  1. On NFL network, they are convinced that they are going to keep McNabb and Vick. They think that they will trade Kolb. And they talked about the Browns being the team he goes to.

I'll be very frank in saying this: In 2002, Bledsoe was "allegedly" going to be our savior...Didn't happen.(Although he was the last QB to deliver a "winning" season. If they sign McNabb, fine. But we NEED to draft a QB, the right QB, in April with our first pick. Is there a defining pick that stands out, ala Peyton Manning? No. Whatever pick we take is going to have a question mark on it, be-it Tebow, Claussen, Bradford, LeFevour, etc. But we definitely need one of those guys, no matter

if we get McNabb or the Dog executioner.

WAR- Miss Teen South Carolina butchering the english language.

  2. By the looks of things, all signs are pointing to Owens not being here next year, making Lee Evans the number one again, although he was the number one last year (technically). Josh Reed is a free-agent, and I'm officially declaring Hardy a bust. Steve Johnson showed some upside two years ago, and never really got a shot this year with T.O. here, so do the Bills go after another WR either in the draft, or preferably(IMO) free-agency?

  3. Not to mention Rice operated in an offense with John Taylor, Roger Craig, Tom Rathman, a decent TE (Brent Johnson?). Most other great WRs had much more space than TO.

I like him and hope TO comes back....or that James Hardy steps up. As a side note, don't you find it interesting that we passed on great FOOTBALL players like Haloti Ngata and Desean Jackson because they weren't the right KIND of football player. It's frustrating that we focused on the type and not the ability.

I just hope we get a couple great football players in the draft. Like TO.

    Brent Jones.

Actually he was a below average QB with a hall of fame QB...And, quite the arrogant jackass broadcaster.

  4. Just listening to Rome on 550, he stated in an interview that Terrell Owens stated that he would have already surpassed Jerry Rice's numbers in the NFL record books if he'd played with good quarterbacks like Brady, Manning or Brees, "without question".

    UH-OH!

Nothing like saying you've never played with a good quarterback in you're career, huh? I can see this past year with, well, whatever you wanna call our quarterback "situation" here. But I guess guys like Romo and McNabb, who by the way, took Owens to his only Superbowl appearance, are garbage. Oh, and there was that two year stint with some guy named Steve Young, whoever that is...

  5. My apologize to Kota on one point. I do agree we need to get a QB of the future and not a quick fix, and the front office needs to get that right, FOR ONCE. But just bring Donovan in, sign him to a 2 year deal, draft a QB, let him sit and watch McNabb for a couple of years. I've never been a fan of starting a rookie QB right away. The Flaccos and Ryans don't come along very often and Baltimore and Atlanta were just plain lucky on those ones.

That's why I'm very nervous about Buffalo choosing a QB in the 1st round. It very rarely works out. I honestly think Detroit missed on Stafford, there's just something about him that isn't right. I would draft a tackle at 9 then get your QB in Round two. But I've just always been in favor of letting a veteran QB groom a young guy. The Bledsoe-Losman transition didn't pan out, but its just my opinion.

  6. YE OLE likes that commercial where it's all like "DONOVAN SHAVES WITH... CHUNKY SOOOOOUUUUUP"

My feeling is that despite everything that has gone wayward with the coach search and what not... if the F.O. pulls this off and gets McNabb in here, it gains them back a lot of currency.

Also, I feel we have a legitimate chance to win immediately with McNabb under center. We can all debate whether McNabb can win the big one or how he does in the playoffs (although he is 9-6 in the playoffs as a starter), but the fact is as a 5 time Pro Bowler and a guy that's consistently thrown for 3500 yds. a season, and a better than 2 to 1 TD/INT ratio he's FAR better than anyone other option we'll have for next season.

9-6====15 playoff games since he was drafted in 1999=Buffalo's last playoff appearance!!! hmmmmmm....

  7. They won't reconcile. I can't stand Mcnabb. He tries to have the golden boy image to the media but he never takes any responsibility for his own bad play.

Bad Play? Responsibility? The guy has taken that once mediocre franchise to four NFC title games, countless playoff games, and a Super Bowl. Oh by the way, this has all taken place in the same ten-year playoff drought that we've had to endure. So you'd complain if we signed him and he took us to our first playoff appearance in ten years, right? AND, you'd bash him for losing the playoff game, right?....SULLY???? z'at u???

  8. I'm not sure how realistic these reports are, but I've been reading all day about the Bills and Rams being interested in Donovan McNabb.

If by some chance the Bills do trade for McNabb, I'm assuming the odds, as slim as they were to begin with, of Terrell Owens resigning are out the window. Although T.O.'s numbers weren't huge this year, I did think he was a great teammate. Any opinions on maybe these two greats possibly reconcilling?

  9. As the season draws to a close and we gear up for FA and the Draft, the Bills have a number of holes to fill.

DE Aaron Kampman of the Packers is set to hit FA. He is a beast 4-3 DE but struggled mightily as a 3-4 OLB as the Packers made the switch under Dom Capers. He wound up on IR due to an ACL tear but should be ready for camp.

No longer a fit in GB, he may become available via FA.

While I'm aware we have yet to hire a DC and may very well end up switching to a 3-4, I really don't think we have the personnel to make such a change. I also think the trend of NFL defenses will begin to shift back to the 4-3. As a note, the two SB teams run 4-3 and three of the four teams that played this weekend do too. It's all about personnel and how you use them.

In any case, with Schobel's possible retirement, Kelsay's average-at-best play and the unknown that is Maybin, we could use a guy like Kampman to help us do what we've had a hard time doing: Turfing the opposing team's QB.

I think this is a realistic possibility and a very good fit for both sides.

    Thoughts?

    No

  10. Tom Brady and Larry Fitzgerald are reportedly not going to play in the Pro Bowl this year due to injuries. With the two SuperBowl represenatives not playing their players, this year's All-Star game that will be played for the first time prior to the SuperBowl is shaping up to be the equivalent of watching paint dry.

Not that I ever got into the game that much anyway, but do we even have to have this game every year. There's absolutely zero point to even having this game. It's incredible, the NFL is the most spectated, highest rated major pro sport in the country, yet they hold the most pointless all-star game.
