough to not post like that until respect is gained.

I've been using the slingbox for 4 years now and can't be happier with it. I have a relatively old box and it still has great quality plus no monthly fees is a huge plus. Also, in case you don't understand his "C" point, you can watch your slingbox on your computer wherever you have internet or on any computer with internet through sling.com which is a free option for slingbox users.
